"Isekai novels? What does that have to do with anything?" Percy said, confusion clear on his face.

"Well… what would you say of I told you that I can send you to another world?" Said Tet, tapping his cheek in a contemplating manor.

"I'd say that it was a little played out. I mean, I've been to hell… and Olympus… so…"

Tet rolled his eyes as he said, "No, those are just different dimensions. I'm talking an entire different world."

Waving his hands, a wave of magic swept the area as a giant projection appeared. Multiple different planets appeared in the projection as Percy could only stare in shock.

Some world's were falling apart while some world's were in the midst of being created.

Tet spread his arms wide as he said, "Another world. A completely different world from the one you know. Some world's don't have humans, while others don't contain life. Each and every world is different."

"This… is what I wanted to show you. I'd like to give you another chance at life. Normally, sending people to other worlds is against the laws of nature but I've worked something out with the god of that world."

Suddenly, Tet's face became serious as he said, "However, you gotta think hard on your choice son. Once you cross over, I won't be able to bring you back. You won't have anyone but yourself to depend on once you arrive in the other world."

Percy fell into thought as he tried to find a reason to stay. His mother was happily living her life, Grover was still the same old party animal, Tyson was currently touring the world.

The more Percy thought over his reasons to stay, the more reasons to go popped up. Like how his 'friends' from the camp stopped talking to him after he defeated Gaia.

I mean, the only one who actually still kept in contact with him was Clarisse. She used to be such a bully when he was attending the camp but after the battle with Gaia, she changed. Her attitude towards him did at least.

She actually became one of his good friends but they didn't hang out that often considering he had to work hard enough to buy that stupid ring.

Pulling out his phone, Percy opened Clarisse's contact and stared at it for a few minutes before calling her.

She picked up almost instantly as her prideful yet clearly happy voice said, "Percy! What's up? It's… kinda weird, you calling me out of the blue like this?"

A smile appeared on his face as he said, "Uhhh… well, I just wanted to call you. Maybe talk for a bit? Only if your not busy, that is."

"No no no! I'm definitely not busy!"

Faintly, Percy could hear a lady yelling in the back ground.

"Clarisse! Get off that phone and come help with the chores!"

The sound of something being thrown around could be heard from the other side as Clarisse voice said in a muffled tone, "Come on Tanya! Just give me minute! You-know-who is calling me and I just want to talk for a couple minutes!"

Percy could barely hear Tanya's sigh as she said, "Your lucky I'm such a good roommate. Fine, talk with your… you-know-what. Take all the time you need."

"Thank you!~"

Percy chuckled as he started catching up with Clarisse. He didn't talk about his break up with Annabeth as he didn't want to bring her down. Instead, he opted to just ask about how she was.

And boy was she talkative. She's currently staying with her friend, attending an art college. ART COLLEGE! She knew it was weird, with her being the daughter of Aries and all but she said it helps her deal with her more… volatile emotions.

He didn't know how long but his phone started beeping. Looking at the screen, Percy's eyes widened as he hastily said, "Sorry Clarisse, my phones about to die."

A cute yawn echoed from the other side as Clarisse replied, "It's fine Percy~ My phone is about to die as well. Wow~ We've been talking for almost 3 hours."

The pair went silent for a second before Percy spoke up, "Um... Clarisse?"

"Yes?"

"I've got something to tell ask you…"

The sound of frantic rustling could be heard from the phone as Clarisse stoically replied, "I'm listening…"

Taking a deep breath, Percy said, "I… might be leaving for a while."

Her tone obviously dropped as she said, "Oh… for how long?"

"For… forever. I'm not coming back."

Percy braced himself but he still couldn't help but shrink back as Clarisse screamed, "WHAT!?!"

For a few minutes, Percy could only stand there with a wry smile on his face as Clarisse roared at him over the phone.

Her yells seemed to cut through his ears as by the time she finished screaming, Percy had to take another minute just to get rid of the ringing in his ears.

Both Percy and Clarisse were silent for a couple seconds before a quiet voice filled with unwillingness muttered, "…Why?"

Percy gave a long sigh as he replied, "I… don't really want to talk about it. I just felt like I needed to tell someone that I was leaving."

A soft sobbing sound could be heard through the phone as Clarisse said, "O-okay… take care of yourself Percy. Remember, if you ever want to come back, you can always come hang out with me."

Tears poured down Percy's face as the reality of the situation finally set in. He was leaving the only world he's ever known. His friends, his family, he was going to be leaving it all behind.

His shoulders trembled as he forced himself to stay strong, at least until he finished his call, "I will…"

"…I know this isn't the best time to say this but Percy, I've-" Before she could finish her sentence, Percy's phone finally died.

Percy sighed one last time before turning towards Tet. The childlike god was floating around in the air with what seemed to be an old handheld game.

Seeing that Percy was done with his call, Tet threw the game into the air as it faded into motes of light.

"Have you come to a decision son?"

Clenching his fist, Percy stared down at his hands in pain. He did so much for the world, both the mortal and the supernatural, yet to the person who he saw as his other half, he was nothing more than a tool.

The people he called 'friends' left him the moment he fulfilled his purpose. Hell, the only real friends he had left were his satyr protector and his past bully.

With a determined look in his eyes, Percy stared at Tet and said, "I'm ready."

It was only two words but they told Tet all he needed to hear. With a conflicted look on his face, Tet floated towards Percy and pulled him into a deep and affectionate hug.

"I'm sorry you had to go through all that son. I'm sorry I was never there for you or your mother. And… I'm sorry it took this long for me to build up the courage to disobey Zeus's law and come see you."

Tet suddenly pushed Percy back gently as a vortex appeared, pulling Percy inside before slamming shut.

He stared at the spot where his son last stood before sighing. Then, Tet's mouth started to twitch as his happy and fun-loving smile quickly transformed into a cruel and angry frown, filled with hatred.

"Just because of some prophecy, my son was used as a tool and made to suffer. Now, this entire world will suffer my wrath…" Said Tet.

With a snap of his fingers, a hole in space appeared. A dangerous gleam danced in his eyes as he walked through the hole and disappeared.

Not long after he disappeared, a large pillar of lightning struck the pier, but that is a story for another time.
