Lightning Sage

(A/N: this is my first time writing a fight scene please give me your opinion and where you think I could do better)

A week later, Raiden was standing opposite of Itachi in a training ground while looking at each other.

They wordlessly started to run toward each other until they collided with their arms then started a taijutsu fight.

Itachi threw a left hook toward Raiden's face which he blocked by raising his arm he then tried to punch him in the stomach using his right arm, but he cancelled the attack to deal with Itachi rising knee, he put both arms to block the knee then skidded back two meters and took out a few shurikens which he threw towards Itachi who took out a kunai to counter what he couldn't dodge.

Raiden jumped back even more and started doing hand seals then said: "Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu" A huge ball of fire was blown out of his mouth heading towards Itachi who was busy deflecting the shurikens.

Itachi looked up and saw the fireball. When the fireball covered him from Raiden he used the substitution technique to get behind Raiden who wasn't able to sense him.

Raiden activated his one-tomoe Sharingan to see what happened to the fireball, but only saw a log.' Oh shit!' He thought to himself before turning around to find Itachi almost on him with a kunai in his hand. He took out his own kunai and deflected his attack using the Sharingan.

Itachi was surprised at seeing the Sharingan in Raiden's eyes and retreated a bit before doing hand seals which Raiden knew were for the great fireball technique.

Raiden went back and did the hand seals for the Lightning Release: Thunderbolt technique. Itachi released a fireball even bigger than Raiden's and Raiden's hand started glowing violet before releasing a concentrated lightning bolt about 50cm thick.

Both Jutsu collided to form an explosion from the heat that made a crater and blew both of them back a couple of meters.

"Huff, huff why don't we consider this a tie?" Said Raideb panting a bit after his first spar against someone his age.

"Sure" said Itachi smiling for the first time since Raiden knew him.

"You really are the prodigy of the Uchiha clan even though we both mastered the fireball technique yours was much larger and hotter." Said Raiden while they went over their battle.

"That last lightning technique was also very strong. Your only flaw is you need more experience in taijutsu."

"Maybe we can help him out, Itachi." said an unknown person looking to be 9 or 10.

Raiden looked towards him and upon hearing him address Itachi so nonchalantly he realised he must be his friend.

"Raiden this is Uchiha Shisui, my friend. I usually train with him. Shisui this Hitoshi Raiden, my cousin."

Raiden nodded and responded "Nice to meet you Shisui-san." he noticed his headband at his forehead protector.

"So you've awakened you Sharingan this early. If you want I can show you a few tricks on how to use it." Said Shisui while smiling.

At Shisui's note, Itachi also remembered that Raiden already awakened his Sharingan and looked towards his eyes. it looked like he became more interested in him.

"Sure, although my mom is teaching me how to use it. I'm still struggling with the Genjutsu part a bit."

"Well you're in luck I precisely specialise in Genjutsu."

"Ok then how about we meet here again tomorrow and I'll train my taijutsu and Genjutsu with you."

"Ok, see you later."

With that Raiden left the training ground while thinking about his future plans for training.

'Although I didn't lose out in taijutsu by much that was all thanks to my body, it's a good thing I didn't stop training even after mom said I can stop. Like Itachi said I need more experience in taijutsu. currently, I need more defensive techniques so I'll learn every technique I can for lightning and wind natures before switching to earth as it should be the best for defence, but it'll probably take a lot more time as I don't have it as an affinity.' Thought Raiden about his future in taijutsu and ninjutsu.

'I also need to learn the substitution technique that Itachi used with a technique that can help me boost my speed. I also need to take my chakra control training to the next level because it looks like cutting down on hand seals for Jutsu needs very fine chakra control.'

'And I'll also try to get help from Shisui-san in Genjutsu. If I am able to finish all of these in under 2 years, I'll graduate early and try to get to a higher rank so I can get B-Rank Jutsu.' Thought Raiden about his plans while walking towards his house.

Upon reaching the house he asked his mother about the substitution technique and the next level of exercise for chakra control along with every lightning and wind nature Jutsu he had access to.

She explained everything about the academy three and tree walking while giving him scrolls of C-Rank Jutsu for wind and lightning.

And with that, he began his training until he entered the academy 13 months later.
