Loving With My Mind

Chapter 2 - Not Married Yet

"Not much, but...but I'll learn!" She seemed to be talking to herself than to him.

Truth was, she graduated from a culinary school in Country F, and even though she majored in pasticier, she still needed to develop a lot of skills in the kitchen.

Han Yixin was flabbergasted by the kitchen. As her fingers brush past the cabinets, she paused as pulled a handle. She almost cried to find the hidden fridge.

This is the kitchen she really wanted. She subtly wiped a tear at corner of her eye, lifting her full-rimmed large glasses a little.

Zhao Mingzhe's brows raised. 'This woman likes the kitchen too much?'

He cleared his throat as she admired the subtly modern conduction stove and oven. "Let's go upstairs."

Before she was able to respond, he was already out of the kitchen and making his way up the curved staircase.

The second floor had three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom.

Zhao Mingzhe cleared his throat once again. "This is the master's bedroom." He opened the double door to reveal a king size bed with white dr.a.p.es.

Han Yixin went and explored the bedroom and checked the en suite bathroom. To her surprise, aside from the toilet and shower, it had a tiled plunge pool.

"This..." She looked back at him.

He shrugged.

If one would think about it, they are not having a good conversation at all.

He stepped back, but then she was scared when he started to take his coat off and loosen his tie.

"Hey! Wha-what are you doing?!" She was panicking.

In the quarter of a century that she had been alive, she had never seen a n.a.k.e.d man in the flesh.

Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets as he removed his dress shirt.

His abdominal wall muscles are well toned as well as his pectoralis pair. A naive woman like her can go blind within seconds.

"Hey! Put your clothes back on! We're not married yet!" She waved her index finger to command him as her other hand barely covers her eyes.

He turned around and hid his smirk.

The next moment, his pants are off and only his boxers remained.

"They will install the AC tomorrow. Good night." he threw himself onto the bed.

"What?! No! Don't sleep! I wanna go back home!" She tried to shake his body awake.

As she did, she accidentally pulled onto his boxers and her eyes were never pure again.

She screamed as she took a pillow and threw it at him.

"Hey! Weren't you the one who emphasized that we're not married yet? How come you can't wait to undress me?!" He pulled up his boxers and hid under the sheets.

She emerged back the bathroom with a towel on her head covering her face.

"I wanna go home! Take me back!" She did not know how to drive so she could only plead.

"Shh! Stop shouting! My head hurts so I'm sleeping now! I'll take you back tomorrow." It was clear in his voice that he was annoyed.

When she did not respond, he looked up from under the blankets.

Then he saw the towel falling from her crying face.

He immediately sat up and then stood before her.

"Hey, don't cry! Your eyes are gonna swell up when you wake up tomorrow. They're gonna blame me for making you cry."

"So what?!" she spat.

Then his face turned serious. "Han Yixin." his voice was domineering.

She immediately stopped crying.

"Look, we will be married in less than two months. By that time, you have to put up with me, and I will extend every bit of my patience to put up with you. So can we please try not to get on each other's nerves?"

She swallowed. "Alright." The way she suddenly changed her mood was scary.

She silently went out of the room.

She opened another room and lied on the bed. She was exhausted herself.

She was actually not some spoiled princess. She can even go on hiking trips. However, she always brought with her her stuffed panda, which is large enough for a pillow. She could not remember when it started, but ever since she was a child, the toy gave her a sense of security and she cannot sleep without it. Since this was an unexpected overnight, She cannot sleep in the room.

Soon, it rained, and the rain poured hard that there were thunderbolts.

Zhao Mingzhe was awakened by the weather. As he just woke up, he was processing his environment when he heard a faint shout.

Then he remembered that he brought that woman with him.

He hurriedly checked on the rooms and found her in the smallest one. He did not expect that she would choose such as small room since her room in the Han estate should have been quite large so it was the last one he checked.

He looked onto the bed and the movements under the blanket seemed like she was shivering.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asked from a distance.

Another lightning flashed onto them like a camera.

She suddenly stood up and clung unto him.

"Hey, what are you..." he was about to push her away, but before he could like removing a gum under one's shoe, he paused.

She was trembling.

"I'm...I...I'm so-sorry! Sorry! Just for a while...I...I just need to..." she tried to explain. She had always been afraid of lightning. Just like the case of the panda, she did not remember why.

Suddenly, she felt herself being lifted. Then she realized that he had carried her over one shoulder, then she was thrown onto the fluffy bed in the master's bedroom.

She sobered up instantly. "Hey, why did you bring me here?! We're not married yet!"

He was currently embracing her under the sheets.

He was really annoyed.

"Shut up! Or else I'll kiss you! You understand?!" he hugged her again after her head moved like a rattle as she pursed her lips.

That night, even without her panda, Han Yixin slept soundly even with the thunderstorm outside.
