Miss Ordinary: I Was Reborn To Love You!

Bella Lim shivered at the thought. In that moment of despair, she recalled her little pumpkin. If something were to happen to her, who would take care of her precious pumpkin?

Yet, she didn't regret her decision to come to this place. The only thing she regretted was her rashness. She should have planned things thoroughly! Or she should act like a lunatic person to attract Eric Wu's attention to her.

However, it's too late to lock the stable door after the horse had been stolen! There was no used to cry over spilled milk.

Suddenly, she noticed that a hand was pulling the door. Anytime now and she would be exposed…

Would this be the end?

Bella Lim felt devastated when suddenly…

The whole room was covered in darkness!

A miracle!

Bella Lim took this opportunity to ran forward. Knowing that her running trajectory had no obstacle, she ran without any hesitation until she stumbled upon a sofa. Thank god, she reached her target!

Quickly, she hid at the tiny space behind the sofa and once again, she experienced another torturous stretching. This time, it was her waist that needed to bend to almost 90 degrees so that her head would not pop out at the other end of the sofa.

Bella Lim could only be patience! 

In the nick of time she managed to hide, the room brightened up. She heard Karen Yang was scolding someone. That person was probably the one she had instructed to switch on all the lamps.

Whatever at least I'm still alive. I can still think of a plan.

Bella Lim was rejoicing when suddenly she heard few footsteps were heading to her direction.

Oh my god! Did they know about me? She could only lament on her bad luck.

For the first time ever, Bella Lim cursed: F*ck!

"Let him sit here!" Karen Yang's voice again. Then, there was a thud sound. Someone was 'thrown' to the sofa.

'Painful!' Bella almost screamed in pain. The moment she heard the thud sound, simultaneously, she felt her head crashed on the concrete wall. However, she willed her heart to ignore the pain because right now, she could hear faint breathing of a man. 

And a scent familiar to her seeped into her nose. 

Eric Wu!

Bella Lim was delighted! She was confident with her smelling sense and was affirmative that this masculine yet calming scent belonged to the man that once had saved her from despair.

Brimmed with happiness, she was about to call for the man when she felt a strong force was dragging her out from her hiding spot!

F*cking sh*t!

She was discovered!

"A kitty playing hide and seek," 

Bella Lim heard that mocking voice. She opened her eyes and realized that she was surrounded by all the people inside the room.

Not far from her was a man in a crouching position. He was wearing a mask but the eyes that contained pure evil managed to trigger the feeling of fear inside her heart. Next to him was Karen Yang who was looking at her with a sinister smile.

"Indeed darling. Fancy meeting you again Miss Kylie," Karen Yang snickered. Her face was similar to a villain in many ancient films she had watched. Their countenance appeared arrogant and eyes contained cruelty.

Bella Lim instinctively moved back only to notice that she had nowhere else to run. 

This was it.

This was indeed a mission impossible. A catastrophe.

Her intention was simply to prevent him from getting harm, but looking at the situation at the moment, she knew she had failed.

"Hey,"

Suddenly, she heard a weak whisper from behind.

Eric Wu! 

Bella Lim felt like she was given a direction. She turned around and saw a man was lying on the sofa. His closed eyes slowly opened to reveal a pair of brown eyes.

Bella Lim gasped when the man stared at her as if trying to read her mind. This man, even in his weakened state definitely caused others to feel intimidated.

"Are-are you okay?" she asked while stuttering. Inside her mind, Bella Lim was frantic. She had never fantasized about a scene where they both would see face to face in such a close distance and talking. She had no idea how to proceed with the conversation. Instead, she immediately made a thorough check on the man's body.

"Mr. Eric, can-can you hear me?" she asked. Stuttering again. Beads of sweat began to form on her forehead. She looked at the man's pale lips. His once-majestic aura had faded but the moment she stared into his eyes; she knew this man's will to live was very strong.

Good, at least he hadn't given up on life!

"That was quite a place to hide," she heard a soft chuckle left his lips.

Damn, he had the nerve to make fun of her! Bella Lim pretended to be deaf as she focused to observe any kind of injuries on his body.

"Who are you?" 

Bella Lim's hand froze mid-air when she heard his question.

"I-" 

I'm your stalker… she wanted to reply like so but decided against it.

"I'm a friend," she answered.

And the moment she said that Eric Wu suddenly began to vomit blood. His pale face was now almost green in color. Bella Lim knew that he had been poisoned!

"You're poisoned!" she screamed in shock and right at that moment, she swept a look onto the faces behind her.

"Despicable!" she said.

The moment the word was spoken she noticed that some people immediately retreated. Both the man in a mask and Karen Yang was frowning as they looked at her.

She had no idea why but for a while there she noticed a momentary fear in their eyes. However, when she saw the gun held by the man with a mask, she realized that these people should have nothing to fear.

Instead, it should be her!

"What's your name?" 

Bella Lim's face twitched when she heard the stubbornness in the man's voice. What's the used of talking now?

"We are going to die soon. No used to be cautious," Bella Lim felt a chill after listening to another remark from Eric Wu.

This man, why was he so calm?

"Where are your people?" she asked.

Bella Lim felt that the man was indeed speaking the truth. The reality was that they were only two people whereas the enemies were many. Plus, they were equipped with weapons.

Then, she saw him shook his head. She could see the feeling of disdain in his eyes. Seeing him reacted so, a question kept ringing in her head.

How did the almighty Eric Wu fall into these people's hands?

She refused to believe that it was because of Karen Yang's seduction. There must be something bigger than that!

Seeing the blood that kept being vomited by the man on the sofa, Bella Lim felt a pang of pain in her core. She tore a part of her dress to wipe the blood that smeared his handsome face.

"You once said to me: If you want to die, you must die without regret. Now that we're about to die, do you have any regret?"

Bella Lim wasn't looking at the man but she knew his eyes were on her. When she looked up, she met the man's inquisitive gaze.

"I have a lot of regrets. You?"

Bella Lim was startled when the question went back to her.

"My little pumpkin...and the fact that I couldn't save you," she honestly said as her countenance became dismal.

"Sorry,"

Bella Lim saw her hand that was holding on the piece of cloth was held by Eric Wu's right hand. A rush of unparalleled warmth filled her entire body. This was the warmth that safeguarded her from her enemies once.

Right now, Bella Lim was suffering turbulence in her emotions. She should be feeling ecstatic, but the fact that this could be the last time for her to feel this warmth... she was dejected.

"What's your name?" she heard him asked. His voice was becoming weaker.

"Kylie…"

"Real name," 

"Bella Lim," she finally revealed her name. At least, she could die contented because the man he loved and admired knew her name.

"Bella Lim? Tsk, such a beautiful name but sorry not sorry. Today you have to die!" 

Bella Lim heard a man's voice, but she knew it didn't belong to Eric Wu. That was when she felt a cold sensation at the back of her head.

1 second…

2 seconds…

Bang!

"Little pumpkin…" she whispered as her head fell onto Eric Wu's c.h.e.s.t. Their gazes met and as if talking a thousand conversation, both were smiling as their eyes closed.

"Sorry…" she muttered.

And just like that, Bella Lim breathed her last.
