After a while they arrived at the chosen location where the rest of the group were already waiting for them.

Veronica: Good god. What took you guys so long?

Ethan: We found a little bit of problems along the way.

Hugh: Oh, the monsters like insects.

Mike: Of course, but Ethan did you notice them?

Ethan: Yes. The animals in this world are as suffering a mutation because of this apocalypse.

Hugh: So what is our next course of action?

Mike: Settlement.

Ethan: Right. We need to find a place to live and grow.

Veronica: Where should it be then?

Mike: It depends. That is the reason why we went to explore today.

Ethan: To get a better understanding of this world.

Martha: But we didn't found anything related to living places except for the buildings already built. In that case we just have choose which one.

Mike: No.

Hugh: Mike is right. It isn't just about choosing without thinking. It needs to be the perfect place.

Veronica: Well then what should we do!?

Ethan: Hey, calm down. Stressing things over won't help us solve this situation.

Veronica: No! F.u.c.k you Ethan! I am tired of this shit! Stop speaking in mystery and just tell us your shitty intel!

Suddenly when Veronica finished speaking the temperature dropped causing their breath to be seen in fog.

Ethan: I think it's time for us to decide something.

Rias: Ethan. She...

Rias noticing something couldn't help trying to call out to Ethan only to receive a cold gaze from him sending her the shivers. Making her immediately lower her look with fear in her eyes while biting her lip.

Even Hugh and Mike were having trouble breathing with the pressure coming from Ethan. The worst was Veronica as she was kneeling on the ground with blood coming out of the corner of her mouth.

Ethan: Now let's start. It's a simple decision. It seems that there is a need to exile someone. Me or Veronica?

Saying this Ethan removed the pressure on them.

Ethan: I won't hold hatred or anger to anyone that votes against me or give benefits to the ones that vote for me also. We can also separate ways were a part of the group which votes for me comes with me and the rest goes with Veronica.

Martha: Ethan maybe we-------

Hugh: Don't.

As Martha was about to speak, Hugh immediately stepped forward blocking her.

Martha: But if we don't do anything...

Hugh: Ethan must have his reasons. I vote for Ethan. I want to stay in your side.

Ethan: Humm. I thank you Hugh for your trust.

Ethan nodding his head turned his gaze at the rest of the people there before finally landing on Rias and Veronica which were together.

Ethan: So? What is your decision?

Martha: I-I choose Ethan.

Josephina: Me too.

Ana: Yes.

Martha, Josephina and Ana sparing a final look at Veronica lowered their heads speaking out their decision while walking to the side of Ethan where Hugh already was looking down at the rest.

Ethan had moved out of Rias side when he was speaking leaving her alone with Veronica and Mike.

Veronica seeing most of the group taking Ethan side began panicking. She was certain that Ethan won't ask or make her give her stuff to him even the things he had bought with his points or even killing her.

Although she could survive alone with the things she had obtained till now, but she also knew that being in Ethan group, at his side, would raise her survival rate together with the benefits.

Veronica: Ethan..... I am.....s-s....

Mike: Ethan is there any other way to solve this?

Hearing Mike speak up both Rias and Veronica eyes regained their light as they now turned their expectants gazes at Ethan.

It was completely different from Mike speaking up to the two of them. Mike was well known to be Ethan best friend. Hugh also was part of their little group back then, but it could not compare with the closeness Ethan and Mike had together which was the reason behind Mike going with him back then charging into the danger without flinching or frowning.

Ethan: What do you propose?

Ethan voice that was previously cold seemed to have a little bit of warmth while speaking with Mike. Noticing this with his question the light on Rias eyes looked like stars.

Mike: Easy. A deal. Veronica continues staying in the group without this decision stuff while she no longer has the right to speak up against you.

Ethan: HAHAHA.....Mike I thought better of you. Right now in this kind of situation where do you see it benefiting me? You want me to keep a person with the potential of a traitor while just getting to stop hearing her talking back to me?

Mike: No. It was the original deal. It can be made changes. What do you want?

Ethan: "You bitch. Sigh..... you are really something. He basically took a step back to make fall in a trap." Okay I won't mind my manners then.

Mike: "This isn't going to be good."

Ethan: I only have one. In the case Veronica talks back to me ever again then she shall be turned into my slave by contract that binds her soul otherwise in the situation where she escaped and can't be found her entire known family and loved ones will be tortured until executed.

A chill ran down everyone spine even Hugh looked at Ethan with stunned eyes. He couldn't believe it. Was this the Ethan he knew?

Veronica was the worse one as she felt that Ethan was no longer a human like her but a demon in disguise. In fact every time that she looked at his eyes would cause her to lower her gaze while fear consume her entire body.

Ethan: Or.....

Rias that had her light in the eyes die down regained a little bit of it when she heard Ethan. Lifting her dead eyes at Ethan.

Mike hadn't avoid staring or moved from his place since the beginning.

Ethan: …..Mike you give up on your morals and finally kill humans that were so adamant to refuse on doing.

This time the only one shocked was Mike who widened his eyes looking at Ethan and his smile.
