Miss Ordinary: I Was Reborn To Love You!

About an hour before the kidnap attempt, Eric Wu was racing against Sun Nan on a game called Forza Horizon 4, while Lu Fei who had lost two rounds against Eric Wu, was a bystander cheering for Sun Nan.

"Damn! Damn! Damn! This isn't fair!" Sun Nan cursed as he threw the controller on the cushion next to him. He stared at the big fonts on the screen in front of him saying '2nd PLACE'. He looked indignantly at Eric Wu who looked calm as if beating him didn't bring him joy.

"Again?" Eric Wu asked as he lifted his controller, provoking the already provoked Sun Nan.

"No way!" Sun Nan rejected his offer immediately. Then, he turned towards Lu Fei who was chuckling as he looked at the screen displaying Sun Nan's worst result.

"Lu Fei, don't you dare to laugh. Let's fight on the icy road. Let's see who'll win," he requested. 

"Sure," Lu Fei happily accepted. He took over Eric Wu's controller and sat on the cushion next to Sun Nan.

"I admit defeat against Eric but you…" he smirked as he logged into his account. Sun Nan was aggravated as he took the cushion beside him and threw it to Lu Fei. His tantrum made Eric Wu who was now standing, laughed. He shook his head seeing the rage of Sun Nan. This was the reason why he often lost. He was too impatient.

"President!" 

Eric Wu was startled when he heard Tao's scream from outside the room. He looked at the door and soon Tao appeared, panting heavily with a handphone in his right hand. Eric Wu walked to him and offered a glass of water.

"Drink," he instructed, and Tao thankfully took his offer. After calming down, he held his hand that was holding the phone and said: "Miss Bella is calling you…" he showed the screen showing Bella Lim's name. 

Eric Wu took the phone. He looked at Tao who was sweaty all over. Why must he run just for a phone call?

"Next time don't torture yourself. We can always call back," he educated him.

Tao had an awkward smile on his face as he nodded in embarrassment. He thought that Bella Lim was important to the president, therefore when he saw she was calling, he rushed over.

Eric Wu was no longer paying attention to Tao as he stared at his phone screen. He wondered if Bella Lim got lost along her way to his villa.

"Miss Bella?" he asked once he answered the call.

Instead of a greeting, he heard a breathy, panicky voice asking for a password of the speed limiter that was installed on her motorbike.

He thought Bella Lim was familiarizing herself with the motorbike, but when he heard her almost hysterical plea, his instinct told him that she could be in a bad predicament. He quickly told her the password.

He decided to end the phone call, but the bad premonition in his heart kept on building up questions inside his mind.

If Bella Lim wanted to reach the villa in a shorter duration, 60 mph was already fast. Why? 

Besides that, she even yelled at him for being two seconds late in giving the password. Why? Amazingly, she didn't stutter… how?

Was his intuition correct?

"Tao, go and take my laptop. Now!" Eric Wu instructed. Tao was startled but immediately ran towards the study room. 

Eric Wu went to the screen where the battle between Lu Fei and Sun Nan was broadcasted. Without explaining anything, he removed the wire that connected the video game console to the screen.

"F.u.c.k bro!"

"Eric!"

Two voices united to go against him. Sun Nan and Lu Fei were ready to lash out when they saw Tao ran inside the room, panting heavily. Sweats were seen dripping in his forehead.

"W-what is it?" they both looked at each other before staring at Tao and Eric Wu who wasn't giving them the explanation they curiously needed.

All of a sudden, they saw the black screen in front of them light up showing different video feeds. Seeing the familiar places shown on each feed, Lu Fei and Sun Nan realized that what they were seeing was the live feeds recorded by the CCTVs installed all over Eric Wu's property. 

Still, they were wondering why he suddenly became interested in those feeds. They thought someone had illegally entered his property, but he had enough staff to take care of things as trivial as that.

Only when they saw Bella Lim's image did they realized the purpose behind the unexplained actions. The live feed where Bella Lim's was riding a motorbike was enlarged. They saw a black car was chasing after her.

"This…" Sun Nan and Lu Fei couldn't believe their eyes. Someone was trying to harm their friend!

"Lu Fei, Sun Nan I leave this room to you. Tao, call the security department and tell them to send patrolling cars at the main gate," Eric Wu spoke with an aggrieved tone. He had seen the severity of the situation and know that Bella Lim and her little brother's life was in danger. Thankfully, he didn't remove the GPS in Bella Lim's motorbike or else, he wouldn't know that someone was trying to harm one of his people inside his territory! What gut!

"Will she be okay?" Lu Fei held onto Eric Wu's hand who was about to leave. 

"Don't worry," Eric Wu answered. Lu Fei nodded once and pulled Sun Nan who wanted to ask many questions to Eric Wu. 

Lu Fei watched Eric Wu left the room. When he looked into his eyes just now, he could feel the chills hidden behind his brownish eyes. This man… the calmer he gets, the scarier he would be. Lu Fei knew that Eric Wu could handle the people that were trying to harm Bella Lim and his little brother.

"Lu Fei…" Sun Nan had a painful look at him. He must be dying to know what was happening. However, Lu Fei simply told him to watch the screen.

Meanwhile, Eric Wu rushed to the ground floor. This was the garage where he kept all kinds of vehicles for his convenience. He ran towards a red motorbike and pushed on the button on the pillar next to it. The wall opposite him slowly revealed a tunnel. This tunnel would lead him to the closest area where Bella Lim was at right now. 

The red motorbike rode the tunnel at a fast speed, reaching the main road in a blink of an eye.

"President, I've contacted the security department. Two cars are waiting at the main gate with four personnel. Should I send one from the villa?" Eric Wu heard someone was communicating with him via the Bluetooth speaker in his left ear. That was Tao's voice.

"No need. I'll handle this person. Tao searched for information on the black car," he said.

"President. The CCTV feeds didn't catch the car's plate number," Tao anxiously answered.

"Don't worry. I'll give you the info," Eric Wu responded. Then, he switched the phone call to the one with Bella Lim. He hadn't disconnected their phone call yet. Thankfully, Bella Lim was the same. He heard her cursed.

"Miss Bella, do you see the plate number of the car that was following you?" he ignored the vulgarity of her words and asked. He waited but the woman was probably occupied by something. He insisted, rushing her to answer. Only then, he heard her voice vocalizing the plate number. She sounded a little bit surprised.

When he got the information he needed, Eric Wu switched the ongoing phone call he had with Bella Lim to the one he had with Tao. He told him the plate number he just acquired. As soon as he finished telling him that, he finally caught up to the black car that was chasing after Bella Lim.

Eric Wu stared at the black car with bloodshot eyes. He hated people who invaded his place. These people thought they could do anything they wished. Dream on! 

He saw a man was holding a gun and from the way, he saw it, it was clear that the man's target was Bella Lim and not her little brother. Seeing this, Eric Wu smiled as he also took out a gun that he kept at one of the secret compartments in his red Escaper 117.

"Miss Bella, ready to speed up. I'll cover you," he knew that the limiter countdown would end in a few seconds. He reminded Bella Lim.

"Now!" he said. He was ready to shoot at the black car to give them enough distraction so that Bella Lim could escape, however, when he saw the deadly turn up ahead, he gulped. This woman wouldn't be able to escape. She needed to slow down or else, their life would be in danger.
