Legendary Shadow

Chapter 66 - Final Badge

Liam made his way back to the old lady to pick up shadow before he left the islands to go challenge the gym. Shadow was excited to see Liam but the old lady had grown attached to Shadow. She didn't want him to leave, she made an excuse that he hadn't learn the move completely yet which Shadow quickly told Liam that the lady was lying.

Shadow quickly faded into Liam's shadow as they left the old ladies house and made their way out of the island. Liam made his way to Viridian City and reached there after almost a week of traveling. When he got there, the gym had been completely rebuilt.

It looked more brighter compared to the old gym. The gym was pretty empty when Liam got there and noticed that there was an appointment sign up machine sitting inside. He quickly registered himself and picked the time that he wanted to have his battle so that the gym leader would be available for it.

He had set his time up for that very evening when the gym leader was free so after leaving he went to go train a little bit with Kangaskhan and Shadow for the upcoming battle. Liam wanted to use Kangaskhan in order to get the experience.

Liam had to wait until the evening and then finally made his way to the gym, where a man in the mask was waiting for him. This man was none other then John, the one that signed Liam up for Team Rocket the first time around and had gotten robbed from him. John recognized Liam right away as the guy that went around spoiling all their plans.

Giovanni had not told anybody about Liam's secret identity so John didn't know that Liam was the same guy that he had doing missions a couple of months ago for him. John introduced himself and told him that this was an official match and that he was going to use one Pokemon during this match.

If Liam is able to defeat this Pokemon he will receive his 8th badge. Liam nodded and took out a pokeball and summoned Kangaskhan. John was surprised by this but wasn't worried as he took out the pokeball that Giovanni had left him. This was a level 60 NidoKing, this NidoKing wasn't too happy that Giovanni had given him away.

Whenever he came out he did not listen to John but John didn't mind him because he was only doing a favor for Giovanni for a few months and then he would leave the place. The battle started with NidoKing using Poison Sting. Kangaskhan quickly dodged it and used Sucker Punch, but it didn't affect NidoKing at all.

Because Kangaskhan was so close NidoKing grabbed Kangaskhan and unleashed the Hyper Beam on her. Kangaskhan struggled to get back up but had eventually fainted. The match was quick and John started to taunt Liam saying" is that all you got".

Liam responds by saying" that was just had the appetizer, time to give you the main course". Liam summoned Shadow and John put on a serious face on. John knew this was going to be a challenging match. Liam ordered Shadow to charge up his new move that he had went to learn Hydro Cannon.

Shadow warned Liam he will be weaken after using this move, so he has to make sure that it hits. Liam nodded his head and started giving out a few orders to get close enough to use that move. John could sense the power that Shadow was gathering and warned NidoKing to watch out and be careful but Nidoking didn't pay any attention to John started attacking Shadow with a Thrash attack.

Shadow used Shadow Movement to dodge and just as NidoKing passed through Shadow and was close enough he finally unleashed the Hydro Cannon which blasted Nidoking away causing great damage to the gym. John was mad because they had just fixed up this gym but Liam came and messed it up once again.

John was quite impressed with Shadows power and ask him if Shadow was for sale or for trade. He kept offering Liam money and all sorts of rare Pokemon that were on the market, but Liam refused and so John had no choice but to give up on trying to get Shadow.

John gave Liam his final badge and told him that he qualifies for the league championship that was to be held in a few weeks and that after getting the final badge he was going to automatically register Liam. Liam was grateful for that because he didn't know where to go and register.

Liam made his way up to the Pokemon center to get Kangaskhan healed up and get rest up before traveling back to Saffron City to wait for the rest of his team to arrive. Liam hoped that they were doing fine and stayed safe. Liam was curious about what kind of adventures they went through.

They had one more week before it was time to meet up again. Next day Liam made his way to Saffron City, he was sitting on Shadows back while they flew across mountain ranges and cities on the way to Saffron City. Today he had seen a Zapdos passing by luckily she just ignored him and didn't pay him no mind.

Zapdos did take a long look at Shadow before shaking her head and leaving. She felt the familiarity with Shadow but didn't want to approach him due to Liam riding on his back. Zapdos was thinking what a shame for a legendary Pokemon to be ridden by a human being. Zapdos had a lot of pride and would never allow anybody to ride on her.

Seeing a human ride on one of her own kind discussed her strongly. Liam had finally arrived at Saffron City where he went to go to the Fighting Dojo to say hi to everyone and do some light training with his old sensei's. Everybody at the gym was happy to see he was doing all right and had even gotten stronger.

Master Kiyo was impressed with his talents, Sabrina had also sensed him when he had came into to the city and was excited. She wanted to go see him but notice that he had went to that Fighting Dojo and decided to give him some space until he settled down.

Her parents noticed that she seemed to be happier during this day and wondered what had happened, her belly was twice the size from before and it seemed like it kept growing larger and larger. Her powers were unstable during this pregnancy and she could tell that her energy was being drained every day from the child.

Sabrina knew that this child would be quite powerful because of all the energy he/she seems to be taking from her everyday. She was honestly tired of it due to this she couldn't even focus during battles and her Pokemon had to pull all the weights without her instructions.
