Chapter 23 - The Student Hierarchy

It was Saturday and Lisa and Edward decided to have the contract signed today. Lisa had already done her part, so now it was just time for Edward and and a guardian, who is going to be his brother, sign it.

Lisa, Charles and the Avington siblings sat in the lounge talking to each other.

The siblings had just signed the contract, so Steven left, and the Tael siblings decided to stay at Edward's home for some morning tea.

"Oh by the way Lisa I heard from your brother that you are wishing to create a partnership with Cute Kitty when the end of term 2 comes", said Daniel.

"Charles, you told them", growled Lisa.

"W-well I thought you might want to ask for help since Daniel knows a lot of people, and could help expose that Moore family's company", said Charles while giving all of his chocolates to his sister.

Lisa just sighed, and remembered Isabella Lee. Lisa wondered if she was going to meet her again.

"No need to get mad at your brother. If you need help just ask me", smiled Daniel.

Lisa turned her attention to Edward to see he wasn't shocked by the news he had just heard. Edward looked away and quietly said, "I may or may not have done some eavesdropping".

Lisa sighed again, and said, "well I'll gladly exploit you two then".

-In Lisa's apartment-

Lisa checked her social media accounts and couldn't help but wonder about what is going through these people's minds.

The other day Philip stole Lisa's phone and took a picture on it with Edward, then posted it on Lisa's account. Afterwards Brian commented something which started a shipping war.

In the end she decided to ditch her phone and walked to the park to bump into James and a girl who was clinging onto his arm. "Oh hey Lisa", smiled James.

"Oh so this is your study partner from the summer holidays. I am Lucy O'Brien, ranked 5th on the year 12 intellect leader board", said Lucy.

"I am Lisa Tael, ranked 9th on the year 11 intellect leader board", replied Lisa.

"Finally a scholarship student who is a girl that I can talk to. The one in year 13 is too busy for friendship. The other one in year 12 is a... Female dog and the other scholarship girls in year 11 are unapproachable. You're my only hope", said Lucy.

"Ah... I see".

Lisa wasn't exactly sure on what to think about James's girlfriend, but she knew that she was good. "Anyway what are you doing here in the park alone?" Asked James.

"Wanted to ditch the electronics", said Lisa wryly.

Lucy giggled and said, "You should be lucky. Two handsome guys are after you".

"That is nothing more than misunderstandings. We are all only friends", said Lisa.

"Totally..."

"Lucy are you saying those little boys are more handsome than me", pouted James.

"Of course not".

Lisa quickly walked away when the couple started flirting... To then bump into Brian. "Oh Brian, what are you doing here?" Asked Lisa.

"Just wanted to do some walking", smiled Brian.

"It's a nice day isn't it".

"It's even better with you here".

"When did you learn to say such words", smiled Lisa.

"From a certain someone with the name Lisa".

"Of course".

"Since we're together right now shall we get some lunch".

"Sure", said Lisa. 'Let's just ignore the conversations online for now', thought Lisa.

-Monday, Form Time-

Instead of heading to her form class, Lisa went to a meeting room where the members of the student council were. In the student council there was the main council, and then the representatives. The main council consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor and the Public Relations Officer. The rest of the student council members are the representatives from every form class in the school. Getting any position, whether it be part of the main council or not is good.

The Main Council Members, would have run for a certain position in year 12, and in term 4, and would begin their roles once they were year 13s, they also had to have once been a class representative in WRC (the abbreviation for Wellington Rosalyn College) in order to run. The Student Council President is voted for by all of the students in WRC while the other Main Council positions are voted for within the student council, so the representatives would ask their classmates for their opinion then vote. The first election is for the Student Council President, then afterwards there would be an election for the rest of the positions. The Main Council is where they make the decisions, while the representatives offer help.

However with the prefects and head students, things are a bit different.

If one wishes to become a head boy/girl, they had to have been a prefect in year 12. The way it works is that depending on their talents, their social skills, etc... A boy and a girl in year 12 will be chosen by school authorities to become a prefect who will work and train under the head boy and girl. Once the prefects have entered year 13 they will become a head and have the most power as students, while the Student Council President has the second most power. The other members of the main council have the third most power, and the prefects have the fourth most power. Most of the time the people occupying these spots are from Special Classes, very rarely does someone from a normal class get one of these positions.

Anyway after the prefects, with the age hierarchy, the Special Class representatives have the fifth most power and the rest of the representatives have the sixth most power.

While the Student Council works to help everyone and make a sweet and nice environment, the head boy and girl also makes a good environment, along with help create great projects, but when it comes to certain things they have to put their foot down and do things students might not like for their sake, the teacher's and the school's.

Anyway that is the ranking in positions you can get which is exclusive to Wellington Rosalyn College. It however excludes leader board rankings, fame, and money. This also excludes the leaders of committees like the Arts Committee, the Heritage Committee, etc... For that it depends on other factors.

1. Head boy & girl

2. Student Council President

3. The rest of the main council members

4. The Prefects

5. Year 13 Special Classes representatives, then year 12, then year 11

6. Year 13 normal classes representatives, then year 12, then year 11

[AN: Sorry if this is confusing]

Anyway Lisa took her seat which had the words 'Year 11 Intellect Special Class' on it. She was in the middle of the 11ASC and 11BSC class's representative who were, Jackson and Albert.

"Why am I not surprised you two are here", smiled Lisa.

"Because we're amazing", replied Jackson.

Albert chuckled, and said, "not surprised you are here too Lisa. I heard that this time only two people in 11ISC ran for class representative this half. The first half of 11ISC sure is... Interesting".

(Forgot to mention that the Special Class representatives will be replaced if they are no longer in the top ten for their leader board in the next half of the year. If the representative stays in the top ten, they will continue to be the class representative. That is also the same if a class representative from a normal class moves to a special class. They will be replaced as class representative in their old class).

Lisa then looked around the room to look for Stella who had took advantage of the things Lisa gave her, and became her class's representative. Last week Lisa had dropped a book on persuasion in the library near Stella who picked it up. Afterwards Lisa told Stella to take advantage of what happened with Katerina and reveal the half truth on her problems with Katerina.

People believed her especially when Lisa got her famous friends, aka Mary, Tiffany, Max, and Jackson to talk about a classmate who was pushing things too far. Sophie wanted to join in too with the revenge, but it would give away too much about her true identity, and she still wanted to stay anonymous so she just watched from the cold shadows.

Anyway Stella convinced Ellie not to run for class representative by saying Ellie wouldn't have the time to achieve her other dreams, and that aiming for the members of the Main Council would not be that good of an idea since they will leave next year, unlike the ones in year 11. Lisa supplied Stella with information on who was running for class representatives which made Ellie find out that only three of her crushes were running.

Stella also showed stories of how much work class representatives are given to Ellie too. In the end Stella won the fight and will still able to make Ellie think that Stella was still dedicated to her. Stella also said that she would use her powers as class representative to help Ellie with some things.

Lisa contained her grin as she saw Stella fit in well and gain more allies, including some very powerful ones.

Over the weekend Lisa had also discussed about the possible partnership between Ink & Paper Heritage and Cute Kitty with the executives of Ink & Paper Heritage. After a while they started swaying towards Lisa's idea, and said they will discuss more about it on a later date.

While that was happening Lisa also helped out with Stella's side in her company by helping get rid of some incredibly toxic people in their company by framing them. Ellie's family didn't suspect anything and thought that the people they had put in Cute Kitty was simply incompetent, so Ellie's family tried to get new toxic people in, but before they were able to do that Stella's family hired trustworthy people who were introduced by Lisa.

The new employees company that they once worked at was destroyed since their CEO offended a certain someone so Lisa's grandparents got mad. Lisa (oblivious to her grandparents doings) pitied the innocent employees so she helped out a bit and found some really good and hardworking employees. Those employees were grateful Lisa gave them new jobs so they didn't mind switching over to a new company which had a lot of potential. They are one of the few people who know of the plan.

When Lisa thought about all the work she had done in such a short time (with help but let's ignore that) she decided to not make dinner and invite Stella and her family out to dinner.

When Lisa texted her dad about it, he transferred some money to Lisa's EFTPOS card.

"Good morning Stella. Congratulations on becoming Class Representative", smiled Lisa.

"Congratulations to you too", replied Stella.

"Is your family free tonight?" Asked Lisa.

"Well they have some paperwork to do".

"They can push that onto the new employees I introduced to you. They don't mind getting extra work once in a while so why don't we all go out to dinner tonight? It will all be on me".

"Fufu. I will accept that invitation then. I can't reject you when you have such bright eyes".

Albert listened to the conversation with interest. He remembered Lisa telling him of her plans and asking for a little help on checking how Ellie's family was able to buy several expensive cars. When Albert did his own investigation into Cute Kitty, he also noticed the potential, so he said, "mind if I join you two then? I can get a reservation and a discount for the dinner".

"Well in that case join in", smiled Lisa who then looked at Stella and winked.

Stella was incredibly happy she had met Lisa. With her help Stella will be able to make Cute Kitty more stronger and powerful. Along with getting revenge.

Stella, Albert, Jackson and Lisa continued to talk with each other until the Student Council President, Lauren Clews and the rest of the Main Council members arrived. Everyone took their seats and the meeting soon began.

They started with introductions, a brief talk, some reminders, etc... In the end Lisa found it all boring. However when she found out that sometimes they get to skip class from time to time to do some extra help, Lisa smiled inside her mind at the thought of being able to skip maths class. Maths was one of the subjects she was ready to drop in year 12. Unless she was going to be a math teacher or something mathy in the future, she did not know why she needed to know the answers to advanced algebra.

At WRC in year 11, social studies, maths, english, P.E and science is compulsory. In year 12 only english and social studies is compulsory while in year 13 nothing is compulsory.

Once the meeting was finally over, she got the pin/badge thing for being a class representative to put on her blazer, along with her special class badge. The more badges the better so might as well keep on adding to improve her appearance, even if she doesn't care that much about getting them. When it came to things she liked she was ready to show the whole world her achievements, but besides that you've got to do what needs to be done in order for a great image.

Lisa and Jackson left together to meet their friend group, but before that Jackson brought Lisa to somewhere secluded and said, "Hey Lisa do you mind writing me a new song?"

"When will it be due?" Asked Lisa.

"In two weeks".

"Can I tell Edward?"

"Why?"

"So that way he doesn't get confused when I randomly start thinking of lyrics".

"It's your identity which is at risk, do whatever".

"Well okay then. Is there a theme you want me to follow?"

"Nah. I know you will do something that will fit the new album's theme. You were the one who came up with the concept".

"It's good to know that you haven't forgotten how much I've done for you".

"How could I. Also you have your first lesson with Edward tomorrow right?".

"Yes".

"Aren't you lucky. Getting tutored by Edward. I never thought though that you would tutor him though. Who knew that he can only follow instructions. He reminds me of your dad".

"My father can do his job well without instructions. He just needs help when it comes to coming up with new projects".

"Anyway let's go and find the others now. Don't forget to write a good song".

"I won't".

-6 pm, at one of Albert's family's restaurants-

"Thank you very much for inviting us out to dinner", smiled Adaline Ross, Stella's mother.

"You should thank Albert. Without him we probably wouldn't be dining in such a nice restaurant", smiled Lisa.

"Thank you very much then Albert Prezlin", said Samuel Ross, Stella's father.

Lisa then spotted a new person and said, "good evening. You must be Stella's elder brother, Lucas Ross".

"Indeed I am. It is a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you two", smiled Lucas while shaking Albert's, then Lisa's hand.

'Lucas resembles his mother a lot while Stella resembles her father', thought Lisa.

"Anyway shall we head in", smiled Albert.

"Of course", replied Samuel.

The group entered a private room, and Lisa was grateful to Albert that he was giving her a 90% discount. When Albert had told Edward about it, Edward was burning with jealousy and begged to pay for the whole meal. However Albert being the "incredibly kind" friend he was, said no and said that he would pay for it instead because he is the one attending, not Edward.
