Legendary Shadow

Chapter 67 - Charizard POV

Charizard POV

After I left my master I decided to fly down to Pallet Town to see my parents. Along the way I had met and battled a lot of flying type Pokemons. They were beyond annoying but I was able to defeat them all. I finally arrived in Pallet Town and I went straight to that professors place.

The professor noticed me asked me what I was doing here but I couldn't explain to him that I was looking for my parents because he couldn't understand what I was saying but his Charizard that was nearby heard everything and quickly called me over.

He told me that he was my dad and that my mother was located in a different region. He asked me what I was doing here and I told him I came here for training. He got excited and told me that he's going to put me through hell which I did not mind.

He told me to get some rest because the next day we're going to work our asses off and I did just that and went to bed. I was beyond excited to have finally met my father and couldn't wait to meet my mother but I was more excited to get stronger in order to stay by Masters side.

The next day arrived the professor got us something to eat which was quite delicious compared to my masters cooking. I felt like this food was giving me more energy to burn things. I met up with my father and we started training, he took me to a secluded island in the ocean and had me use flamethrower on the water for half a day and told me that it was part of the training.

He wanted my fire to be able to penetrate all the way down to the bottom of the ocean, this shocked me because I knew how hard that would be and how impossible that would be but I kept at it after a few hours I was beyond tired and I even started to have burn marks all over my mouth.

Father gave me something to heal my wounds from the training and I took a break, he told me the next part would be speed and stamina. He wanted me to fly as high as possible and then dive back down and try to avoid falling into the ocean. At this point I was scared because me and water was not a good mix.

I had agreed to do this training so I couldn't back out and so I started to fly high until I could barely breathe due to the pressure. I turned around and dove down. The speed that I was coming down with brought tears to my eyes but I wanted to get stronger so I pushed it aside and tried to focus as much as possible.

My wings felt like they were going to tear off, i saw the water approaching and tried to turn my wings in order to slow down my fall but the speed I was coming down with didn't allow me to move my wings at all and before I knew it I was swimming and the ocean with the fishes. I thought I was going to die until I saw some heat piercing through the water.

The water split in half with raging flames and a arm grabbed me out of the water and pulled me out. My father started laughing and told me "that I did a good job but we have alot of work to do since you probably have never worked on your wings before". He told me that I'd have to strengthen my wings.

We started my next training which I had to keep hitting a huge Boulder that was on the island until I was able to cut it in half. I started doing as he said and by the end of the day I was all bruised up, I can barely move my wings so father had to fly me back home where I got healed up and rested for the next day.

The following weeks I was doing the same stuff over and over again but I started to see progress. I felt like the amount of times I dipped into the ocean I was starting to get used to the water and I might even learn how to swim during that time but it took a lot of energy to keep my fire on my tail burning.

I was able to burn halfway through the ocean at this point which was big progress according to father. I still couldn't cut through the boulder but my wings had gotten stronger and I was able to stop a little bit during my dive and fly a little bit higher. Another week had passed by and I was finally able to stop during the dives.

I was pretty excited to be finished with one part of my training and I didn't need to go swimming with the fishes anymore. I started to focus on my Flamethrower on the Sea. I was almost at the bottom but I still felt like I was still far from it at the same time.

During this time I had bonded with my father and we got along pretty well. He wouldn't tell me what kind of Pokemon my mother was but he also told me that it wasn't a Charizard which surprised me, I was wondering what kind of Pokemon she was. I hope that I can meet her one day, we continue training and one day I had felt Master's presence.

I wanted to go say hi but I didn't want to disappoint father by leaving halfway through the training so I continue to push through and finally finished all the training. I was able to cut the Boulder in half learning steel wing and my Flamethrower could burn a hole in the ocean.

I was also able to fly high enough to almost reach space, during that time I learned how to use the move Seismic Toss. Father told me that my training wasn't done and that the second half was going to begin in a few days and I should get some rest and heal up before we go.
