Married To A What?!

Chapter 42 - Mating Season

Sasuke looked at the menu and didn't feel like eating anything in particular. Itachi took one look at his brother and decided that he wouldn't force Sasuke. The young Uchiha looked like he'd been jilted and as the older brother, he had the duty to comfort Sasuke. From what he saw, Naruto and Sasuke didn't have any fights. The CEO then felt slightly guilty at making them go along with his plans to throw the paparazzi off and create a huge storm while coming out of the closet.

Sadly, not even the CEO could understand the sudden falling out. It was clear to anyone that while Naruto and Assume were like ice and fire, their chemistry was unquestionable. The love they held for each other was more profound than anything else and Itachi sometimes wondered if it was even stronger than that of his love for Kurama. It might even be on par with Kakashi and Iruka's feelings but the older Uchiha wasn't sure. This falling out simply didn't feel right and it could be said to be the young couple's first fight. Sure, they might fight over smaller things every other day but this level of hurting is something new. Itachi just wanted to hug his brother and remove all the pain in his eyes but this time, only Naruto was capable of it.

"Do you think he only wanted me for my body? Is that all I am to him? A breeding machine? I never bottom for anyone and yet in that moment I felt like I might be able to."

Itachi didn't say anything. He couldn't say anything, there was nothing he could tell Sasuke to make him feel better. While he didn't think that Naruto's feelings were so shallow, he didn't know what brought about the change either.

"Sorry for the wait," a gruff voice called out and Kurama threw his younger brother over to sit beside Sasuke.

Itachi threw the older fox demon a concerend look and the Hunter shook his head, taking a seat beside the cross-dressing CEO. While it wasn't anything major, Naruto and Sasuke had a lot to talk about. He just didn't know if the kids would still be up for the rest of today's agenda with the double date. After what Naurto pulled, Kurama could understand if Sasuke wanted some space.

"It's a fox thing," he explained to both Uchihas. "The mating season is coming near but this kit has apparently forgotten about it after spending way too long in the human world. He didn't take his suppressants and that was a product of his inner fox wanting to impregnant people."

Naruto looked like a kicked puppy and even without his mate's transformation, he could already imagine the droopy ears. Naruto very close to falling onto his knees for a dogeza when Sasuke didn't give him anything more than a glare. It honestly was his fault and the blond kitsune had no excuses. He knew that Sasuke was uncomfortable with becoming the reciver and what he did was a violation of their agreement that Naruto would never coerce his lover into doing anything he wasn't ready for.

Sasuke studied his husband and sighed. While he was seething on the inside, a part of him knew that he couldn't stay mad at the beautiful blond for long. He had a soft spot for the fox after all. Still, that didn't make it right. It would be a while before Sasuke would be able to forgive his husband for what he did. For now, there was no point in making the demon more miserable than he already made himself.

Naruto wasn't expecting to be punched on the arm so he yelped when it stung. The golden fox looked at his husband with slightly teary eyes and Sasuke took that opportunity to lean in and suck on his tongue.

Itachi looked disturbed. While he knew that his younger brother was sleeping with Kurama's younger brother, he didn't need a first hand encounter on them making out in the middle of a public space. The serving staff and customers were staring openly at the bold declaration and the CEO had no questions. Who cared about cheesy scenes like feeding each other ice cream? This was a good enough statement to tell the world that his younger brother was gay and taken.

Kurama eyed his cross-dressing lover with a heated look. Truth be told, the mating season was starting to affect him too despite being an older fox demon. Although the effects weren't as strong yet because his rut hasn't arrived, the Hunter wanted to claim Itachi over and over again. His rationality was slowly but surely breaking but Kurama held steadfast on his belief that culture shouold be respected. It's not polite to f.u.c.k on a double date and it certainly was bad maners to indulge in a four-way play with other people's siblings on the first double date.

With that, the Hunter smothered the fire in his loins forcefully. he would treasure his fragile mate, there was no debate.

Itachi caught the strange look that Kurama was giving him and he sighed. To be hoenst, he was somewhat envious of his brother's relationship. It was nice to see that despite the small hiccups due to the mating season, it was evident that they both wanted each other.

For Kurama, the CEO wasn't sure if it was merely a one-sided attraction. The Hunter was very gentlemanly and was perfect in every sense that Itachi wanted in a partner. The only thing causing him to be anxious about was Kurama's preference. He wouldn't touch Itachi ever since they'd started going out officially.

What was it that Kurama found distatsteful? Before this when things were more light-hearted, the Hunter couldn't keep his hands to himself. Now, the Hunter hasn't attempted anything. Itachi thought that perhaps it was a problem with his allure as a submissive. As a CEO, he was required to carry some sort of dominant air and that might be what was causing Kurama to pull back. As a result, Itachi decided to cross-dress to make a clear statement that for Kurama, he was willing to be submissive.

Still, the Hunter didn't make a move. Itachi was frustrated. He didn't know what he was doing wrong or how to fix it. Thinking back, the first time they slept together it was also Itachi who made the first move.

A cloud of worry formed over the CEO's head. Maybe... maybe Kurama wasn't interested in him after all and they became mates by accident.

A sickening feeling settled in the pit of Itachi's stomach as Sasuke excused himself for the day and dragged his husband home, no doubt to continue what they were doing a minute ago.

Beside him, Kurama sensed Itachi's uneasiness. The CEO was uncharacteristically quiet and it made the fox in him worry. All he wanted to do was wrap his arms around the fragile looking man and reassure him that he would slay any enemy who dared threaten them. However, things were often more complicated in the human world. Regardless, the Hunter was determined to protect both Itachi and his empire.
