Limitless Human

Chapter 129 - Ethan's Plan

Silence reigned the room as the information Ethan had just given them was too much for them to process without time.

Their enemy wasn't some monster or creature. It was a General. A leader of a nation. Someone that had more life experience than them all together.

The power behind him was bigger than them. Not to mention the uncertainties about facing him.

It was just a too much-complicated subject and matter to speak of.

Cait: How about we just give General Gen his son back?

Cait that was normally one of the quietest in the room, spoke out. As if a ripple in the water, all eyes fell on her. After all, she just spoke what was in everyone's minds.

No one spoke after her as their eyes were telling their sincerest thoughts. After all, that went through between their group and Gen Puchi it was impossible for the General not do anything to them even if they gave him his son back.

Ethan: I have a plan.

All of them were jolted awake at Ethan's words.

Turning to look they found him smiling a little as he waved his hand. The moment he did it, Vera, that was already accustomed, stood up and walked to his side retrieving a bundle of papers from his hand and distributing them across the room.

Looking at the paper in their hands given by Vera, their eyes bulged a little.

Mike: Are you serious about this?

Mike lifting his head, looked at Ethan trembling a little.

Although with the time they spent and the events they went through in the Tutorial and now in Black Earth, they were still young men and women.

Ethan's plan was something that would haunt them in the future.

In the case of success, the casualties would be massive.

The plan was simple.... water was an important resource that every living being needed to survive.

Compared with before, the apocalypse event caused the people to not have a lot of selection options in terms of such resource.

There was no way for them to obtain the previous clear and clean water.

Martha with her child on her arms couldn't help but tear up as she looked in distress at Hugh that was also feeling conflicted inside.

Hugh: Ethan..... can't you think of anything else..... what about the innocent people under them?

Ethan: No one is innocent the moment they are born.

Veronica: W-We can't do this! What about the children they have?

Ethan: How do you know they even have children?

Veronica: ...I...

Ethan: No cross that. Even if they have, they will all die.

Ethan's voice was as cold as a block of ice.

Ethan: Without the protection of others, the weak will perish.

His words served as a bucket of water refreshing their heads and minds from their thoughts.

He was right.

What could a baby or a child do in this apocalypse to survive without holding on the pants of someone stronger.

Their immune system was weaker. Their physical capabilities were also low making it difficult for them to protect themselves.

Ethan: Now that matter is settled.... there is another thing that I want to speak with you all.

Mike: What is it?

Everyone in the room was still affected by the previous conversation as no one reacted to Ethan's words except for Mike that was in a better condition compared with the rest.

Martha and Hugh no long stayed in the meeting room as they stood up and left with their baby, crying softly.

The two of them had become parents not too long ago, so their feelings were too complicated and mixed towards the plan of Ethan.

They weren't the only ones. Even Vera that usually supported Ethan in anything, was having a hard time to hold back her tears and sobs.

Just the thought of children and innocent people dying at their hands... was too much for any of them.

All of them not to long ago had normal lives. Although some of them had resolved their wills and killed monsters and, some of them, humans, it didn't mean that it didn't affect them.

What made them move forward was knowing that what they did was necessary to survive and live.

But now.... if they allowed Ethan to go ahead with his plan then the corpses of the victims would be sufficient to fill the land they were in.

Veronica gripping the paper in her hands with brutal strength causing the paper to wrinkle stood up and left as well.

Cait, Trist, Mila and Carlos immediately followed behind her.

Soon the only ones still staying inside the meeting room were Ethan, Mike, Vera, Jenna, Gloria, Rias, Josephina, Ana, Obito, Itachi and Shishui. Although, except for maybe Ethan, all of them were feeling uncomfortable being there.

Especially Obito, Itachi and Shisui that stood behind Ethan trying to hold their stomachs from throwing up. Compared with the rest of the group they fared better as their world was constantly fighting and in war, in fact, their previous village, Konoha, had just left a war not to long ago.

But they were by all parameters still children at this point.

Ethan: …. the Horse Beasts and Humans will be thrown out.

Scanning over the people still inside the meeting room, Ethan slowly opened his mouth.

Ethan: It will be like the Uchihas. The Horse Beast Tribe will settle in the East. The humans will be divided into two groups because of their large numbers.

Before any of them could react to his words, he spoke again calming down the hearts of Jenna and Gloria.
