Mike: What about the manpower needed for our own group?

Rias: Mike has a point. Neither of us has the time to do any of that.

A short smile appeared in Ethan's face as he narrowed his eyes at Mike.

Ethan: It's like I said before. We won't be a kingdom or empire.

Mike was a little surprised at the quickness of Ethan. The previous matter no longer concerned him in his mind.

Ethan: We need to start at some point. Why not now.

A deep pressure engulfed the whole room as the light dimmed.

Ethan: Let's start our path to gods.

3 hours later, everyone left the meeting room to their office or rooms.

Rias walking down the stairs to the floor where the offices were looked back finding only Ana following her.

Rias: Where is Josephina?

Ana: Ethan wanted her to stay behind for a bit to converse with her.

Rias: Fine.

As the two locked eyes, Rias puffed a short breath as she continued descending the stairs while thinking about everything that was discussed in the meeting room.

Rias: "Our group will be busy for the next days."

Stopping briefly and looking through a window in the staircase to the outside, Rias saw that the day was darkening indicating the nightfall.

Rias: "Gods?"

Meanwhile, in the meeting room, Ethan continued sitting on his chair while Josephina stood on his side without making a sound. Everyone had left at this moment, even the three Uchihas children, Obito, Itachi and Shisui, left.

The corners of his mouth lifted into a dark and wicked smile.

Without waiting for her to react, Ethan stepped out of the meeting room into his own room.

Capital of Lei Nation. Tsuta.

The current capital was completely different from one before.

A wall surrounded the capital protecting it from the monsters lingering outside in the thick and deep forests.

Since the apocalypse, the whole world suffered a mutation changing the earth, land, plants, lakes, rivers, seas...

A clear land without any vegetation was currently impossible to see. The mountains weren't spared either from it as well.

Inside the walls, the previous happy atmosphere no longer existed instead it was replaced by a heavy and depressing one.

Even with the army reacting swiftly in protecting and saving the citizens in the capital, the causalities numbers still easily reached the six digits. Many lost their loved ones and family at the beginning of the apocalypse.

Not to mention the current awful living situation. For one to get the right of a cup of dirty water and bread, one would have to work tirelessly.

The jobs available were various. The most common were working on the fields and going outside of the capital to explore the 'new' world. Crystals, mutation... multiple changes occurred with the apocalypse that needed to be observed.

There were also some that couldn't no longer take it or to support others that depended on them and resigned their prided and fate by becoming slaves to the ones in power. The nobles.

The nobles were the ones that maintained successfully their power during the apocalypse event or rose from it by either gathering a strong group under them or becoming themselves a strong force to be reckoned with.

One of them was General Gen.

General Gen was currently sitting on his desk on the most beautiful mansion of all capital. The whole army was under him and each force that lived in the capital would also become his with the strong suppression of the army.
