3636 The Tide I

Puch!

The fifth went still, and I pulled it, in my core, before turning to nines, which were coming at me from all sides.

However, I only had the eyes for one.

It is the first High-Peak critter, I had come across. It looked nothing special, even its size was normal, but even without sensing its power, one could tell that this one was powerful, seeing how the others were moving in its lead.

I looked at it, before running toward it, with a smile on my face.

I wanted to fight critters of its level, not only because I wanted to fight it, but also because of the growth energy, it could provide me.

In ruins, I was able to fight against many, Peak- Earth Sovereigns, and thus a few of my plants have reached that level, but here there are more of them, and I want to kill as many of them as possible and gain more growth energy.

I appeared in front of it and attacked. It countered immediately.

CLANG!

My rapier clashed against it, and it shook, before attacking me again, which I had dodged, along with the attacks of the four more critters.

Puch!

I disappeared and appeared behind; the one on the left and plunged my sword into it, before pulling it inside me.

Trrrr Trrrrr Trrrrrr

As I did, it appeared beside me with chaotic rage burning in its eyes as it attacked.

CLANG!

Once again, my sword clashed with its limbs and I disappeared, dodging the attacks of its minions.

Puch!

I appeared in front of another and put my sword into it. I pulled it to my core, before moving to defend against the attack.

CLANG Puch CLANG Puch…

One by one, I killed its kin and defended against its attack, while it could only watch.

It is making me angry, and it is using all its strength to attack me, but they are not enough. It might be powerful, but it will need to be more if it wants to just shake me.

Puch!

I killed the sixteenth, leaving only it alive.

There were only nine at first, but more came as we fought. Even now, they are coming, and just two and half seconds, before seven more reached us.

Trrrrr!

"I thought, you would be stronger, but unfortunately, you are not!" I said and attacked it. It seemed to realize this was the last chance as it screamed loudly and attacked me with everything it had.

It was able to pull out a strong attack, surprising even me, but sadly, it was not enough for it to survive.

Puch!

My sword pierced through its eyes and sent the massive energies inside before pulling it into my core.

It was powerful, but not the most powerful in the Earth Sovereigns. There are critters more powerful than it, and I had sensed four, but all of them have to be killed by the Sky Sovereigns.

It is a little disappointing, but the chance isn't gone.

The queen is pulling all the critters patrolling outside the forest toward us. It is a massive number, and we will need to keep killing them if we want to survive.

Puch Puch Puch

I moved toward the seven and killed them one after another, before moving toward the other Earth Sovereigns.

It is a good thing; I have provided them with the solution, or they would have writhing in pain, with eggs of critters inside them.

Five of them are already injured, all the cultists. Our members are much stronger and more experienced, but even they are feeling the pressure.

Puch Puch Puch!

I reached where the group of cultists were fighting and killed the critters, before moving ahead toward another group.

They begin to drink potions and apply the ointment; with the time they have. They had less than ten seconds before another group came at them.

I continued to move fast, killing every critter I would come across in a single move, and this time, I have taken help from my clones.

They have studied the critters well, and every battle gives them more data. Thus, helping to find a correct move and a place to attack them.

Puch!

I killed the High-Peak Sovereign in a single move toward another.

Minutes passed, and I had killed hundreds of critters. So much that their bodies would have littered the area around the seedling of the world tree, but didn't.

There are only two critters, and they will get consumed in the next three seconds.

The carcass of the hive queens had helped the seedling immensely. It increased its power as well as its size, that now the roots have become much thicker than before and could consume any critter in less than ten seconds.

They could consume tens of them at the same time, with the number of roots I have.

This is also giving me an incredible amount of growth energy like I had never received before. I have never killed the bloodline in the numbers, that I am killing the critters now.

The tremendous growth of energy is helping me grow the plants at such a rate, that formation alone isn't enough to manage it and I needed to use two of my clones.

I am not just planting and growing the resources, but also harvesting a huge amount of them.

Before coming here, I had a huge number of resources, but I am spending them at an incredible rate too. I needed them for my practice, but also for the alchemy and the experiments I do.

All of which require a lot of resources.

Now, in the core, they are popping up like popcorn, filling the repository at a speed, I had never seen before.

I wanted to continue watching such beautiful scenes, but I needed to kill the critters, without it, it would stop.

Another minute had passed, and I killed more critters.

Hun!

I was fighting when suddenly, I saw a huge Sky Sovereign critter coming from behind, while the Sky Sovereigns were fighting the front.

It is angry with vengeance in its eyes, and nobody is its match. It won't take more than a single attack to finish me off.

I was worrying about it when a blue lance of energy came down elliptically and burrowed itself into the skull of the Sky Sovereign critter.

Seeing that, I couldn't help, but take a sigh of relief.

With that, I once again focused completely on killing the critters, but it seemed like, no matter how much I killed, they kept coming endlessly.

Their numbers seemed to be increasing over time.

'It seemed like, the pillars have failed,' I thought.

We have covered the entire forest in three layers of pillars, but it is clear by seeing the critters that the queen had somehow been able to bypass it.

Calling the critters all over to kill us.

It was a good thing, that we had killed all the sub-hives. If there had been a single that had remained standing, we would have had a huge trouble in our hands.

The massive horde would have come down on us, and we would have been no match. The sheer number of them would have worn us down.

The pillars might have not worked as they were intended, but my rubies seemed to be doing that. They have already reached the position and started on their tasks.

It is an extremely important task, and our survival depends on it.

If the rubies achieved it, we would be much safer, but if they didn't, then we would need to take the risk, which could make a lot of us die. Especially us, Earth Sovereigns. We are ants in front of the hive queen.

In the sky, the battle between the hive queen and Orina is going intense.

It is affecting the whole pod; there are earthquakes everywhere, and storms. If the battle continued for an hour or more, then even spatial rifts would begin to appear.

The pods are made to last long, they are not that strong.

Even a hint of Prime's aura appeared in here, could collapse the whole pod. That would kill us all, including the queen.

I only glanced at the battle before focusing on the battle.

Another minute passed, and I started to use the targeted long-range attacks. These attacks work only on Initial-Mid Earth Sovereign, and I am targeting only them.

Half of them would die, and only half would remain alive for me to get growth energy from them.

I didn't like to do it, but the number of the critters had increased so much that I had no choice but to do it. If I didn't, people will die.

Hun!

A few more minutes passed when suddenly, my eyes widened; not only mine but also of the Sky Sovereigns and all of us, turned to the west.

There is a huge dust cloud, and in front of the dust clouds are critters in huge numbers.

"Fuck!" I couldn't help but curse seeing that.
