Love Is So Sweet

Matthew led the group out of the coffee shop and into his car which was parked right outside the coffee shop. His car was a Jeep Gladiator, a pickup truck. Jeniffer found the combination of Matthew and pickup truck quite s.e.xy. 

"This is a nice pickup truck." Jeniffer touched the side of the pickup truck with her finger and then bit said finger in a seductive manner.

"Oh, you like it huh," Matthew smiled as he approached Jeniffer.

While Jeniffer and Matthew were flirting, Jun opened the door for the backseat and helped Lisa in. After Lisa went inside Jun followed after. 

"Hey, how about you two stop doing that, and let's go." Hearing Jun, Matthew coughed and then helped Jeniffer enter the pickup truck. Once everyone had buckled up the group left to wherever Matthew was taking them.

It took only half an hour to reach their destination even though it was quite a distance. The reason for the early arrival was because of Matthew's driving skills. The moment he stepped on the gas pedal they sped up without slowing down. 

Jeniffer found the whole thing exciting and fun, Lisa was indifferent about the situation, Jun on the hand, looked a bit pale as he sat quietly at the back. Once they were out of the pickup truck Matthew and Jeniffer started to talk about Matthew's driving, while Jun glared at Matthew for a second. 

"Are you alright Jun?" Lisa who was beside Jun asked. 

"Yeah, it's nothing." Jun, as usual, showed a bright smile, but his face was still a bit pale. Lisa was about to say something else, but then Matthew interrupted them. 

"So this is my favorite place, we can have a lot of fun here." Matthew gestured at the sign that says Sparta Paintball. Jun already guessed that this was coming so he had no reaction, but Lisa and Jeniffer were surprised. 

"I haven't tried to paintball before, I guess that would be fun." Jeniffer gave her opinion while looking at Lisa. 

"I guess I can try something new." 

"Alright, so how are we going to-" Matthew wasn't able to finish what he was going to say when Jun spoke.

"Lisa and I will be playing as a duo, you and Jeniffer seem to be getting along so you guys should be the other team," Jun spoke with his usual smile, but the intensity he was emitting actually made Matthew step back. 

It was at that moment Matthew realized what happened. He forgot that Jun has a bad issue with his driving and he always told him to slow down. It seems like he still hasn't forgotten about that one time back in college. Matthew made eye contact with Jun and apologized without saying anything. Jun, on the other hand, responded with a continued smile, but Matthew got the message. It seems like Jun's going to pulverize him in the paintball game. 

"Ladies, I just need to say something to Jun so if you'll excuse us." Matthew took Jun and went to a corner. 

"Hey Jun, come on man I didn't mean to do that. I just wanted to show Jeniffer a bit of my driving skills. You know me, man, I would never treat you this way normally. It's just that I haven't had a relationship in like five years. Can you just give me a chance this time? I'll be sure to make it up to you later." Matthew pressed his two hands begging Jun. 

Seeing his best friend act like a frightened animal despite his large frame made Jun sigh. This guy might look a bit intimidating but he was a big softie, and Jun was sure that Matthew truly didn't mean it. 

"Alright, I won't embarrass you in front of Jeniffer, but I will still play the game fairly." 

"That's fine with me." Matthew happily responded, now that he knows that Jun wasn't as mad as he thought he was made Matthew feel relieved.

The two men returned to the girls, and Matthew with renewed vigor spoke. 

"Are you guys ready to have fun?!" 

"YES!" Jeniffer happily responds to Matthew trying to hype them up. Jun and Lisa simply nodded at the loud proclamation. Lisa even unconsciously clung to Jun because she was surprised by Matthew suddenly shouting.
