Gu Feng was a bit shocked. "You mean my son and your daughter—" he coughed before he continued with a whispering voice, "Likes each other?"

"That is what I'm trying to find out! Your son won't admit it though!"

"If he is her father, how come he didn't know about it?" he was confused as he asked his wife.

Madam Gu laughed and she moved close to Gu Feng and whispered in his ear, "Because your son is naughty! I'm still mad at him but that anger will have to wait until I have my proof."

"What do you mean Meiling?" He furrowed his brows and stared at her.

"Your son— How should I say it?— Look— I don't want him to get in trouble with you without being 100% sure she is his. I'll tell you then after finding out."

"Meiling, my son is engaged with the Shen's daughter. But if she turns out to be his, it will create a problem." he sounded concerned and stressed.

"You will have a grandchild though!" Her smile was ear to ear. "Look at her, isn't she adorable?"

It made Gu Feng think and looked at Sofia, "If you turned out to be my granddaughter, my son will have to take responsibility for you and for your mother." He touched her little face, "We will have to cancel the engagement, it wouldn't be fair for them to be in a complicated situation. Hurry and get the proof." he was happy to have her as his granddaughter but worried at the same time because of the trouble that the Shen's can bring to them.

Sofia smiled at them, "Nana, what did grandpa say?"

"He said you are really pretty and you have to go to school. You have to learn Chinese so you will understand him." She smiled full of warmth.

"School? Okay!" she agreed so easily, she likes school.

The next day Cheng Ze went to work early. He called Li Wei and discussed some business stuff. They talked about what will happen if they let go of Eric.

"What's your opinion about leaving Mr Lewis out?" Cheng Ze suddenly asked Li Wei.

Li Wei looked at him, 'Why all of a sudden he wants him out?' "Well, It's not gonna be good to let him go. The company will suffer a big loss plus he is a partner now. Also, the expansion to Europe is on his hands. It will be wise to keep him on board for our company's sake."

"I really don't want to do business with him anymore! Is there no way to kick him out? If we have to pay to kick him out of the company, I think we should." Cheng Ze looked dead serious.

"Did something happened? You cannot decide this matter by yourself! You will have to have a meeting and the board will decide. Plus you wanted this, you wanted him in the company. It won't be good for all of us to throw him out. It's a lose-lose situation." Li Wei explained.

"Mr Lewis is forcing Ji An to be with him! He was forcing himself to her. Lucky I came, if I didn't, I don't know what could have happened to her," he stated angrily.

"Isn't he her husband?" he curiously blurted.

"No. They've divorced."

"Oh! Then why is he telling everyone she is his wife?" he was bewildered with his response.

"Because he wants to cling on her. He doesn't want to let her go. He loves her that much." he said without any emotions as he check the doc.u.ments oh his desk.

Li Wei moved closer to him, "Boss, have you find out anything about her daughter?" He remembered Sofia and the possibilities that she could be his.

"What about her?" he asked without looking at Li Wei as he concentrated on the files.

"Well, just by her face I can tell she's yours!" he murmured next to him.

"Hmm?... Li Wei get back to work. Men don't gossip! She has a father." He said while giving him a warning look. But in his head he was curious, 'Is it possible for her to be mine? To be my daughter? How?' he relaxed on his chair and shut his eyes trying to recall things, "Li Wei... Why are you giving me a headache?"

Li Wei looked at him, "How is it a headache? What if she's yours? I'm sure you want to be her father, am I wrong?"

"And what if she's not? You want me to have hope and then crush me down?" He got irritated, "Let's say she turned out to be mine, what then? Lori and I— The engagement— Li Wei just stop your gossips." he sounded so fed up.

"Boss you slept with her 6 years ago! Don't tell me you didn't think it's possible for her to fall pregnant and carry your child? We didn't hear anything from her after that. She came here and she stayed with you! She probably came to tell Madam Gu she is pregnant with an unknown father but because of the situation, she couldn't bring herself to tell anyone." Li Wei didn't stop there. He has no plan on stopping at all. "What if you knew back then? What if she had told all of you her situation? Will Ms Shen be in the picture? Boss, I'm really concerned here for you." He looked at him trying to convince him to listen to him.
