Love Is So Sweet

Chapter 12 - Researching Lovey-Dovey scenes

Lisa who had regained her energy started looking around, watching the couples in the park. She then asked Jun, "so which ones are doing lovey-dovey things?"

"Basically everyone here that are paired up is doing lovey-dovey things, well aside from us. If you're looking for something more specific you better tell me."

"Then which ones do you think will go well with my novel?"

"Oh, if it's that then look at those two that might be a good lovey-dovey scene." Jun pointed at a couple sitting in a park bench. The two of them were sitting so close together and wearing matching outfits that other people might think they're just one huge person. The girl was leaning her head on the guy's shoulders and when Lisa looked even more closely she noticed that the two were sharing an earphone, and seem to be listening to some music.

She still couldn't understand how that was lovey-dovey but she started to write the scene she was witnessing into her notebook.

"Why is that a lovey-dovey scene?"

Jun expecting that question had already prepared an answer.

"The feeling of silently enjoying the company of your partner, as you slowly become more intimately close to each other, you lean on each other which gives each one comfort as they listen to their favorite music. The music they hear starts to blend into the background noise of the park, making them feel even closer than before. That's what makes it a lovey-dovey scene."

After writing down what Jun said, Lisa looked up to him and tilted her head. "You're actually pretty good at this... Have you ever thought about becoming a writer?"

"Not really... I'm sure if I try becoming a writer, it won't work out. Seeing as I'm a..." The last word that came out of Jun's mouth was inaudible as he slightly raised the side of his lip making him look like he was smiling yet not.

"I see..." Lisa didn't bother to continue that conversation and instead went straight back to her original topic. "What else would be considered a lovey-dovey scene?"

The two then started walking around the park and Jun noticed a few noteworthy scenes.

"Look at that Ms. Lisa." Jun pointed at a man gently c.a.r.e.s.sing a girl's face as the two of them stare at each other's eyes. The girl was stunned as the man's face slowly approaches her's. The two could now practically feel each other's breath as the man gently pecks the girl's lips and smiles. The girl who was expecting more was embarrassed but to hide her embarrassment she acted angry, though it was obvious even for the third party who was watching them that she was actually happy.

Lisa started writing down every detail of what she saw and she now felt like she had a basic understanding of what a lovey-dovey scene was.

"Is a lovey-dovey scene simply the act of a couple being physically intimate with each other?" Lisa asked Jun as she was done writing down her thoughts.

"Hmmm, I guess that answer is kind of right, but it also feels wrong somehow. I think most acts of physical intimacy between couples, is a lovey-dovey scene, but I don't think all physical intimacy between couples is a lovey-dovey scene, do you get my drift?"

Lisa simply stared at Jun for a few seconds, if this was a cartoon smoke would be coming out of her ears.

"I don't understand..."

"Never mind, I don't understand really get it that much either. You don't need to think about it so deeply," Jun awkwardly laughed.

...

The two who continued to look around the park spotted other scenes of people being lovey-dovey. Not all of them were worth noting down, but Lisa somehow looked like she was having fun as she observed them.

As the two continued walking Lisa spotted something weird. She was unsure what was happening but a couple was hiding behind some trees, she figured that they might be doing something lovey-dovey so she told Jun about it.

When Jun looked at the couple behind the trees, he facepalmed. 'What the f*ck are these perverts doing?! The hell they're doing it in broad daylight! Are you guys animals?!'

"Ms. Lisa let's move on, that's not a lovey-dovey scene you would want to put into your novel. I'm actually debating if you can even call that lovey-dovey."

Jun then urges Lisa to move on. Lisa who was being pushed by Jun reluctantly left the area. The two then finished going around the park and headed back to the place where they ate lunch.

"So, Ms. Lisa did you get what you need?"

"Yes, I think I can work with what I got." Lisa who was checking all the information she wrote was smiling ever so sweetly. Seeing her smile like that made Jun feel a bit weird.

'Seriously what's happening to me?'

"Well, I'm glad that was able to help you, Ms. Lisa. If there's anything else you need, don't hesitate to ask. I'll do the best I can to help."

After Jun said those words Lisa looked at him, her dark black eyes stared intently at Jun. She then spoke in a whisper. "I..." She was saying something but Jun couldn't hear it. He then came closer and asked, "what did you say, Ms. Lisa?"

"Never mind... I was just saying, thank you for your help." Lisa answered a bit louder than normal, as she looked in another direction her face blushing a bit. Jun found this act of hers to be quite adorable.
