Miss Ordinary: I Was Reborn To Love You!

"F.u.c.k!" he yelled as he speeds up, now only twenty seconds away from the black car. He saw the man was about to shoot and Bella Lim was about to reach the corner. If she slowed down, she would get shot…

He must act now! This man who was holding a gun should lose a hand…

Eric Wu locked on his target but then something amazing happened. His eyes widened when he saw Bella Lim professionally took the turn. He witnessed her motorbike leaned towards the inside of the corner, almost touching the graveled road. This was a fast cornering! He almost exclaimed out loud. This woman, where did she learn such a high skill?

Eric Wu was still amazed but then, he noticed the man who clearly was appalled at the scene just now had regained himself and was ready to shoot. He knew it was time... he pulled the trigger of the gun in his hand and shot at the man's arm. He could see the reaction of agony.

Not yet... Eric Wu's motorbike accelerated, now paralleled to the black car. He matched their speed, looked at the people inside through the open window, held out his gun…

He saw the panicked people inside the car stumbled to get their own weapon. This chaotic scene made him smile. Yet, no matter the amus.e.m.e.nt, he pulled the trigger. The person who managed to hold his gun first was shot! Another tried to aim at him… but was shot again. The driver finally realized that this man wasn't their match. He abruptly hit the brake and made a 180-degree turned. They needed to go or else, their life would be in danger. This mission was a miscalculation… 

Eric Wu chuckled when he saw the car left to the opposite side. He didn't bother to chase after them knowing that there would be people waiting at the main entrance. His mission now was to catch up to Bella Lim. After a while, he saw them and realized that her motorbike seemed to slow down. She looked haggard and her maneuvering was unstable.

Was she affected by the gunshots? Eric Wu thought so. He spoke: "Miss Bella, don't worry. I'm behind you," 

Silent.

"Your brother was safe. The gun was mine," he explained.

He waited and soon he heard her laugh. Her maneuvering finally stabilized. Eric Wu shook his head. This woman was so easy to panic that she missed out on the signals given by her little brother. 

Eric Wu had noticed Bella Lim's little brother had been trying to call his sister but the other was too occupied with the fear in her mind.

This woman, what kind of personality was this? Eric Wu was truly curious. This was the third time he felt this kind of emotion. The first time was at Kastache when he saved the sixteen years old girl. The second time was the woman in his dream. It seemed that his curiosity was always piqued by weird women… Except for the beauty in his dream. She was a mystery!

Fast forward… 

Eric Wu walked towards Bella Lim who was helping her little brother getting off the motorbike. He almost laughed when she saw her removed her little brother's helmet first before hers. 

"Don't you think you should remove your helmet first?" he teased as he gave the motorbike key to Tao who rushed to him as soon as he saw him. He looked at Bella Lim with folded arms, lips curled to a grin. He saw her agitatedly removed the helmet on her head. 

"M-Mr Eric…" Bella Lim felt her ears getting hotter when she heard Eric Wu's teasing remark. She didn't want to admit it, but she had really forgotten to remove her helmet. She internally sighed. 

"Miss Bella, I'll take care of your bike," she heard Tao who was standing next to Eric Wu spoke. She looked at the man who was adorned with an earnest look on his face. She smiled and gave her key to him.

"Thank you," she said and saw Tao nodded before leaving with the keys.

"M-Mr-"she focused on Eric Wu. She wanted to thank him again. But the man was now ignoring him. His attention was on little pumpkin who right now was staring at him with starry eyes.

"Little boy, are you okay?" she heard him asked. Then, she saw him kneeled on one knee, looking at little pumpkin with a smile on his face.

That smile… was the most handsome she ever saw.

"I'm okay sir. Thank you for saving me and my big sister," little pumpkin said. His eyes were looking at Eric Wu like looking at his hero. He was smiling from ear to ear with eyes wide open, refusing to let go of the man in front of him.

"Good! You did a really good job there!" Eric Wu touched the little boy's head with a gentle smile on his face. He was really amazed by the little boy, it was hard to experience Bella Lim's skills, but he did well. Like someone who was already used to it…

"Thank you sir!" little pumpkin grinned widely. He touched his head that was touched by Eric Wu earlier. The warm lingered and he loved it. It felt good like when his big sister patted him.

"Call me big brother from now on. Your sister here is a friend of mine. She should learn how to call me Eric as I will call her Bella from now on. What do you think?" Eric Wu spoke as he took a glance at Bella Lim with a mischievous smile on his face.

Bella Lim saw this and was taken aback. Was this approval of her friendship? Did it mean that Eric Wu had truly acknowledged her as a friend? She couldn't believe it.

"M-Mr Eric-" she wanted to say something but was cut off by little pumpkin.

"Big sis… big brother Eric requested you to call him informally. Why are you using a formal salutation?" little pumpkin pouted and looked at her sister criticizingly. 

"Right~" Eric Wu added on as he lifted an eyebrow, staring at Bella Lim with a meaningful gaze.

Bella Lim was speechless. Just now she just experienced hell on the road. So how did it turn into another torturing yet interesting skit like this? She stared at Eric Wu, but facing his mischievous face, she couldn't take it. She looked away bashfully.

This man… must he become this mischievous? Or was this another way of torturing her. Did this man know that her heart couldn't take any of his 'affectionate' gestures? 

"E-Eric…" she mustered her courage to say his name. She felt her whole body weakened. She was barely standing.

"Big brother! Big sis did it!" little pumpkin skipped in joy. He even went to give a high five to Eric Wu. Seeing this and how Eric Wu excitedly responded to little pumpkin, Bella Lim was again rendered speechless. 

What was this event? She felt her heart race faster and louder.

Somehow, she loved seeing the two interacted in such away.

A smile was on her face. Eric Wu saw this and subconsciously took a deep breath. This woman… why was her smile similar to the one in his dream?
