After cutting cake and celebrating, both of them went to bed. After Jonathan and Martha went to sleep, Marcus and Winston got up.

When they willed together, something unexpected happen. Two white portal appeared but they didn't stayed that way. They attracted each other, coming closer and then finally merging and creating a red portal. While the white portals didn't have any suction power , the new red portal s.u.c.k.e.d them in it.

Such messages popped up in front of them in a giant holograph. After a minute they vanished and only a huge count down timer remained in the sky. Right now they were at a place which is 'not' earth. A giant red sun hung above their head. Their lung started to burn by inhaling air. They felt weak. At a word, they thought of Kryptonian atmosphere. They were required to survive here for 10 days. Worse, in this training ground they are not guaranteed to survive, they can die. Silver lining is surviving will wield them rewards. But right now they can only think of breathing properly as each breath is burning their lung badly. Both of them, barely being able to being conscious, started to adapt to the air.

After 2 hour or so, enduring all the suffering, they started to be able to somewhat breath. It was still uncomfortable, but their highly adapting gene at work, they manage to make do for now.

-Winston, you alright brother?

-Barely, alive I guess.

-That will have to make do for now. Let us scout out the area. Who knows what lurks..... what the hell is that?

Eying them was a animal, which reminded them of puma but smaller. But the muscle, teeth, claw and the sheer aura that thing were emitting left them gobsmacked. They never left anything like this before. They hunted ferocious animal in there previous life or fought with dangerous people as training or occasionally cleaned up sc.u.ms, none of them comes near close to this thing.

They were hungry, weak, barely able to breath with only a single knife as a weapon. So, did any sane person would do to survive, run....

After running for 5 hours straight around the jungle juking it using trees bumps and what not, they jumped off a cliff in a fountain not so high. All that running gave them severe muscle ache, they are now out off breath, heavily panting, barely able to move their bodies. Good thing is that further forced them to adapt to this condition, after a rest they would back to their peak, not in strength as they are under a red sun, but in health.

They swam up shore, checked their parameter, took off their ragged pajama and washed them selves and the pajamas, and lastly found some fruits to fill up their belly. They left that place then afraid that the puma like creature would come back to hunt them.

They searched the mountainous jungle for a cave as night was upon them. They cut off some brunches of the tree and lit some fire using their knife and some stone to keep themselves warm for the night.

Next morning they woke up, rested, refreshed, accustomed to environment and fully able to put their training to use. They made some branch and vine to make shift fishing rod and fished some weird looking fish from nearby pond. Fry them with fire they made their breakfast. After putting something in the belly, they went out looking for the damnable creature that gave them so much pain yesterday. It was time to pay back.

They didn't have to search too much, as the creature was near by, as if searching for them. This time though, they spotted the creature first, as they were using their tracking skills to the fullest. The creature was sniffing around nearby, as if it can smell its prey from yesterday but cannot see them. As sniffing around it really started to come closer to the twins. At this moment they separated and started to preparations.

15 minutes later....

The creature was confused, suddenly its prey's scent is all over the place, as if they have multiplied and all around him. Confused it decided to go for the strongest scent and against the wind, that way the prey wont realize it was coming. But that proved out to be a mistake, as after sometime it felt a tug on its leg, and next moment it was inside a net of vines. And the next thing it knew that something sharp has penetrated its neck. Letting out a painful cry it drew its last breath.

Winston said while drawing the knife from the creature's neck.

-You are not gonna talk your way out this time, Win.

- Okay, okay, help me process this thing. Two person having one knife doesn't help. Let's see we can scavenge a knife or two out of this thing and probably some meat too if possible.

So they made two make shift knife out of femur of the creature which was unusually hard. After that, they started to encounter more of those and different type of ferocious creatures. On that day they hunted 5 puma like creature, 4 tiger like creature, 7 Rhino like creature. By the time they were back to their cave, they had their full body covered with puma and tiger hides, their pajamas long gone. They extracted two make shift short sword, two bow of their ribs with cartilage. but the arrow heads were problem, they were still experimenting with sharp stone and tree parts.
