Chapter 18 - 18: The Boredom Then Drama

Soon 10:35 am came and Lisa left economics class to her form class. On Monday, Thursday and Friday during interval there is form time where students head to their form class.

For the first week of school the times are different, but once it was the second week everything got back to normal. So normally school starts at 8:35 am. With 25 minutes on Tuesday for assembly and 25 minutes on the other days (excluding Wednesday) for form time where the teacher checks up on students, sometimes there is activities, sometimes news is announced, etc...

Lisa greeted Mr Wentworth and went to her seat, then started to talk to Brian. Once all the students were there form time started.

[AN: For those who forgot Mr Wentworth is their form teacher. Lol I haven't mentioned him much so even I forgot his name]

"Now with this new school year class representatives will be chosen for the Student Council. The way it will work is from now and the form time on Friday students who wish to be the class representative will work on appealing to their classmates in a respectable way. You will also use this time to create a speech to say on this Friday's form time which has to be between 1 minute and 2 minutes long. Once all of the speeches have been said there will be a vote and whoever gets the most votes gets elected. Now for those who are not completely sure about what a class representative is or does here well each form class has a representative. They are a leader for their classmates and help me with my job as your form teacher along with listening to ideas on how to make the school better. On every Monday instead of going to form time you will instead go to a meeting where everyone in the student council discusses everything. For more information an email should have been sent out to everyone, and if you wish to get a main position in the student council or run for student council president in year 13 you will have to become a class representative in either year 11 or 12. Besides that there has also been another message sent out for everyone due to the event that happened on Saturday. That is to not discriminate against others. Recently at Philip's party", hissed Mr Wentworth. "Some things involving some of our students happened. So the school has sent out another reminder to not discriminate. It's no longer like the past where it is taken lightly so could you all please behave and not force me to retire early? For goodness sake at least make sure it is not in front of outsiders as well. Anyway there will be severe repercussions for those who disobey. If it comes to an extreme you will be expelled, no matter how high of a status you have", said Mr Wentworth while looking at Claire. "That is all for now".

Mr Wentworth then went back to his desk before a student asked, "Mr Wentworth, aren't we supposed to be doing something else now?"

"My tradition here is only saying the things needed to be said during form time. Even if there is still 23 minutes of form time left I don't care. Consider it as a longer interval, just don't leave the classroom until 11 am", answered Mr Wentworth.

"He has given up hasn't he", said Liam.

"Not complaining here", said Philip as he started to eat.

"Hey Philip will you be trying for class representative? Because if you are we have no chance and might as well give up", said Thalia.

"Nah I'll run for it in year 12. Are you going to try Thalia?" Questioned Philip.

"Well I am too busy for that duty so no. How about everyone else?" Asked Thalia.

"Can't be bothered", replied Thompson.

"Maybe I might", said Liam.

"Being class representative seems boring", said Mary.

"I don't care about it", said Edward.

"I don't like roles like those", said Brian.

"Same here", replied Terry.

"Well I am definitely going to go for it as I wish to help students make their school lives better!" Said Claire.

"You know what I am going to run for it too. What about you Lisa?" Asked Thompson.

"Okay then. Might as well since it is better than just lazing around when there is nothing to do. Plus at the same time I will be able to help out in making the environment better for everyone here, even the teachers as everyone here deserves to work happily", smiled Lisa.

"Yes you go girl!" Shouted Thalia while punching the air, grateful that lazy Thompson isn't their only choice.

"You know what I can not be bothered to do the duties as class representative so I'm dropping out", said Thompson.

"Well it seems it's between you and me Lisa", said Claire.

"Indeed it is", smiled Lisa innocently.

"Well it is going to be obvious who wins", muttered Mr Wentworth while listening to the class's conversation.

Meanwhile in the normal classes with there normally being around 25 students in each class the battle was fierce. Especially with those who wanted to get closer to the special classes.

Lisa thought about how being a student representative would be like and thought, 'well it adds more to the name so might as well'.

The rest of the day went on and Lisa forgot all about what happened with Mr Hobson. Lisa had restarted her violin practice, and she made her way to them once school ended for her lesson at 5 pm. She had to practice harder since she remembered that she had provoked Edward when it came to who had the best violin skills. She was also planning on seeing if she could get more time with her tutor so she can get closer to her goal of being first place so she planned on asking her tutor about it when she has her lesson with her after violin practice. She was incredibly determined to be at the top.

She had also recently been stockpiling chapters. She rarely did it, but decided that since with her schedule getting more busy she might as well just in case she can't write.

Before heading to her lesson with her tutor at 7:30 pm Lisa had a quick dinner, and she made her way to the library where she read while waiting for her tutor to arrive. Her tutor is a university student who started tutoring for experience and earn some extra cash since she was studying to become a teacher.

The tutor arrived and waved hello to Lisa who put her book down. "Good evening Miss Bell", smiled Lisa.

"Ah Lisa it has been a while hasn't it. It seems you studied very well as you got 9th place on the intellect leader board, congratulations", said a woman with bright red hair and emerald green eyes.

"Thank you, however I am going to aim higher and become first place so, do you mind if we have these lessons twice every week?"

"Well lucky for you I had quit my other part time job a month ago so I don't mind giving you lessons. What time do you suggest we do them?"

"How about from 1 pm to 3 pm on Wednesday, are you available then?"

"I can't do 1 o'clock, but I can do 2 pm to 4 pm".

"Perfect then".

"Don't forget my pay".

"Yeah yeah I know".

"Anyway let's get this lesson started".

Time flowed by as the sky continued to darken. Once it was 9:30 pm Lisa said goodbye to Miss Bell and called her usual taxi driver for late nights. She reached her apartment, did the usual then went to sleep.

Lisa arrived at school and boredom took over her. She wasn't in the mood for reading, she had a writers block and for some reason the only people at school were the a.d.u.l.ts who she couldn't be bothered to talk to. With things going back to normal she was once again bored. She cursed her tradition and decided to walk around the school.

Then she heard some voices and saw two students. 'Finally, people!' Thought Lisa as she walked over to them.

"Good morning, how are you two", smiled Lisa.

"Omg! I can't believe someone from 11ISC is talking to me!" Squealed a girl.

"Ellie calm down, how embarrassing. Sorry about that. I am Stella Ross, ranked 57th on the intellect leader board".

"Oh I'm Ellie Moore, ranked 63rd on the intellect leader board. We're both year 11s by the way".

"And I am Lisa Tael, ranked 9th on the intellect leader board", smiled Lisa.

"Whoa why is someone like you talking to us?" Asked Ellie.

"Just because I am ranked higher does not mean I am better than everyone else", answered Lisa.

"But you are", replied Stella.

"Well when you ignore leader board rankings it doesn't mean I am better than everyone. Plus even if I am from a special class doesn't mean we can't interact with each other. When making friends we shouldn't focus on status or looks but instead their personality", said Lisa.

Ellie smiled brightly and Stella sighed. "Well how is Wellington Rosalyn College for you right now?"

"It is quite nice. How about you?" Asked Lisa.

"Well-".

"It's awesome!" Shouted Ellie; interrupting Stella.

"What is it about this school that makes you happy?" Questioned Lisa.

"Many things however-".

"It is the boys. This girl loves the boys here", sighed Stella.

"Oh come one. Many of them are boyfriend material. Wait aren't you friends with Max Baxter and Jay Brown! Can you please introduce us Lisa!" Shouted Ellie.

"I'll see if I can", said Lisa.

"Seriously Ellie, why are you like this", said Stella wryly.

"Lisa Tael there you are", said an approaching figure.

"Brodie Hobson!" Shouted Ellie.

"Be quiet you idiot. Sorry for her impoliteness Mr Hobson", apologised Stella.

"It is alright. Anyway Lisa I need you to run some errands so do you mind helping me out. Class representatives haven't been elected yet so you're free right?" Smiled Brodie.

"Hey Ellie do you want to help Mr Hobson out with some errands?" Asked Lisa.

"Of course! I can help sir if you want. After all you should give special class students breaks once in a while!" Said Ellie.

"Well are you sure?" Asked Mr Hobson.

"Indeed! Stella can help out too- wait where is Stella?" Asked Ellie when she realised Stella was no longer there.

"She left something in her form room so she left to go get it", answered Lisa.

"Oh... Well oh well", said Ellie.

"Well then goodbye Ellie and Mr Hobson", smiled Lisa as she quickly walked away.

Lisa smiled at her success of escape and texted her friends.

They were in the 11ASC form classroom so Lisa made her way to the elevator when she heard some harsh words so she got her phone out and started to record.

"Stella Ross. Are you too much of an idiot that you can't contain that friend of yours", hissed one of Katerina's followers.

"Always fawning over every single boy when she is only the daughter of a small company. Isn't it your job to make sure that little girl doesn't step too far. Did you forget we can easily ruin you two with just a few words", said Katerina.

"I understand that I will promise to make sure she does not easily show her affection", said Stella quietly.

"What do you mean she won't show her affection easily? She shouldn't show her affection at all and just admire from afar like others like you", growled another one of Katerina's follower who then pulled on Stella's hair.

"Ow stop!" Shouted Stella who tried to get away but was cornered.

"It seems you haven't learnt your place", snarled Katerina as her followers continued to do the dirty work.

Lisa stopped filming and walked towards them then said, "what you are doing is incredibly disgusting".

"You. This is none of your business so leave", growled Katerina.

"But how could I leave an innocent girl to the hands of a witch", said Lisa as she showed an intimidating aura making her followers shrink back as Lisa brought Stella to her side.

"I am not here to fight with you, but to protect an innocent girl", said Lisa as she walked off with Stella.

"Are you alright Stella? Do you want me to bring you to the medical room?" Asked Lisa.

"I'm fine. If I go they'll come back to me again", said Stella.

"Don't worry about that. I can handle it. Plus what if they try to frame you in the future. You can use those medical records and me as a witness as evidence. Plus with that it will most likely give you more time to reveal that they are lying".

"Yes but still..."

"Stella please answer me truthfully. Why do you do so much to help Ellie?"

"I have my reasons".

"Fine don't answer then. However do remember that in the end you will have to make sacrifices to aim higher. You shouldn't let others hold you back even if you have been with them for years because in the end their actions should only affect them, and not their friends nor family. Stella meet me at the library at lunchtime, and don't bring Ellie".

Lisa left before Stella could say anything and sighed. There are times when she helps others not in a good and bad way. Especially with those she can relate to.

She had another childhood friend from primary school although in the end that friend ended up getting ahead of herself. Lisa could no longer clean up her messes as she didn't have the time to, and her friend's actions ended up hurting her grades as Lisa couldn't focus with all the whispers around her and with that person always coming bursting in, complaining about something. Whenever that person made a problem the teachers would always turn to Lisa for help.

So once Lisa left primary school she cut off all ties with her and went to a school she knew that person wouldn't like. Ever since that day Lisa had never saw her again.

Lisa doesn't know what happened to that person, but she hopes she never sees her again. Although she just had to meet Katerina who kept reminding Lisa of that person.

Mr Hobson watched from afar and sighed. "What kind of girl is she?"
