Love Is So Sweet

Chapter 2 - Lisa Chu

When Lisa got back to her apartment, she headed straight to her bathroom and took a shower. She was a tiny bit distracted because of what happened in the hospital. It was an uncomfortable experience as she expected, but, it wasn't as uncomfortable as she thought it would be.

'He really was quite handsome, and he smelled pretty good as well.' Lisa once again was reminded of that encounter and started to blush. 'Wait what the hell am I thinking?!' She shook her head trying to forget that embarrassing scene.

Once she was done taking a shower and got dressed she checked her bag and saw that something was missing. After a thorough search, she was now sure that her notebook was gone. The notebook where she wrote her new story was gone. It took her two months to write the first arc of that story. Feeling a wave of anxiety, Lisa sat down and wanted to bang her head on the table.

If she doesn't pass anything this month, it was possible that she and her editor will be screamed at by the editor in chief. Remembering that time when the editor in chief was screaming in a loud voice was horrible. Even Karla her friend and editor got a bit mad at her. Lisa at this point didn't know what to do. She just couldn't suddenly create the first arc of a novel in a week. The only option she has left was, to be honest with her editor and hope she doesn't get too angry.

As if fate was playing with her, Lisa's cellphone started ringing and the one who was calling was none other than Karla.

Lisa kept on looking at her phone that was ringing. She couldn't decide what to do. She needed to pick up the phone but she was too scared to do so. The deadline for posting her new novel was nearing and she now had zero progress since she lost her notebook. If she told the truth Karla might not get too angry, but it was still a bit frightening.

While she was hesitating to pick up the phone the ringing finally stopped, only to immediately start ringing again. As the ringing continued the more anxious Lisa got.

"What should I do Mia, should I answer?!" Lisa looked at her yawning cat and asked. Out of her anxiety, she held her cat and started shaking her. Mia feeling disturbed by Lisa's shaking scratched her master's hand a little bit and escaped her grip.

Lisa who was scratched by Mia quickly washed the wounded area and disinfected it. She was swift to act since this wasn't the first time Mia had scratched her. The phone that was ringing finally stopped, and the moment it did so, Lisa felt a bit relieved. After a short while of being a little relieved, she received a message.

"Why aren't you answering your phone? Is everything alright?" Lisa decided to ignore this message. She then put her phone into silent mode and decided to go out and search for her notebook. Lisa tried to remember when she last saw her notebook. She then remembered that she took it out one time when she was in the hospital. With this new knowledge at hand, Lisa swiftly left her apartment and headed back to the hospital.

...

Jun was staying at the cafeteria of the hospital waiting for the lady who dropped her notebook to come back. Even after a few hours of waiting, the lady didn't return. Still, Jun kept on waiting for Lisa, as he kept himself busy by reading the contents of the notebook. He knew that it was an invasion of privacy, but he thought that it was alright to read it since the lady lost it and he found it. He should be allowed this much leeway for waiting for her to come back and return the notebook to her.

Jun was really quite shocked by the content of the notebook. It was well written and the plot was exciting, to say the least. Though the content of the notebook seems to only be the first arc of the novel, it was still a pretty good read. Even though he wasn't really into romance novels, he could appreciate this work. The only problem was the interactions between characters, it was a tad robotic. It was as if the writer had no idea how actual humans interacted. The dialogue was really bland, which made the story that had a great plot turn into something really boring to read.

'I wonder was she perhaps an aspiring writer? Her name really does sound familiar, but I'm not really a person that reads novels written by romance authors.'

...

Lisa had finally reached the hospital and hurriedly went to the cafeteria. The moment she reached the cafeteria she saw someone she didn't expect to see.
