Love Will Lead You Back

Li Wei hurriedly helped Lori to stand up and lead her out of his office, "Ms Shen are you okay? Don't provoke boss he has a lot on his plate right now. Try to understand him more. As you said, you will be his wife. Don't do this kind of thing, he doesn't like it." Li Wei tried to comfort and warn her but Lori hissed and pushed him as soon as they got out of his office.

After Lori left, Li Wei stayed outside Cheng Ze's office, he was scared of going in, all he could hear coming from Cheng Ze's office was things getting broken and his frustrated voice, it ran for a good ten minutes.

"Yup that is the beast inside him. Thank you, Ms Shen, for waking up the beast that has been asleep and pacified for quite sometimes. The only person who can pacify him right now is a piece of good news about his woman who is nowhere to be found. Great! Why did I even accept this job?" He murmured outside his office as he waited for his cue to get back in.

Ji An and Eric had a quick marriage at the town hall a month before she gave birth. It was a very simple one, only his parents and Alice were there. Ji An invited her close friends, Zarah and Rose, she didn't invite a lot as there will be a big wedding after a few months. Eric's best buddies who knew he loved her from long ago were there and are happy for him to finally marrying the woman he had always liked. The reception followed and was held in their house at Chelsea.

Now nine months pregnant, Ji An was just waiting for her due date and everything had been prepared for their daughter. Instead of giving birth at the hospital, she preferred a water birth at home. Eric cleared his schedule and didn't go to work during the last month of her pregnancy. He was worried sick for her and only focused on Ji An. He wanted to be there for her when she gives birth to their daughter.

Finally, the day has come, she was about to give birth. Eric assisted the midwife and he followed her instructions on how to help Ji An give birth with his support. He assisted and comforted her whenever she was in pain. If he could just take all the pain she was dealing with, he would take it all for her so she doesn't have to suffer. But unfortunately for him, giving birth is something only a woman can do.

After 10 hours of labour, their little angel came out healthy and her hardship paid off as she cuddled with her little baby girl. The moment Eric laid his eyes on her, he thought, `She's my daughter.' His smile never left his face and he adored the little one so much, falling in love with her the moment he laid his eyes on her, just like how he fell in love with her mother Ji An.

Their baby looks so adorable, her fair skin, cute nose, tiny arms, legs and fingers, she certainly looks like Ji An and resembled a bit of Eric. Well, you cannot really tell as babies usually don't show any other features just yet. She was just born a few minutes ago after all.

Ji An cuddled her little angel and all the pain she caused her were gone. It was replaced with pure happiness and satisfaction. But for some reason, when she looked at her daughter, she seemed to resemble Cheng Ze, but of course, to her, she's probably just imagining it. There is no reason why she should resemble him in any way.

Months went by and the Lewis family were excited about the big wedding. Everything was prepared for how Ji An wanted it.

Their little angel is now 6 months old and started to show her features. Though she looked like Ji An, she has features that strongly resembles Cheng Ze but at the same time, it seemed like she resembles Eric too. Is it because she's longing for Cheng Ze deep in her heart that even her daughter would resemble him?

Eric was so pleased with their daughter. First, there was no issue when she was born. Second, she's just really adorable and perfect just like her mother and lastly, Eric loved her so much and he was spoiling her at that young age treating her like his very own child.

After their official wedding, he was sure that they will be a very happy and complete family, Eric couldn't wait any longer, even though they got married a while back, he never really made love with Ji An but he intended to do it after their church wedding, he waited long enough and now it's time to claim what legally belongs to him.

Their wedding was announced in the international newspaper that only business people read all over the world. After all, Eric was a businessman who is very proud of his bride. He has to announce it to the world and let them know who swept his heart.

It was published just one day before the wedding and Li Wei saw the front page of that international newspaper, "ERIC LEWIS, TO WED LI JI AN?" He continued reading it as the woman seemed to resemble the woman his boss was looking for and it piqued his curiosity. After he confirmed that it was indeed the Li Ji An his boss was searching for through the picture provided, he immediately called his boss and told him that he has to see the newspaper and he was on his way to where the engagement party was being held.

That night was Lori and Cheng Ze's engagement announcement. He doesn't know what Li Wei has to show him so he was not really bothered about it though he said it was something about the newspaper, maybe it was about a business that needs his attention. His father was so happy that his son complied with the arrangement he had made. Lori was over the moon as she will be engaged to the man of her dreams. Just a little bit more and it will be known that she is engaged to Gu Cheng Ze.

Gu Feng was about to announce the engagement and Lori was so happy and excited, finally, it's happening while Cheng Ze was just standing there beside her with a poker face and doesn't really care about what is about to happen.

Gu Feng started to greet the guests to get the hype going before he announces the engagement of his son and the Shen's. "Good evening! I thank all of you for coming tonight."

Li Wei arrived holding the newspaper in his hand waving at Cheng Ze. He noticed Li Wei and excused himself to Lori for a moment.

"What is it?" Cheng Ze asked Li Wei as he glanced at his father on the stage who was still on his speech.

"Boss look!" He gave the newspaper to him in such urgency.

He took his time before looking at it because any moment now his father will announce their engagement and he has to run back and meet Lori on the stage where his father is. Cheng Ze grabbed the newspaper and open it, 'ERIC LEWIS, TO WED LI JI AN?' As soon as he read the front page and saw the photo, he ran outside forgetting about his own engagement, not caring if his father will go mad at him for running away in the middle of his important event. Li Wei followed him and he knew what his boss was about to do, therefore, he had already prepared his passport but he didn't manage to get a ticket yet as he rushed straight to his boss.

They got in the car and Li Wei drove off straight away. "When did you see this?" Cheng Ze asked very seriously and his face was unreadable.

"When I called you. I have your passport here." Li Wei took it from his inside pocket and showed it to his boss, "I didn't get a ticket yet because I rushed coming here. Lucky I got held up in the office and saw that." Li Wei had expected this reaction from him and he wasn't wrong.

Upon reaching the airport, Cheng Ze rushed to buy the first ticket ging to Heathrow. While he was waiting for his flight he continued reading the newspaper to get more information. The wedding is in the afternoon and will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral at 5 in the afternoon, Reception will be in Saatchi Gallery in Sloane Square. He will have enough time to stop the wedding according to his calculation. Of course, Li Wei is going with him.
