My Life In Blue Exorcist

(Rin): "Haah."

Honestly what am I doing? I just want to enjoy my life so why does life have to say otherwise?

(Rin): "Lets head back to the Dorm."

After an hour of walking I finally made it back to the Dormitory. I head to the Cafeteria and eat Ukobach's food. Yukio probably ate and is probably in his room.

(Rin): "Thanks for the meal!"

I needed this to get rid of my mood. I need to think of a way to get 400,000 yen, train my flames and probably any future Familiars I may gain. That's not to mention the future events that's going to happen and all the demon kings. Even Mephisto, I can't really rely on him cause I don't know if he'll help or not. I need to watch my back when he gives me a favour to do.

(Midori): "Rin-Sama, are you in a bad mood?"

(Rin): "How could you tell?"

I've been thinking about how to deal with the future events for a while now. Honestly I'm scared. Unlike Rin with his plot armour, this is real life. God knows what will happen to me.

(Midori): "I can just tell. You're not smiling like you usually do."

Smiling, huh. Well I guess since I've been in this world i've been smiling a lot. Feels weird saying that since my past life wasn't something to laugh about let alone smile about.

(Rin): "Nah its just that the incident with Yoshikuni got me thinking about stuff."

the only reason I want to use a sword is so I don't become relient with my flames since that's what Rin did in the original. But I actually need to think of a way to deal with the events instead of being passive.

(Rin): "Maybe a bit of training will get me feeling better."

I walked back to my room and used the training key instead of the room key and open the door.

I entered and looked around. The room is spacious and empty with a few bags, some target practise dolls and a Rock Demon.

(Rin): "Why is there a rock Demon here?"

If I remember correctly they get heavier the longer you pick them up. I guess it'll be useful for weight training or something.

I look around some more and see thats its a closed off room with only one door that requires a key. I wonder if this place is in True Cross Academy or somewhere else.

(Rin): "Well let's get started."

I closed the door and began my training. I opened the bag and got out three candles. Just like in the original series i'm gonna try light up the two candles at the end and leave the one in the middle.

(Rin): "Okay... Burn."

And it all goes to flames. Shit! Go away!

(Rin): "Huh, this is harder than it looks."

I'm surprised that I can will the flames to appear but controlling them is much harder.

I focus on the tip of the candles and light them up separately. Okay so it's easy to light things up separately but it's challenging to light multiple things at once.

(Rin): "It doesn't seem like I'm getting anywhere."

After trying for multiple times i've burned dozens of candles and made no progress. Its either I light up the whole of two candle or all three of them. Well Rin did take a couple of weeks to master his flames, didn't he?

(Rin): "Let's try something else."

Since I want to master my flames as soon as possible, lets learn as much as I can about Kurikara.

I draw my sword and experienced the sensation of my five senses increasing again.

(Rin): "Hmm? When I'm in my Demon form my clothes don't get burned even though there's fire on it. My ears obviously get bigger and becomes s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to both touch and sound and my tail becomes on fire "

I guess they don't burn I what subconsciously don't want to burn. I wonder if I can the level of control over my flames without the need for Kurikara. I guess that's what Rin would have been able to do at the end of the manga so far.

Hmm?

I put Kurikara back in its shieve and picked up that Rock Demon. Honestly what's it called again.

(Rin): "Midori, do you have any idea what's this Demons name?"

(Midori): "I believe it's called a Bariyon"

Oh so thats what its called. I say that whilst feeling the change in weight of the Bariyon. It got to the point where I couldn't even pick it up anymore.

(Rin): "Do they have some kind of gravity manipulation?"

I started remembering when the Bariyon attacked Shiemi during the kyoto arc. It floated up before slamming itself onto her.

(Rin): "Well lets try doing it with my flames."

I pulled out kurikara and picked up the Bariyon. It's not as heavy as before but I can feel it slowly getting heavy.

(Rin): "Well, this is getting boring. Let's have another fight Midori."

As soon as I said that Midori attacked me. Wow you've changed.

This time I can react to Midori's attacks easily and I quickly overpowered him in turns of strength, my speed, although its increased is still slower than Midori's but I'm adapting to his attack faster than before.

I dodged a punch to the face and gave him a roundhouse kick. Seriously, Do Demons have something against my face or something?

(Rin): "I think I have an idea on how to control my flames."

I train for a bit more with controlling my flames, fighting Midori in and out of 'demon mode'. When I thought it was getting late we headed back to the dorm. Hmm? I wonder what will happen if I just insert the key back? I really don't want to go back to the Cram school to walk back to the dorm again.

I entered the key and it was the hallway of the dorm. Wait, isn't the keys meant to be one way? that's what Mephisto told me at least. I know I was curious but I didn't expect it to work. Well this will be useful when I want to get away in certain situations.

Well, I went to bed and slept. Yukio was already in the room sleeping from the looks of it. I wonder how his day went after school?

The next day.

Today is the first official day of School. I got up early, done some training, used the kitchen, ate breakfast, got ready and left the dorm for school. Yukio seems to have already left without me.

(Yanno): "Morning Rin!"

(Rin): "Morning!"

I found Yanno in front of the classroom, so we talked for a bit whilst entering the classroom, then our lesson started after homeroom. We had physics and maths followed by a 15 minute break then english.

I was able to understand the english and maths lesson quite well but Physics was difficult since I can't read most of things on the board.

(Rin): 'Guess I need to practise reading as well.'

(Midori): `What's reading, Rin-Sama?'

Midori is joining me in the lessons in case I get bored. He seems interested in the lesson itself but he can't read any of the words.

I wonder what will happen if I train Midori into the world's smartest Goblin.

(Yanno): "Hey Rin wanna get some lunch?"

(Rin): "Actually I have other things to do. Sorry maybe next time."

Its already 12:30 when the lesson finished, so it's time for lunch. I wish I could join Yanno for lunch but I need to get that gamble from Mephisto out of the way before I can chill.

(Yanno): "Sure, no problem."

I wave to Yanno and exit the classroom and head to the home economics room.

(Midori): 'Rin, what are you planning to do here?'

(Rin): 'Hehehe, I plan to make most of my money here.'

I opened the door and looked around. It's the home economics room that I borrowed from mephisto with his permission. my plan is to serve bento boxes for 500 yen each with miso soup that I plan to make soon.

I woke up early for this with the help of Ukobach, all I need to do is set up the sign at the front of the door and wait for customers.

Why are there no customers?

I walk outside the room and see no ones here.

Is everyone outside? Ah man, all this food will go to waste.

(Yanno): "Rin. What you doing over here?"

I turned around to see Yanno munching on a sandwich. He probably got it from the school's co-op shop.

(Rin): "Yanno... I'm trying to sell some bento boxes but the areas too quiet. All the food's going to go to waste at this rate."

Man and I was hoping sales will go big as well. Guess I shouldn't take business lightly.

(Yanno): "Wait, you can cook?"

(Rin): "Yeah!"

I look at Yanno with sparkling eyes. Here's my chance!

(Rin): "Yanno~, would you like to sample some of my food? of course it'll be on the house."

(Yanno): "Free food? Sure."

Yanno belongs to a middle class family, so he also has a tight lunch budget although its much more than mine.

Yanno takes a bit of the rice and miso soup. I look at his expression and see how he thinks of it.

(Yanno): "Wow! This is delicious! It's better than the ones at the convenience shops! Are you sure you didn't order these from a restaurant or something?"

(Rin): "If I did that, how would I sell them for 500 yen and still gain profit?"

(Yanno): "500 yen! This would be killer if every other student knows about this!"

(Rin): "Well as you can see there's no customers around here and I suck at business management."

After all I'm just a highschool student not some reincarnater that just so happens to know about business and the world of politics from normal education.

(Yanno): "You can leave that to me, my good friend."

Yanno quickly finishes the bento box and stands up. I wonder what's he planning to do?

I stay sitting down thinking about what he's gonna do whilst eating a bento box. I don't wanna sound conceited but it tastes good. But I don't know how to bring the customers.

(Female student 1): "Is this the place?"

(Female student 2): "Yeah Yanno-kun said it was here."

Customers! Finally!

(Rin): "Welcome! Are you here for the Okumura daily lunch special?"

Yanno, I owe you one.

(Female student 1): "Yeah we got recommended by Yanno."

Yanno seems to be more social than I thought.

(Rin): "Here! That'll be 500 yen each, please!

I give them the boxed bento with miso soup and gave it to their table.

(Female Student 2): "Wow this is actually good for 500 yen."

(Female student 1): "Yeah! Lets post this on instagram! We can get some more customers for you chef-kun!"

Soon after she sent the pictures of the food the students of true cross academy started walking into the Economics room and soon business started booming.

(Yanno): "Chef-san, how's business?"

Yanno comes out of nowhere and greets me. This guy.

(Rin): "Brother let me tell you, if something ever happens to you, you can always rely on me."

(Yanno): "Nah no worries. I'm just helping out a friend, so of course I'll help ya. Especially with how good the grub is."

(Rin): "Then it's settled I'll give ya food on the house from now on."

I'm serious. No ones ever been kind enough to help me. So this is another new experience.

(Paku): "Wow, Okumura-kuns really good at cooking~."

(Kamiki): "Yeah, colour me surprise."

At some point Paku and Kamiki joined when they heard the commotion. Honestly they're lucky since I've almost run out of bento boxes and miso.

(Mephisto): "More Miso soup please~."

I got a chill.

(Rin): "Hello, Mr Faust, fancy seeing you here."

I turn around and see Mephisto eating on my bento box and miso.

(Mephisto): "Hello Okumura-kun~. So this is why you used the home economics room. Well I must say business is booming and the food is simply good, so i'll allow it to run even though you haven't won the bet yet."

Shit, I didn't think I would've gotten caught already, but luckily he seems calm about it.

(Mephisto): "Of course I'll be receiving 40% of the income."

I knew it was too good to be true.

(Rin): "Wait why do want this small amount of money? You're the Principal of the Academy!"

(Mephisto): "Yes but running a business on school property without said Principal's permission is not acceptable, just consider yourself lucky that the foods good, else I would shut it down."

Haa. Looks like nothing is gonna go my way in this life is it?
