In a normal city a pair of male students were walking down a street while discussing about music when the ground started trembling without stopping sending them straight to the ground.

Looking around, in panic, they could see that the entire surroundings were experiencing a natural disaster, a Earthquake.

SCREECH

At the same time strange sounds came from the sky. Lifting their head in terror they found a wormhole high up in the sky while numerous of insect like creatures coming out rushing at them.

???(Student 1): What the hell is happening?

???(Student 2): I don't know. Could it be the end of everything.

BROOMMM

Suddenly right beside them a fissure appeared sending countless cars with people inside to their demise.

It was the APOCALYPSE!

The punishment dealt to the humanity for their actions. The Ragnarok.

On other side of the city.

A pair of flashes of light appeared there as a group of young men and women came out of the blinding light. All of them were wearing some kind of armor and weapon. They were Ethan and his group.

Ethan: You should know the what to do first. Let's separate in groups and search for resources. Be back here in three hours.

Group: AYE!

Ethan: Rias with me.

Hugh: Martha and Ana with me.

Mike: Veronica and Josephina with me.

Rushing off they started by searching for everything they could find. Either it be people, information or resources like food, water and items they could use.

Ethan walking with Rias looked around seeing everyone around them panicking running away north.

Ethan: There should be something there.

Rias: Let's go see what it is.

Ethan: Hmm..... we need to learn what we are facing.

Finishing their planing the both of them walked to opposite direction of the ocean of people. After a while they found numerous of strange creatures like insects hunting and eating humans. They were all of different species. Some were red, others purple, blue, black. Without even mentioning their bodies. There was one that pincers like a crab but it seemed like it was very slow in moving while there was one that had a shape of a frog with an armor covering every part of it's body.

Rias: What do you want to do?

Ethan: I will engage with them to see the difficulty of dealing with them.

Rias: Okay I will stay here ready for anything.

Ethan: Thank you.

Saying this Ethan summoned a steel sword from his Dimensional Pouch rushing at the strange creatures.

Of course the people running away noticed his actions before scoffing in contempt and continue running away without sparing another look behind.

Puff

Bump

As the insects were distracted while eating they failed to realized that Ethan was already next to them as he swinged the sword in his hand cutting off a head of a insect off.

The sounds didn't escape a few of the humans as they turned around stunned in their places.

Ethan: Rias!

Rias: On it!

Ethan swinging his sword to the side shaking off the blood and gore of the insect went to the next one while calling out to Rias. Who immediately dashed to the corpse of the insect carefully using her own sword to scavenge the brain and heart of insect.

Ethan had shared information he had from reading novels, books and of games with them. Normally the most important rewards of this kind of monsters were in their brain or heart.

After a while she had a white crystal in her hand.

Rias: There is something!

Ethan: Good. Do the same thing to the rest!

Rias: Okay!

Lifting her head, Rias found that there was corpses of insects around her. In the distance she could see Ethan walking between the insects killing them easily like a fish in water. After the first kill, the rest of insects had noticed Ethan existence as they rushed at him.

But how to say it.

Ethan: "They are extremely weak."

For Ethan the insects were moving at slow speed allowing him to dodge their attacks easily while cutting them down. Even the ones with armor couldn't last one single hit of him.

The humans that were previously running away completely stopped as they looked at this scene of Ethan slaughtering the insects like they were doing to the humans. Some of the weaker minded from girls to boys started admiring Ethan so much as they thought of him as a god descending to Earth protecting them from the the apocalypse.

???: Don't just stay there. FIGHT! AH!!!!

Some of the more brave ones grabbed objects of the ground like metal or wooden objects before rushing at the rest of insects screaming at the same time.

With the help of the humans, Ethan finished every insect rapidly as he helped Rias in collecting the crystals from the insects putting them into his Dimensional Pouch to guard them. They didn't had the time to do find what it was as they had to continue on their search.

???: Please wait!

As they were leaving, one of the first to clash with the insects called out to them.

Ethan: What do you want?

Ethan only look at the man from the corner of his eye.

???: Could you please stay with us and show us the way?

Ethan: HAHAHA.... why should I? All of you and I don't have any relation for me to help you and I won't get any benefit while doing it. You are just a bunch of cowards that at the first sight of danger would run for your lives.

???: What did you say!?!?!?

???: Yeah!!! We are fellow humans!!!

???: Yeah!!! We should help each other!!!

Ethan: Hmph... next time let's wait for them to die to avoid having insects yelling at my ears.

Ethan voice wasn't loud and was intended to Rias, but everyone in the area heard him as all of them felt chills running down their back. Ethan image in their hearts fell from being a saviour and god to being a Demon the ruin of humans.

???: Y-you are the cause of all this!!!

???: You monster!!!

Ethan: Whatever. Let's go Rias.

Rias: Yes.
