Never the less they, almost, were in never danger with Hugh and Mike clearing the wolfs rapidly.

HOWL

Suddenly a terrifying howl came from the distance. Vera the weakest among them couldn't help but grab her head in pain.

There was only one thought one everyone mind. Ethan.

Mike: Hugh! Go!

Hugh: Okay.

Hugh didn't refuse as he sweep the wolfs around him before rushing where the howl came from.

Back to Ethan.

He was currently standing in front of a huge grey wolf beside it were two red wolfs, 10 light grey ones and finally a golden one.

Ethan: "This is going to be tough. I hope that they got the signal."

As Ethan was seemed to be distracted, one of the light grey wolfs rushed at him from the side.

As Ethan didn't lower his senses he found the wolf rush, as he bent a little his legs pushing of the ground swinging his sword. The light grey wolf only saw a blur before falling to the ground as blood flowed out of his right front leg.

Before Ethan had any opportunity to breath another three light grey wolfs pounced at him while one of the red ones appeared in front of him.

Ethan: Shit!

Ignoring the light grey wolfs, Ethan jumped back to the wolf hurt on the ground hiding behind it.

At the same time he did the red wolf opened it's mouth letting out a torrent of flames firing at him. Fortunately even the light grey wolfs that were the smaller ones in the area were three times bigger than him making it the perfect shield for the red wolf flame attack.

Ethan: "So fire."

Feeling the rise of temperature of his surroundings Ethan lowered his head while keeping watch for any movements from the other wolfs.

Ethan: "If things progress like this I will pin down letting that bastard get away."

Ethan realizing jumped out of his cover running at the wolfs while keeping the torrent of flames from hitting him by sliding or jumping.

At that time the three light grey wolfs rushed at him not caring one bit about the flames the red wolf was expelling.

Ethan: Damn! "Their loyalty is something else."

Seeing this scene, Ethan accelerated to the incoming light grey wolfs using their big bodies to block the torrent of flames.

Howl

The huge, grey wolf immediately howled causing the red wolf from continuing his flame attacks. They were only damaging themselves without causing any damage to theirs enemy.

As Ethan was at Rank 3 his speed and strength were higher than every wolf in the area except for maybe the wolf leader, making it so that when he met the light grey wolfs he swinged his sword cutting them down.

Just as he was about to cut down the last one of them he saw that the golden wolf appeared in front of him with the red ones at his side opening their mouths as flames could be seen in the corners of the mouths.

Ethan:Shit!

Noticing this Ethan immediately handle the light grey wolf in front of him to perform a block to a block. The thing was that he had just one of this bodies and the red wolfs were going to fire the next second.

Suddenly a shadow came out of the forest crashing onto the red wolf at the left. Ethan didn't even saw who it was as he immediately placed the light grey wolf to the right blocking the flame attack while preparing himself for the golden wolf rushing at him.

Swinging his sword Ethan hit the golden wolf with his sword. It didn't even managed to scrap it's fur as the golden wolf continue it's attack at Ethan.

Ethan reacting swiftly placed the sword in front of him blocking the attack while sending him flying away.

Rotating his body in middle the air he landed on the ground with his feet staring at the golden wolf in surprise.

At that time another flame attack came at him. Jumping to the side Ethan dodge the attack while rushing at the golden wolf again. The golden wolf didn't even put him in his eyes as it dashed at him without any hesitation.

Ethan: Hmph. Don't be c.o.c.ky!

Gripping his sword with both hands, Ethan rotated his whole body swinging the sword in his hand striking on the hard fur of the golden wolf. This time the sword penetrated to it's tip until it stopped as even the flesh of the beast was tough.

The golden wolf in fury lifted his head to bit down on Ethan body that was in middle air.

Ethan: HAH!

Seeing this Ethan rapidly kicked the golden wolf in the head jumping away leaving a trace of blood painting the scene. At that time the red wolf appeared firing another torrent of flames at Ethan causing to move again.

Ethan: "This situation can't go on. The f.u.c.k.i.n.g grey wolf hasn't even moved. I need to deal with the red wolf and leave this shitty tough golden to the last."

Finishing his thoughts, Ethan changed his pathway to rush at the red wolf while continuing running slightly to the side and attentive because of the flame attacks of it. The golden wolf seeing this started dashing at him.

Just as the golden wolf was going to clash with Ethan, he slide dodging the attack before regaining his balance. The moment he was going to jump at the red wolf the same shadow appeared again crashing against the red wolf sending it flying away. This time Ethan had a better look recognizing who it was.

Ethan: Okay. "That is one less problem."

Turning around Ethan faced the golden wolf. Doing so he scanned his surroundings finding that the leader wolf had ran away.

Ethan: "I guess he must have felt Hugh and the rest coming or he is after them. If that is the case..... I need to hurry up." Pufff

Breathing heavily, Ethan narrowed his eyes as the surrounding temperature seemed to drop rapidly. A trace of fear could be seen on the golden wolf eyes. It was for the first time to have felt this way since the happening of the apocalypse.

Ethan: Now....then.... let's have some fun.
