Love Will Lead You Back

"Cheng Ze invited us. We didn't know they got—" Ying Yue got cut off by Cheng Ze, he didn't let her finish her sentence and he answered for her.

"I invited them for Ji An. They're her friends, so I figured she would be happy to see them again." He then told the girls to head over to the dining table to wait for Ji An. "I'll go and get Ji An upstairs. Hold on." he smiled and left them there.

Ji An was fixing Sofia's hair when Cheng Ze came. His arms instantly wrapped around her waist and spoke near her ears, "Hey Babe, are you done? They are here."

'Babe?' She didn't say anything about the "babe" thing, but she reacted on his sudden hug, "Let me go! I'm fixing her hair." She didn't sound annoyed or mad, obviously she likes it too.

"Your friends are downstairs waiting for you." And gently gave her a little peck on her neck.

His sudden kiss made her stop doing what she was doing, but he wasn't finished flirting with her. Her body went stiff and Cheng Ze felt it, he decided to tease her more and see what she will do about it. He whispered in her ear, "You smell so good. I feel like letting Sofia go down first." he was just teasing her but obviously, if he can get away with it, he will go ahead with it. It's a win win for him.

With her last strength before losing her mind, she elbowed him, "Leave us alone. Stop pestering me, Cheng Ze. I'll go and see them in a bit."

Not trying to push it anymore as he got elbowed, he left them alone and went back downstairs, "She's strong." As he hold his side that got hit.

Li Wei arrived with his girlfriend and greeted his friend, "Cheng Ze, you're not my boss tonight." He hugged him like he misses his long lost buddy.

Cheng Ze laughed, "Make the most of it. Tomorrow I'll definitely make you suffer."

They have been friends since their college days. They stuck together until to this day. Li Wei was very loyal to him. He didn't come from a wealthy family but Cheng Ze treated him nicely he even paid for his tuition fee when Li Wei needed it.

To repay him, he stayed by his side even if Cheng Ze can be difficult at times. Most of the time, Cheng Ze takes his advice but usually, Cheng Ze was just too bossy and orders him about.

Ji An and Sofia came down together. Her friends looked at them as they come down and adored the little girl in her hand.

Cheng Ze noticed them and he rushed to Ji An's side leaving Li Wei and his girlfriend on their own. Well, his wife comes first before them.

"Your daughter is so beautiful, he looks just like her father, don't you think so Ying Yue, Yiyi? She really resembles Cheng Ze so much." Feng Mian praised Sofia.

"Ah right... You seemed to forgot us. Why you didn't invite us when you two got married!" Ying Yue added.

Ji An was surprised with their comments about Sofia and her wedding, but what she had in mind was her wedding with Eric, "Even if I invited you guys, you won't be—"

"Cheng Ze told us you had a simple wedding and just registered it. Even so, you should have told us." Xi Yiyi added with her sulking voice.

"Cheng Ze told you we got married?" The astonishment in her voice were apparent and her brows furrowed.

"Hmm... And this pretty girl is yours and his." Ying Yue fawned over Sofia, "What a combination. Ahh, I'm so jealous. Why didn't he fell for me?" Ying Yue said while laughing. "I will give him 10 cute babies if he wants me to."

They all started laughing as they talked more, Cheng Ze went behind Ji An and placed his hands on her waist, "How is my wife doing with her friends?" He wrapped his hands around her waist and kissed her cheeks.

Ji An blushed and was startled by his sudden actions. She couldn't move from where she was standing, if she chase him out what will her friends think so she decided to play along and will just get him back later. "Oh, husband, thank you for bringing them here. I want to spend some time with them. Go with your friend over there, okay..."

Cheng Ze didn't expect that from her. He thought he will get chased out. 'If this is okay with her, maybe I can do more.' he thought and smiled at his idea. "Okay my dear wife." he kissed her tenderly on her lips. "I'll do what you say." Leaving her surprised where she stood.

"Oh... I'm really jealous. How can he be so sweet in front of us? You are such a wonderful couple." Xi Yiyi cannot help but made that comment.

Feng Mian on the other hand, remembered about their reunion soon, "Ah, we have a reunion soon. Both of you should go and make them all jealous."

They started laughing again as they reminisce about the past and talking about the present.

"I'll just go and see my mother first. You should eat okay?" she left them and took Sofia with her.

"Ma, can you watch Sofia for me. My friends and I are going to drink, I don't want her to see me drinking. Is that okay?" With her eyes asking her mother politely.

"Go ahead, have fun with them. I'll watch her don't worry." she took Sofia from Ji An and told her to get her toys and they'll play together with grandpa Feng.

Li Wei, his girlfriend and Cheng Ze were doing barbecue in the garden. Li Wei secretly asked him if he found out the truth about Sofia's paternity. Cheng Ze just smiled at him and with that, Li Wei knew exactly what he meant. "Let's drink for the truth." Li Wei held his beer up.

Ji An opened a bottle of prosecco and filled their glass half full. She also served some dishes for them to eat while they drink and chat.
