3638 The Tide III

Trrrr Trrrr Trrrr

The critters screamed and descended on us, with such numbers, that even I begin to feel worried about my survival.

Burst 90%.

Though, I am worried, but didn't back down and instead moved forward, with the power of the burst roaring inside me.

As I moved, six foggy limbs came out of my back; each holding a spear in them.

They are limbs made of strings; the fog is just a cover. It won't be the first time I will use this move and I want to look as different as possible.

I will be using it with other personas too.

I am glad, that I am not the only one using such a move. There is one other person using this move, and he has brought twelve steel limbs. I would have done that too, but with the strings, I have, six is the perfect number in which I could use the greater strength.

If I use more; their power will be diluted and I don't want that, where there are really powerful critters present here.

Puch Puch Puch!

I appeared in front of the critters and attacked. My rapier had directly entered into the head of the critter.

At the same time, six spears also entered the eyes of six critters and moved toward a different target, like I did.

Unlike my own limbs, these six could extend quite further and strong enough to bear the attack from even the sharp limbs of the critters.

In less than five seconds, I had killed over a hundred critters and pulled them into my core.

I had thought that when a critter appeared in front of me and attacked. It was a fast attack, faster than any attack I had experienced so far, that I had to move my sword in defense against it.

CLANNNG CLANNNG Puch…

My rapier clashed against its limbs while avoiding the other, at the same time, one of my foggy limbs defended against just a powerful attack, while four had killed the critters and moved to kill others.

I looked at the critter in front of me; it was the biggest I had ever faced. It is also the strongest I have faced.

It is Peak Earth-Sovereign; this is the first critter, whose power isn't between the two levels but fixed in one.

Burst 100%.

"I have been waiting," I said with a grin and attacked.

It is powerful, but if I had fought it with enough, I would have been able to defeat it with 90%, but given the sheer number of critters around me; that is not advisable.

I need to kill them as fast as I can, or I will be swarmed. Even now, I can sense the hundreds are moving toward me. Among here are over ten in them that have the power, like these two critters.

So, I need to finish them as quickly as possible.

CLANNG CLANNG Puch…

I attacked, and they defended, but at least the other five had been able to stop the critters. The two were able to stop the foggy limbs, but they were fast and maneuverable, they killed the critters they were targeting.

I attacked, and they defended, while also killing the other critters with the five limbs.

It continued for three seconds, before another peak Earth-Sovereign critter joined. A Second after another and one and a half seconds later, three more.

If that wasn't enough, four more joined two seconds later.

Now, I am fighting against twelve Peak-Earth Sovereign critters, with seven limbs. The battle is harder than I had thought, I am using every move and power, and I have to fight against them, including my clones.

These bastards have boxed me and attacked me from all sides, leaving me barely any space for maneuvering.

As for escape, I could forget about it.

Hun!

A few more seconds passed, and the first death occurred. An Earth Sovereigns cultists have died; torn to shreds by the critters.

At least he had drunk the black potion..

With his, his body won't be desecrated. They wouldn't even use his body to lay the eggs or even eat them.

It is the first death, and it won't be the last if we don't finish these critters quickly enough.

Hun!

I had just thought, when another Peak-Sovereign critter joined the battle. Taking their numbers to thirteen.

Every second, hundreds of sharp limbs came at me, with many passing by me with less than an inch of difference.

I have only seven limbs and I am against the storm of blades, where a single one of them, could cut me apart, like a hot knife through the butter.

Slice!

I was thinking about that when I received the first injury across my chest. I had also felt its blade drop, a few drops filled with thousands of eggs, but as they entered inside me, they died.

A moment after the first injury, I received another two, one on my back and the other on my leg.

The one on the leg had reached my bone.

These injuries are hurting like hell. The black solution protects the eggs, but when it deals with eggs, it causes massive pain.

A few more seconds passed, and I kept defending, getting more and more injuries across my body. If they were not healing as fast as they were, my body would have been painted red.

There isn't a single part where they haven't yet attacked, including my face.

These bastards are learning my combat style quickly and attacking accordingly. It is making more and more of their attacks land on me every passing second.

Hun!

Nearly one minute and one second after the fight began, the second person died. She was Earth-Sovereign; the critters tore her into the shreds, cut her into thousands of pieces, like the person before her.

Every person is important in the battle, and with each death, the pressure on others is increasing.

Even though I am under extreme pressure; I am fighting against the sixteen Peak Earth-Sovereign critters.

The numbers will increase even further. If I didn't kill them, soon enough.

Three seconds later, the seventeen critters joined, making things even harder for me. For a moment, I wanted to escape, but I buried that thought and continued fighting again.

Seconds passed when something had changed about me. My limbs suddenly got faster and stronger.

Their movement became hard to track, and they seemed everywhere.

Puch Puch Puch

The critters sensed the danger, and some retreated, but it was already late. The foggy limbs avoided the blades of the critters and pierced through their heads, pouring massive energies inside.

They came out just as quickly and moved toward the other critters, and pierced into their heads too.

Once they came out and pierced into the heads of the last group, kill them like the ones before them.

The minute and a half went to study them; I tested many things and, along with data; I had created the attack with my clones.

It worked perfectly.

These critters are not Grimm; they might be intelligent, but they can't think critically. If the Grimms of such power had attacked me; it would have taken me much longer than the critters I killed critters right now.
