My Hero Academia - Saiyaman

After the tests ended, I briefly talked to some of my classmates and started to befriend them. I gave Midoriya a few more encouraging words before Mina and I walked towards Kirishima to talk about his new style.

Obviously, Mina was very surprised by his change and already wanted to ask him about it at the beginning of the class. But because we had to quickly assemble for the tests, she didn't have the chance to do so.

While talking with Kirishima, he openly admitted to us that Mina was one of the reasons for his change. Her outgoing nature and strong personality had made him self-conscious of his own appearance and personality.

This then had worsened during the incident with Gigantomachia, and when he had found himself unable to stand up against a figure who was threatening fellow students of his school.

This incident left Kirishima feeling wholly incapable of being a hero primarily due to his hesitation in risking his life to save others.

Afterwards, Kirishima had accidentally came across an old holographic projector depicting an interview with 'Crimson Riot' at his home.

The words of his idol which had already once inspired him before, had again inspired him to keep following his dream of attending U.A. High School and becoming a hero.

And this had given him the last push in becoming braver and more confident in himself in order to achieve his goals.

Hearing his story, Mina was simply happy that he had found what he wanted to do and what he wanted to become.

At the same time, she also told him to take it easy and let the change happen naturally, and that he should tell her once he became truly sure of his new persona.

I also congratulated him and told him that he could always come to us, if he ever needed someone to talk with.

Kirishima gratefully nodded in acknowledgement and thanked us two for our words.

Shortly after, we parted ways and went back home. The first day of school had finally ended and I already couldn't wait for the next day to start.

- On the next day -

After a good sleep, it was already time for the second day of school. The classes in the morning were really not that exciting.

First, we had normal lessons for all the required subjects, which was super boring.

Then at noon, we gathered for lunch at the main cafeteria where we could buy gourmet food for reasonable prices.

And afterwards, in the afternoon, we finally had 'Hero Basic Training', the class we were the most excited about today.

We were currently sitting inside the classroom, waiting for the teacher to arrive.

My seat was the one on the fourth row, in between Yaoyorozu's and Midoriya's seats, with the former behind and the latter in front of me.

"I AM.."

"..COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON." suddenly the door opened and All Might arrived in a weird pose.

"Wooahh!"

"It's All Might!"

"Wow, he really is a teacher here."

"Thats's a costume from the Silver Age, isn't it?"

"Its style is so different, it's giving me goosebumps."

The class had quickly become noisy with the appearance of All Might.

What I had only noticed now though, and what seemed to be just absurd to me, was the fact that you couldn't see All Might's freaking eyes..

Like what the hell!

I had never really focused on this fact, so I had only noticed it now, now that he was standing in front of me as my teacher.

I thought it would be different since this world was real, and you normally should be able to see his eyes, right?

But, this was not the case here.

I guess, this was kind of a weird phenomenon of the world which was making this happen..

"I teach Hero Basic Training. For this class, we'll be building up your hero foundation through various trials. You'll get tons of credit for it!"

"Let's jump right into it! This is what we'll do today – Battle Trial!" All Might started his class.

"Battle.. Trial!" the class quickly became excited at these words.

"Yes! And to go with that are these 'Hero Costumes' made based on your Quirk registration and requests you sent in before the school started!" All Might pointed towards his right side.

Suddenly, the wall he pointed at opened up in several rows with many cases, in which our Hero Costumes were contained in.

"After you change, gather in 'Ground Beta'! The garb you bring into the battlefield is vitally important, boys and girls! And don't forget!! From here on out, you're all officially heroes!" All Might said grandly.

All of us grinned at the last words of All Might.

We quickly went to the changing room to change into our battle gear.

And after approximately ten minutes, we arrived at Ground Beta which was located at the same location as the battle center in the entrance exam.

There was a variety of hero costumes present. Everyone had their own unique outfit that suited their Quirks the best.

However, despite that, the majority of the eyes were on me and my outfit.

Not to sound narcissistic or something, but I looked really cool. The outfit I was wearing was nearly exactly the same as the one 'Xeno Goku' from 'Dragon Ball Heroes' wore.

A black form-fitting short-sleeved shirt, black pants with black kung fu shoes and grey stockings that looked like bandages and almost went up to my shin. A flowing red vest with a long backside that was secured with a grey obi tied over it at my waist, and black armbands on my wrists.

And last but not least, the symbol of the 'Saiyans' was imprinted on the back of my outfit. And even though, I was aware that it was rather the symbol for the Royal Family, I still chose it, simply because I kinda liked it.

Coupled with my tall and handsome appearance, I was more or less unintentionally overshadowing the other students' entrances.

This hero costume was not designed with the help of U.A. High. I had this fixed design in mind for a long time already, hence, a short time ago, my parents had used their connections to get it done for me at an earlier time.

It seemed that the ones who had helped me with the costume were acquaintances of my parents who were stationed at the artificial moving island, 'I-Island' – home of thousands of scientists.

Anyway, aside from that, I must admit that Midoriya's current hero costume looked really lame. I had to try really hard to hold back my laughter when I saw him wearing this tracksuit-like costume, whose form clearly intended to resemble All Might.

And even All Might seemed to be holding back his laughter as well, after realizing that Midoriya's costume was trying to copy his own appearance.

After that, All Might stated that the Battle Trial will be an indoor battle.

The rules were fairly simple. We will be split into villain and hero groups for a two-on-two battle. The villain had to guard the nuclear weapon they intended on deploying, and the heroes had to stop their scheme.

If the heroes managed to capture the villains or reach the nuclear core before the time ran out, they win; if the villains managed to keep the nuclear core for the whole time or capture the heroes, they win.

The pairing would be decided by lottery.

Coincidentally or not, I had simply taken the spot of Mineta once again, and got paired up with Yaoyorozu, while all the other pairings stayed the same as in the original story.

I was getting more and more confused as to why, despite my influence, many things would somehow stay the same.

Maybe the author was too lazy to change that? I couldn't possibly know..

The first battle was between Midoriya and Uraraka as the hero group, and Bakugo and Iida as the villain group. These two groups made their way into the building where the trial would be held, while we'll be watching through the cameras in the surveillance room.

It also didn't really take that long for the battle to start.

The first battle was really heated and climatic.

These two childhood friends had a very fierce fight. Specifically Bakugo who had lost his cool right at the beginning of the battle and seriously tried to injure Midoriya, which had almost forced All Might to stop the battle prem.a.t.u.r.ely.

However, despite all of that, the hero team had come up with a good strategy and used the terrain to their advantage, thus ultimately managing to secure the win at the end, albeit with Midoriya getting heavily injured as a result.

Hence, Midoriya had to visit the Nurse's Office right after the end of the battle.

After the fight, All Might announced that Iida was the MVP of the match, and then he posed the question as to why was that so to all of us.

It was Yaoyorozu who had correctly replied to this question, commenting that Bakugo and Midoriya having used wide-area attacks in an indoor area was too idiotic, and that Uraraka's last attack, as well as having let her guard down halfway through the battle was too reckless.

In her opinion, Iida was the best in this match because he had adapted to the situation the most, as well as prepared and developed a good counterstrategy for his opponent.

While Yaoyorozu exemplarily gave her explanation, my eyes couldn't help but occasionally move towards her c.h.e.s.t area.

I mean, damn..

Although she was only 15 years old, but those assets of hers were really impressive. Not to mention that she was kinda a low-key exhibitionist, who had to reveal most of her upper body due to her Quirk.

Anyway, with the first heated battle finished, it was now time for the second round. The hero team here consisted of Todoroki and Shoji while Ojiro and Hagakure were in the villain team.

This battle wasn't really suspenseful due to the hero team having simply overwhelmed the villains with their strength, or should I say Todoroki's strength?

First, Todoroki used his ice ability to freeze the whole building, even managing to restrict the movements of Ojiro and Hagakure with it. Then, the hero team directly went to the location of the objective and easily defeated the villain team.

All in all, this was not even a fight and everyone inside the surveillance room could see it. This was the first time Todoroki had shown his impressive capability, and the others were clearly shocked by it.

Moving on, after another battle between Tokoyami and Asui as the hero team and Kirishima and Sero as the villain team, it was finally time for me to fight.

Yaoyorozu and I were the villains and our opponents were Kaminari and Jiro.

We were currently standing next to the objective, discussing our strategy for the upcoming fight. We had five minutes of preparation time before the hero team was allowed to start their attack.

"Jiro seems to have a sound-related Quirk if I'm not wrong. So, the first thing they would do, is probably to find our positions and either lure either of us away or directly move to the objective and secure the nuclear weapon." I said to Yaoyorozu.

"Indeed. I don't think they will try to confront you head-on, since they must know that there's a high chance that they would lose by doing so. If you move out alone to confront them, they will probably try to avoid you with Jiro-san's Quirk and instead, like you've said, directly move to the objective."

"And if I'm alone against the two, I won't be able to both fight, and at the same time, prevent them from touching the objective-desuwa~. Likewise, when I move alone, they will definitely try to deal with me first before then confronting you together." concluded Yaoyorozu.

I nodded approvingly at her analysis and praised her inwardly for her intelligence. I, too, found it to be the most likely strategy they would employ for this match.

"Since that's the case, let's just simply wait for them here in this room. They sooner or later have to come to us. And also, one of my abilities allows me to sense their presences, so we will know when and if they are near the objective. We should come up with some traps since we would have the advantage then." I came up with a simple but effective plan.

She was shocked hearing that I even had a detection ability.

"Incredible. What exactly is your Quirk, Jin-san? From Ashido-san, we came to know that you somehow can manipulate some sort of energy to use it for various actions, but I still don't know how that is possible, seeing the variety of all of your techniques-desuwa~."

"Ah, I have to apologize for not having directly asked you personally about it, and instead having approached Ashido-san for this information." Yaoyorozu apologized to me while also asking about the specifics of my Quirk.

"Don't worry, I don't mind. Well, it is basically as Mina has said. There is a certain type of energy that is in the environment and in my body. I called this energy 'Ki'. I can use this so-called Ki to manipulate it into an attack or use it to defend myself by surrounding my body with this energy, like a layer so to speak."

"Additionally, I can do something like applying this energy onto the soles of my feet, which allows me to lift myself off from the ground and make myself able to fly. I have to constantly balance the energy on my feet though, so that I won't fall." I answered her question and patiently explained her some of my abilities.

"And by the way, you don't have to be so formal with me. You can just call me Jayden." I slightly smiled at her.

It took her a few seconds to fully digest the information I had just given her. Although Mina had vaguely explained it to her and the others already, it was still shocking to her, nonetheless, after hearing it from me personally.

And after hearing me telling her to not be so formal with me, she simply agreed to it and asked me to do the same, "Oh, okay. Then you should also call me by first name, Jayden-kun."

"Good, Momo. Let's do this!" I naturally accepted her proposition.

Shortly after, we prepared ourselves for the upcoming battle.

The fight was about to start..
