Love Will Lead You Back

Sofia came out of the kitchen. "Daddy! You're here. Can you do something for me?" Smiling cheerfully at Cheng Ze.

Cheng Ze looked at her, "Come here." Sofia went to sit on his l.a.p, "So how can I help my gorgeous little lady hmm?" he smiled at her.

"Could you put this in your mouth and rub it on your cheeks," she gestured it with her hand to show Cheng Ze how he's suppose to do it, "Like this," putting her finger in her mouth and rubbed her hand inside her cheeks. "Do it a lot of times." She then smiled at him cheekily and grinned.

Cheng Ze laughed at her adorable face, "May I know why I have to do it?"

She looked at him, "Well— Because— I just need it. Please daddy. It doesn't hurt." she tried to convince him by pouting her lips and tugging his arm.

He laughed at her once again, "Okay. But after, can I have a kiss from you? Daddy is really stressed out." He took the cotton buds from her little hand and didn't wait for her reply. He rubbed it repeatedly while looking at Sofia. "Is this enough?"

"Do it more daddy. You have to clean your mouth sometimes you know," she stated innocently.

It made Cheng Ze laugh more. "Aren't we supposed to clean our mouth with water and toothbrush?" He spoke as he rubbed his inside cheeks.

"Because I'm playing and that's my toothbrush!" she grinned at him once more.

"Okay, okay! I think I rubbed it to many times and I can feel my mouth clean. Thank you Sofia."

"Okay daddy, thank you! I'm going now.l— Ah! I forgot..." she kissed his cheeks twice before leaving.

It made Cheng Ze smile and somehow lifted his spirits up. He felt a little better. Truly is a child's kiss can make any parents happy. "She's not even mine and she can make me feel better." he sighed deeply.

He remembered what Ji An told Eric earlier. 'He had her once? They were married but he only had her once? Sofia is 5, is she a prem.a.t.u.r.e child? It still doesn't add up!' he covered his face with the palm of his hands. "What am I thinking? Why am I giving myself a headache?" he then rubbed his temples.

Hilton penthouse

Eric called his parents telling them he will stay in Beijing for a bit. He also called his assistant letting him know that he will have to act on his behalf for now because he will do business from Beijing from now on until further notice. He also called Alice asking her to come to Beijing when she has a break to convince Ji An to go back home, but Alice was really busy. She can't travel anywhere at the moment leaving Eric on his own.

Ji An recalled what happened at the hotel with Eric and Cheng Ze. It was surreal. She never imagined that side of Eric. He was always gentle with her and he never behaved like that. Right now, he seemed to be a different person. Far from the Eric she knew.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Madam Gu and Sofia were having fun. Madam Gu prepared the swab sample she got and put it away safely. While Sofia watched her.

"Do you want a pancake Sofia?" Madam Gu asked her with enthusiasm.

Sofia nodded, "Yes please Nana. Make one for mummy and daddy too."

"Okay then, but you have to help me okay?"

Meiling prepared the ingredients she will need and took a bowl from the cupboard. A small one for Sofia and a big one for her. She took 2 whisks as well again it's a small one and a big one. "We will do it together, okay." they started to put the ingredients together for the pancake and Sofia followed whatever she did.

Sofia was enjoying herself and was having a good time with her Nana. Madam Gu was also enjoying her granddaughter's company.

Gu Feng showed up in the kitchen and saw the pair. "What are you two doing? Are you making a mess?" he teasingly asked them. He can't speak English so Madam Gu has to translate it for Sofia.

"Nana, what did grandpa say?"

"He's asking what are we doing?" she gave her a warm smile.

"Meiling, we should enrol her to a school. She better learn Chinese. It will be good for her." he moved towards the pair and he started to play with Sofia. He then stopped and stared at Sofia's face. "How can you resemble my son when you are not even his daughter?!" he sighed "My eyes are getting worse or I am just craving for my own grandchild?" He shook his head while smiling.

"You noticed it too Gu Feng?!" Madam Gu sounded surprised and followed her husband. "But what if she is your son's daughter?" she stood behind him and looked at him.

Gu Feng looked at her, "She has a husband right? How can my son be her father?"

"I haven't told you, they've divorced and he is not her real father." She gave her a meaningful smile like she was hinting him something. "Your son went to London. I don't have any evidence yet but soon I will." She looked at Sofia and smiled.
