My League Of Villains

The League's hideout wasn't exactly what he was expecting. It was more of a run down bar than the center of operations of one of the most feared organisations in today's society. Low budget was more of a villain than the villains themselves. But he didn't completely dislike it. It had a somewhat cozy feeling to it, it felt more "true". What didn't feel real at all was the scene in front of him. The Hero Killer was pinning down Shigaraki with his swords while he was sitting on Kurogiri's back with a knife pointed at his side.

"In order to accomplish anything, you need a creed... a mind! That those weaklings, who lack them both, are culled is only natural. That is why you'll die."

Kurogiri struggled but the blade on his side swiftly twirled and pointed at his left eye, stopping just a few centimeters before it.

"One more movement and you become a pirate ghost."

Midoriya was aware that they weren't in an advantageous position but in a stalemate. This could end way worse than he first imagined. He looked up, but Stain was still in a preaching mood.

"The word hero has lost all meaning! In this society overrun by fakes even criminals who are just aimlessly scattering around their power become targets for purges..."

His breathing got heavier and he slowly moved his sword towards Shigaraki's neck, who suddenly became more restless. His hand shot up to grab the blade, which started to crumble.

"Just, Just wait a sec... This palm... You can't. I'LL KILL YOU."

What could he expect from someone who was wearing human hands. He was more worried of any harm done to the palm on his face than his own life. Midoriya was disappointed to know he was right from the beginning. The League was just a bunch of crazy people and Shigaraki was just the Crazy in Chief. Luckily for him, that made the fog man under him calm down a bit.

"You're awfully talkative... a conviction? A creed? I ain't got anything so dramatic... It's All Might. I wanna crush the society where that trash is set up so high and mighty... TO THE GODDAMN GROUND! THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING!"

Midoriya's eyes were now glued to the man. He was crazy, but those last words resonated with him. To crush society, to crush All Might... it didn't sound so bad. He thought about all the things that changed in him since he first met All Might. About how he came to hate the hypocrisy which surrounded him everyday, everywhere, and how he was an hypocrite himself. It was strange. The more time he passed with villains, the more he discovred to have in common with them. His ideals changed from saving people at all costs to eliminate evil at all costs. But what was evil, in the end? He didn't know anymore. It was like the clock went in reverse and brought him back to that roof, when the Symbol of Peace told him he wasn't good enough to be a hero. He always hated that part of himself. The insecurity and doubts. He wanted to be free. It was time to stop asking himself why.

"So that's what you're about... It seems our goal lie at polar opposites... but destroying today's society is the one point we have in common..."

Shigaraki was visibly confused. Midoriya was too. He was ready for a bloodbath and now Stain was forging an alliance.

"Are you f.u.c.k.i.n.g kidding me? Get the f.u.c.k out and die. Aren't I the type you despise the most?"

"I was testing you. Those at death's door always express their true colours. You're an odd one, but... a "mind"... the sprouts of a crooked creed dwell inside you..."

Stain turned his head towards Midoriya. "Just like that one over there. I wonder what fruits these sprouts will bear... For now, I will wait to dispose of you both for after I've ascertained you with my own eyes. It probably won't be too late..."

Midoriya immediately let go of Kurogiri and pointed his knife at Stain "Dispose of us? Ridiculous. If you think you have my loyalty you are mistaken. Next time I won't hesitate to kill you."

Shigaraki scratched his neck. "I agree... I hate the idea of having such a nutjob around as a party member..."

"Shigaraki Tomura, if we add them to our ranks our battle power will magnify! The negotiations have come through!"

Both of them didn't seem really convinced, but Stain was satisfied.

"That order of business is settled! Now return us to Hosu! There's still something I've left to do there!"

Without a word once again Kurogiri turned into a black vortex. On the other side was Hosu. The Hero Killer was exuding a murderous aura.

"I'm gonna reform this town. And for that, more sacrifices are needed"

Kurogiri looked at him with an interested gaze "Is this the thing you've left to do?"

"The title "hero" should only be used by those who have achieved great undertakings! There's too many of them... counterfeit heroes who worship the almighty dollar! Until society realizes its errors on its own, I shall continue to appear."

With those words he jumped off the roof. Midoriya was still irritated from earlier and hearing his speeches was becoming less illuminating and more boring with each time. He was right but the pedestal he put himself on was way too high. He looked at the two from the League of Villains.

"People like that, who take themselves too seriously... don't last long. I hope you don't misunderstand. We are not together. So, no hard feelings?"

"Why are you following him then?"

He wasn't sure anymore. He needed an example. What was he going to do, in the future? He wanted to take action, and the Hero Killer was someone who inspired him deeply. But if he disliked something, it was to be controlled. That man was a threat. He needed to disappear.

"I'm not following him. He... knows things about me. Also, he's quite useful. I can't defy him too much... for now."

Shigaraki smiled eerily. "You're interesting. I like you. I'm going to do you a favor. Let me see, do you wanna play a game? Who kills the Hero Killer first? The winner... well, the winner wins, isn't that enough?"

Midoriya didn't say anything. He jumped off the roof.
