Love Is So Sweet

After dressing up a bit Lisa looked at the mirror and saw how cutely she was dressed and felt pleased with herself. It was at that moment she had a thought, 'Wait... Why am I dressing up for a meeting with Jun? Also, why am I thinking it would be nice if Jun calls my outfit cute?... What's happening to me?...'

Lisa's face turned a bit red as she quickly changed her dress into a more casual attire. After trying various combinations, Lisa decided to go with a more normal look. A simple shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Once she was done getting dressed which took half an hour, Lisa left her apartment and headed towards the coffee shop she and Jun frequent.

As usual, the moment she got to the coffee shop, Jun was already waiting for her with a cup of coffee at hand. The moment she entered the shop, Jun stood up and smiled at her.

"You look really cute today." Jun suddenly complimented her and he did it so naturally, that it caught Lisa off guard. Lisa who was imagining such a scene while she was dressing up, was surprised and caught off guard. She never thought the event she imagined would actually happen in reality. So the only reaction she could muster was to start blushing a and meekly lowering her head while answering with a, "thank you."

This time it was Jun who was caught off guard, he thought that Lisa would respond with a question like "why am I cute today?" That was the response he was expecting, so seeing Lisa act all cutesy like what she's doing stunned him. He then felt an urge to hug her there and then, but stopped himself from doing so, while offering Lisa the seat in front of him.

Once she was seated properly Lisa breathed softly trying to calm herself. "So why did you want to meet?"

"Okay straight to the main topic then. Actually just a while ago, I had a talk with my father. We had a talk about our problem with Edrea. After negotiating, my father promised to help us get Edrea off our backs."

"Really?!... That's good to hear." Lisa sighed in relief.

"Don't celebrate yet, it was a negotiation so he has a condition..." Jun hesitated to tell what the condition was and stopped talking momentarily. Lisa noticing Jun's weird behavior asked, "what's the condition?"

"My father kinda asked me why I don't want Edrea to be my fiancée. So I told him that I don't like her in that kind of way, and then after a few back and forth I accidentally said you were my girlfriend. So he promised to help us if we can prove that we're a real couple."

"Huh?!" Lisa's eyes were about to pop out of her eye sockets with how shock she was, hearing what Jun said. Her face then turned crimson as her heart started beating faster and her mind was in total chaos.

'Wait! What?! Is this a confession?! Is this my very first confession?! Jun actually likes me! What, what is happening here?!' Lisa's mind was in a mess, and you could practically see her eyes rolling in confusion. If this was an anime steam would be coming out of her ears, and her eyes would have a hypnotic swirl.

While Lisa was spiraling, Jun was finally able to notice the misunderstanding happening right in front of him, so quickly set things straight.

"Of course we aren't really going to be a real couple, we just need to fake it for the duration of two months."

"Not a real couple?..." Hearing what Jun said Lisa was slowly coming back from her delusions. Jun then started to explain to Lisa the whole situation and his idea.

"So the two of us are going to be a fake couple, like in those T.V dramas I'm currently watching. We just need to fool the person assigned to observe us for the next two months. After that, he will report to your father, and then he'll help us with our Edrea problem, correct?" Lisa asked trying to confirm Jun's idea.

"Yeah, that's the gist of it. So what do you say?"

"I don't know Jun, this sounds pretty risky. What will happen if he finds out that we're lying?"

"Then that's it, game over, no matter what I say at that point, he'll force me to marry Edrea."

"Then we shouldn't do this. I'm not really good at acting a part, especially one that needs me to be a girlfriend."

"There's no backing out now Lisa. If I tell my father the truth, he will force me to marry Edrea. If I don't tell him the truth and finds out anyway, the same result will happen. But if I don't tell him the truth and we somehow trick him, then Edrea and father will never bother us again. Also, you don't need to bother acting, just act the same way you usually do. If you want you can even treat this as an experiment for your novel."

Jun was already expecting Lisa to hesitate, so he was prepared to use his secret weapon, Lisa's novel. He knew that if it had anything to do with her writing Lisa would always think it over.

"So what do you say, will you be my fake girlfriend?"

"Will there be kissing and any other such activities?"

"If you want to sure, but if you don't no need to force yourself." Jun was surprised by Lisa's question but he didn't show it in his face, as he answered nonchalantly. Lisa then went quiet for a few minutes before answering.

"Alright, I agree. From here on out the two of us are going to be a couple. Please take care of me." Lisa extended her hand for a handshake, and Jun reached for it but he didn't intend to shake Lisa's hand.

"It will be my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e." Jun gave the back of Lisa's hand a little smooch, which made Lisa who had a serious expression start blushing red like a tomato. Some girls who saw the scene were giggling in the background.
