"ha ha ha!!" I burst out into laughter. Although i knew the truth of the situation, I still couldn't to help but laughing after seeing it first-hand. Not just from the third person perspective as a reader of the books, I also got to know this guy up close as a friend for the last couple years. That's why I can't help but burst out laughing.

So it is her huh. F.u.c.k, I guess the gears of fate really aren't that easy to put a halt to. well no. I guess this is true. things like gods exist, so it stands to reason that illusionary things like Fate exists. Even if everything is not completely the same, the general outline is.

"what are these?" he asked

"Good luck charms" I quickly responded. Then, looking him straight in the eyes i activate a magic and started glowing.

"Make me a promise, you will not lose these. You keep them on you at all points in time while you're on your date. Do not lose them. do I make myself clear?"

".. Yes.." he answered in a daze.

"Good"

I slapped him on his back and sent him on his way.

"And make sure to enjoy yourself thoroughly today. Don't forget to squeeze every bit of fun out of it."

Watching that "pure-hearted" boy run off to his fate I sighed.

"I really am a bad person. Sending my friend off to his death"

I'll make sure to apologize to him properly later.

"Is he gone?" Rias appeared from the shadows.

"well, if anything, mine and yours summoning circle are on him. they're both set to automatically activate once his life is in danger."

"You know, in hindsight I feel like I would have just been easier to just tell him what's going on. if it's him, getting him to join us would be that relatively easy" a ridiculous thought flows to my head.

"Yeah, you're right. guess it's too late now. great, now I'm starting to feel like a bad person too" she says. "we just have to be there in case anything goes wrong"

----- later that day at sunset.

As if by Divine Providence, the wheels of fate begin to turn.

In the occult research club, before me and rias and the rest of the members, two summoning circles appear. Yes two. one for her and one for me. there's also one destination they lead to.

With a premeditated action, we step into the circle and disappear.

And at the destination, two people.

--one floating angel with black wings.

--one boy trying his best to survive.
