Veronica: Wait. That 'Day and Night' ability...

Martha: Was because of it that you could do to that earlier?

Thinking back to yesterday when they had to make the decision between Ethan and Veronica, they couldn't help but connect the strings.

Ethan: Yes. Although the Night Charms protect you against the Day part it let's you weak to the Night part. Of course you can remove the Night Charm entirely but then don't blame me for any event that may occur.

Mike: So you change your class?

Ethan: Yes.

Mike: I guess you have objectives.

Ethan: You should know why.

Mike: I am glad about you.

Suddenly the air turned awkward as Mike and Ethan had tears in the corners of their eyes while looking at each other.

Martha: What is going on?

Hugh: Don't know.

Martha seeing this scene pulled Hugh arm to know some more, but the answer she got was a disappointment.

Hugh: That must be something they talked with each other.

Ethan: Continuing... the crystals Rank 1 we need to consume are unknown. At the same time I don't think that we should forget that each of them are different.

Mike: You are thinking of making an experiment with Vera right?

Ethan: Yes. It won't be anything much as I will just give her the crystals to determine the amount of crystals needed for each increase in Rank.

Mike: Sigh... information really is a powerful weapon.

Reaching out of his pocket, Ethan took out a bundle of papers.

Ethan: Pass this among yourselves like the Monster Guidebook. It contains all the information I have about the crystals. The ones that won't be doing anything I recommend for you to rest. The journey will be long.

Saying this Ethan inclined while closing his eyes.

Ethan: Oh, Josephina you and I will be the next ones to switch with Vera and Rias. In case of a third it will be Mike and Veronica.

Josephina: Yes.

Veronica/Mike: Okay.

Finishing speaking the breath of Ethan slowed down as he relaxed while keeping his senses activated for any situation.

Around four hours Ethan and Josephina replaced Vera and Rias.

Then it was Mike and Veronica time. There was no major problem during the trip. They found some humans and insects along the way but never stopped for a single moment.

After a while they got out of the city.

Mike: ENEMY!!!

Hearing Mike voice everyone at the back got up rushing out of the truck.

Ethan and the rest of the group found that they were surrounded by wolfs.

Ethan: Hugh!

Hugh: On it.

Hugh immediately used his Werewolf Transformation rushing at the surrounding wolfs. During that time Mike and Veronica stepped out of the Heavy Truck. Veronica lifting her hands, holding onto a wooden staff pointed to one of the closest wolfs firing a Fire Ball at him while Mike rushed at the wolfs brandishing his sword.

On Ethan side, Vera stayed inside the truck as she couldn't provide any help. Rias and Martha with the same kind of staff like Veronica were at Vera side. Josephina and Ana were struggling for a bit until they felt a dangerous feeling in their back making them pounced at the wolfs without any regard for their life.

Ethan only looked at the scene around him before he closed his eyes drawing his sword standing in front of the three girls still inside the truck for their safety.

Ethan: "Hmmm..... in every wolf pack there is a leader. Especially in these kind of situation there should be a kind of special wolf commanding them. But why? We don't possess much food unless it is because of ours ranks being high threatening it." Rias. Martha. Stay alert. In case of emergency call out for Hugh or Mike.

Both girls couldn't answer him as Ethan rushed through the wolf surrounding them like a hurricane cutting everything apart without battling an eye. At that time Veronica was walking slowly towards their direction to stay together with Rias and Martha that way the others just had to protect one location.

Ethan: "He should retreat after a while observing our strength. Hmph.....as if I would let you come and go like that."

Scoffing a little, Ethan activated the Night part of his Day and Night ability causing the nearby wolfs to stop in their advance strucken with fear. The Day part of the Day and Night ability allowed him to possess a overwhelming charm causing people and beasts around him to feel good about him while the Night part was the exact opposite, raising the fear of everyone around him.

Ethan, Hugh and Mike were like wolfs in a flock of sheep as they slaughtered all of the wolfs around them. Josephina and Ana were the only ones that also managed to kill the wolfs albeit at a slower pace compare with the three of them.

For starters, the sight of blood terrified them a little without mentioning killing the wolfs making it so that the strength and will they put behind each strike was low. Never the less with their high rank of 2 caused them to dodge and survive till now without any major or great injury.

Martha didn't do anything as both Ethan and Mike told her to just use her spells in case of emergency otherwise to not use at all. After all they didn't possess infinite energy/mana to cast their spells without stopping.

Veronica had to stop after firing a couple of Fire Balls and the ones she fired didn't kill any of the wolfs. The speed of the Fire Balls were fast but the wolfs main attribute were their speed and agility together with their animalistic senses caused them to barely dodge the Fire Balls from killing them. Although they didn't escape unhurt as the explosions of the Fire Balls would send them flying away with injuries through theirs bodies.

Rias was the better one with her spells. Using the Basic Hypnosis allowed her to take control of one Wolf causing it to attack the others around but after the first attack of the controlled wolf, the surrounding wolfs would pounce at it killing it.
