Right after Xia Shishu received his achievement, he hurriedly stripped the sandwich of its wrapper, wanting to devour it.

Taking a bite out of it, Xia Shishu felt an immense sense of satisfaction.

"Hahaha I wonder if I can use the reward card right away? Maybe I can become a superhuman!" Xia Shishu thought to himself as he ate his sandwich while walking home.

Thinking to himself how great he will become with the help of the system, Xia Shishu clicked Yes without hesitation.

Xia Shishu clenched his fist in anticipation. He hoped to get the highest number! To become the most amazing protagonist EVER!

"F.U.C.K! Why?! Why?! System!! Why?!?! Where is my over the top numbers?!"

Xia Shishu tears up with grief. There are some novels where protagonists gets nothing, and some where the protagonists gets OVERPOWERED! Why is his System so normal?! He must question the System!

"System! Why didn't I get 20 points! Did you cheat me??"

Hearing the system answer him, Xia Shishu puffed his c.h.e.s.t and took a deep breath.

"Forget it. Forget it. Maybe I'll get more points next time." XiaShishu's face revealed a bitter smile.

He remembered that he still doesn't know how he stands in terms of the average stats.

Xia Shishu shook his head, trying to console himself. Maybe his stats could still be considered above the average human.

"System, what is the average human's stats points?" Xia Shishu asked the System with a mild tone.

[The average human stats is around 50. Host's stats are considered a bit below average. The Average points of humans is an estimation made by the system according to the standard of humans in this world.]

Xia Shishu was utterly devastated. Why is his stats so average? He is in the top 10 at school, and his physical self isn't that too far off from his peers!

Nonetheless, the soft wind blown on his face made him realize that everything is real. His feelings were hard to describe at the moment. He felt regret, sadness, and joy.

Looking at the interface, he secretly wished for it to go away. To his surprise, the system read his mind and the interface disappeared.

When he returned home, Xia Shishu threw his sandwich wrapper into the trash and went to sit at the kitchen table.

Even though his system isn't the overpowered system he wanted, he was still happy to receive it nonetheless.

"Since I have received a System, I have to change my bad habits. Maybe I'll earn money so I can live a good life and let my sister live without worry. As for my parents… err… well they seem to like their job."

Just when Xia Shishu was planning for his future, he heard the door lock open. Looking at the clock on his phone, Xia Shishu was surprised that it's already 3:30PM!

His sister has returned home with groceries she bought from the market. Xia Shishu was delighted because the little sandwich didn't fill him up!

During the weekdays and at times when his parents aren't home, Xia Lina would buy groceries and make food for Xia Shishu and herself.

While Xia Lina did her own stuff, Xia Shishu got out his phone and surfed the web. He browsed through the latest news.

Most of the information he found on the internet was all about the new Virtual Reality game, Second Reality.

The highly anticipated official release of Second Reality was two weeks ago on the 12th of April, 20xx. The first generation Virtual Reality was not accepted by many before Second Reality was released because they had to move their bodies together with their virtual characters. Their physical bodies limited them from indulging themselves in the virtual world for an extended amount of time. For those who disregarded their health, they had to be sent to the hospital.

Those two limiting factors were kicked out of the door when Second Reality was released. With a 98% realism within Second Reality, more and more players joined over the last two weeks. Having nearly broke around 1.12 billion daily players around the world. To make it even more amazing, Second Reality allowed the players to play in their sleep and free time. Though, the second reality developers couldn't find a way to extend the time ratios of reality and Second Reality…

Even so, the Second Reality device that allowed access was free! The governments of all the countries funded Second Reality's development and deployed it for a particular goal. To reduce conflicts and wars. They hoped to bring those things into Second Reality. People wouldn't die in real life when their HP reaches 0.

To make it more acceptable to the masses, all the countries even agreed to let everyone that is above 15 years old access Second Reality. They also did not allow people with a high criminal record play Second Reality as they can decrease the crime rates this way.

Just in the past two weeks, crime rates decreased by 43%! It's to say that their idea of attracting people by turning Second Reality into a VRMMORPG was a great idea. In that world, opportunities were everywhere! But that freedom is only free after reaching level 10.

One can open a business.

They can even make a hospital to cure debuffs in the future.

Heck, they can even make a brothel if they have sufficient authority!

S.e.x.u.a.l harassment would be nearly impossible because one would just feel flat boards if they didn't get the other party's approval.

Because technologies in the present are quite advance, those that deploy despicable actions were punished by being banned for two days with a warning and scorned by net users all over the internet! Even if most of the victims female, there are quite the amount of people with fetishes in the world. It's only natural that both male and female were protected by this LAW in Second Reality.

One other aspect that needs to be included was that the countries didn't want Second Reality to die fast like every other MMORPG. They did two things. They added tons and tons of contents to the game, and they had made it so that there is no level restriction!

Last week, all the countries officially announced the independence of Second Reality. They launched the servers that ran Second Reality into orbit on another planet. With the advancement of technology through the years, the old fogies found a way to connect the Second Reality network to their residing planet while disregarding distance. The servers were not alone, and it is guarded by a developed A.I. that only had the goal of running and protecting the Second Reality servers.

The Second Reality servers are something that's expected to last for eons. It's self-sufficient and highly classified. They had only let the masses know, "Everything in this game is fair with no one controlling it except for an A.I.!".

The servers were isolated because all the countries were scared that the people who become the owner of Second Reality will exploit their powers. Unless there was a supernatural occurrence, Second Reality would be fair and free for everyone.
