Love Will Lead You Back

Li Wei noticed him smiling and wearing his happy face. He can see that he was in a really good mood so he took his chance and behaved cheekily, "Boss I believe my reward is due."

"We will be arriving in Beijing soon and you can have a month off and I will triple your salary while you are having fun for a month. You don't have to send me home. I will deal with everything. I'll handle it, you just have fun. Oh... Li Wei... thank you." Cheng Ze smiled at him satisfyingly.

Li Wei took the car they used to go to the airport the other night. He was pleased and very happy that he was rewarded well, though his conscience was telling him off. "Ms Li, I'm terribly sorry if I put you in trouble. My boss is hopelessly in love with you. He knew he lost you already but he couldn't give up. I just hope you won't put me in jail for all my wrongdoings to you." he shook his head as he talked to himself before starting the car and drove off. Before Li Wei left on his own, he made sure that there will be a car to pick up his boss from the airport.

'What will I do without you, Li Wei.' He thought while he entered the car that came for him to take him home.

Gu Residence

Father Gu was in the living room when Cheng Ze entered their mansion at 9 in the morning looking so happy. He immediately stood up wearing his angry face. "Where the hell did you go? Why did you leave your fiance to face the guest on her own? Is it really that important?" Gu Feng threw the questions one after the other.

He smirked at his father and put his hands in his pockets, "Yes! That business is much more important than my life! I still didn't get the deal that I wanted but I did get something. However, that is my business, it has nothing to do with you, so I think I should not explain my actions to you. Besides Lori Shen is your arrangement, not mine. I complied with your request so everything should be okay. Right father?" His arrogance towards his father was immense, he hated him so much to the point that he can disrespect him at any moment he pleased and his father will just take it because Gu Feng felt that Cheng Ze hated him and Meiling so much for being together and he was just rebelling towards them.

He didn't know that Lori entered the house just as he started to answer his father hearing everything he had said, "So you are forced to get engaged with me?" She suddenly spoke as she stared at Cheng Ze's back.

Gu Feng got startled so as Cheng Ze but only for a brief moment. Cheng Ze looked back to face Lori. "Hello, my fiance." He greeted Lori, "Are you not happy? We are engaged, right? Don't worry I will still marry you and I will not leave you at the altar." He walked over to her and whispered in her ear, "I will be needing your money. All of it! I can only get it from you through marriage." Then he moved his face away from her making a distance between their faces.

"You son of a bitch!" she slapped him hard on his left cheek, her face was so angry and furious.

Cheng Ze touched his face that got slapped and he smirked like it didn't hurt at all, "Not bad sweetheart." He then grabbed her hand, "Do you want me to kiss you so you won't get mad at me?" He then pulled her close to him and whispered in her ear, "Don't dream of my lips, you will never have it. You can never have my heart even after marriage. You are just a bank for me!" He then let her go and went to his room leaving Lori in the brink of crying but she held it up and not a single tear fell from her eyes.

Gu Feng apologised to Lori on behalf of his son, that's all he can do for now. "Lori he just got back, give him some time to rest. I'm sure he didn't mean everything he said. He's just tired." His comforting voice wasn't enough for Lori but she was calm and didn't show any ill feelings towards Cheng Ze.

"Its okay uncle. I will tame him once we got married. He just waits and he will see." She then bid Gu Feng goodbye and left.

Gu Feng massage his temples. That son of his can really hold grudges. Ever since Cheng Ze stepped foot in their mansion he never changed his attitude towards him and Meiling. He blamed him for everything. He only has one son, his only heir and he doesn't listen or respect him.

Meiling heard them talking but she didn't interfere. She only went down to see Gu Feng after Cheng Ze and Lori was gone. "Gu Feng, maybe we shouldn't force Cheng Ze to marry Lori." She started to massage Gu Feng's temples to somehow comfort her husband.

"Lori is the perfect match for him. She's pretty, talented and from a good family. She is good for him and for business too. We can expand the business when they get married." Gu Feng explained in a very calm voice, he was always calm when Meiling is beside him. She is the only one who can pacify and tame him, after all, she was the love of his life.

"But Cheng Ze is not in love with her. I'm sure you can see that." She was not against Lori, but she's just worried that it will be a very unhappy married life and could end up in a nasty divorce.

"Hmm, he can fall for her and learn to love her with great efforts from Lori. She'll make him fall in love with her. She's a sweet child, I can see that." He tried to reason with Meiling to make her agree with him.

"Of all people, you know that is not possible. You cannot learn it." She reminded him of the past with those words.

"Don't talk about it. This is different!" He stood up, "Let's eat breakfast."
