Now Alyx thoughts got shifted to how he can increase his rank in the Aon society. Every Aon is part of 'Aon force' active or not and upon joining it officially they get the rank Junior Lieutenant. A new born Aon is of the lowest rank at O-1 and the Fleet Admiral at the highest at O-10. The ranks are as follows.

In Aons Civilization rank does not represent strength but authority and access to information, latest technology...etc. But generally higher the rank greater the strength.

O-1 Recruits

Newborn Aons who are still in their adaptation period. During large scale operations they are forcefully conscripted. At normal times they can join Aon force while they are in the adaptation period but it is not recommended due to the high mortality of Aons at lower ranks.

O-2 Jr Lieutenant

Aons who have joined the Aon force start at a minimum of this rank. Some might have higher ranks from the start due to their contribution in other fields before joining Aon force. They are heads of small squads made up of other races or robots. The size of the squad varies based on their competency.

O-3 Lieutenant

They are the heads of large squads comprised of many Jr Lieutenants. The size of the squad varies based on their competency.

O-4 Lt Commander

The first of the senior officers. Lt Commanders are often found in number on larger warships and installations that require large crews or personnel. They are experts in their specialized fields.

O-5 Commander

There are about twice as many commanders in the Aon Force as there are captains. Commanders often serve as the heads of most departments on the warships they also hold key advisory positions. Commanders may also be in command of many of the alliance's space stations and other important structures.

O-6 Captain

At this rank most personal are given command of there own warship and take orders directly form the Admiral in command of the fleet, the ship is apart of.

O-7 General

The lowest Admiral rank. They are often given small fleet of their own which are are part of larger fleets.

O-8 Vice Admiral

At this rank Admirals can be given control of fleets however this is only done if no Admirals are available.

O-9 Admiral

In charge of whole fleets admirals play a key role in any large scale action or strategic planing. They are given power to take action independently. During peace times they hold the power to manage their fleet and are answerable to none.

O-10 Fleet Admiral

Few officers ever reach this rank even most Admirals remain at their rank for a long time before they get here but those who do make it here are often given permanent seat on the Aon council. During emergencies all the power is centralized in the hands of Fleet Admiral.

They control the fate of the universe and are responsible for all major decisions.

At times of crisis forceful conscription is done and Alyx sighed as there were no major expeditions or war going on now. Aons were an individualistic race of AIs with no common binding factor so they won't listen to any orders usually and spend time at their own pace doing what they like. Many Aons hate this system as it a one way ticket to purgatory for low ranked Aons. The only reason for them joining Aons is to have safety and access to higher technology and research.

'Each rank has their own responsibilities and privileges. Right now I don't even have any rank and if I don't join the force and try to develop in another direction then I don't know when I'll reach the junior lieutenant rank and Neo must be at the rank if a captain or general' Alyx was perplexed how to proceed but made up his mind to join Aon force as it is the fastest way to gain power.

"But first I have to strengthen myself so that I don't die immediately. Only after thorough preparation will I be able to succeed" Alyx was determined.

He began by first trying to develop Ax. He gave Ax access to his memories so that it can quickly learn from his experience and improve the mutual understanding between the two. While ax was doing this he moved his concentration to the next important thing his physical capability.

Although Neo mentioned that his body is not similar to a human body, although it appears like that. But he still did not notice any significant physical boost but he was satisfied by its mind power as he was now able to thing much faster and able to remember recollect easily. It's also capable of storing Ax and still not feel strained and he is sure that it is not even its limit.

After looking for some time about the power of Aons, Alyx had only one thing to say

"Fuck Aons are seriously OP"

Aons increase their strength just by plug and play.

[You want to move at very fast speeds don't worry we got you covered just for ***CP]

"Each one is more dangerous and ominous and OP than the last. The entire Aon race is nothing but a pay to win player in this world. NO wonder they don't make it accessible to others so easily and require large contribution points." Aons can also do their own research and build their own gear.

In large scale battles they use swarm techniques with an unlimited cannon fodder of robot fleet, other races and experimental monsters.

"This world is just …" Alyx was unable to complete the sentence as he can't even use an appropriate word to describe just how dangerous and brutal it is here.

Other than this the Aons can also use the training system of other creatures or species by modifying their body. While browsing Alyx was shocked to see cultivation system, Magic system and other familiar power systems available to Aons.

'At this point I should stop getting shocked and just accept everything and anything is available to Aons.' The only relief to Alyx is that many Aons don't accumulate their CP and instead use them to upgrade themselves to the best they can afford. He made up his mind not to provoke any Aon even if it is of the bottom most rank.

After thinking to here Alyx was suddenly struck with the realization of just how difficult it is to increase rank. To increase rank he needs strength to survive and CP but to increase his strength he also needs CP.

"There can never be too much CP in this world." After coming to this conclusion Alyx just lost all motivation and decided to sleep. An Aon sleeping if anyone saw this they would be shocked as it can only be achieved by shutting off all perception systems, which is a dangerous habit. But Alyx just gave all responsibilities to Ax and went to sleep. He tried his best to emulate a REM sleep.

Aon have a different concept of time but Alyx created his own Earth clock and decided to follow it. Ax would convert everything into Earth values for Alyx.

"I don't know when Neo will call me and tell me what to do next." Neo left Alyx and went to handle some urgent matters but he did not give him a time for their next meeting. All he can do is wait for Neo to call back and in the meantime do some more research so that he can at least not die suddenly without knowing what happened.

A few days passed by and during this time he started cramming and analyzing as much information as he can but there was no news from Neo many time he wanted to just return to the former initiation hall but he just stayed in his living quarters as this time is also useful for his cramming sessions.

Alyx started to believe that Neo forgot about him when Neo finally returned.

"I had some urgent matter to handle so had to leave for a short moment. Now I'll tell you what you have to do here."

Alyx stayed silent but he was retorting inside, 'A short moment…. Hahaha...It's been a month. What kind of distorted time sense is that?'
