My Life In Blue Exorcist

(Kasamugi): "Alrighty, the first activity of the Culture Club has officially finished. The next activity we'll be having will be decided over the weekends, if you have any ideas on activities to do, contact me before Sunday, otherwise, I'll put your idea into consideration for later."

And with a closing speech, the Culture Clubs Art Contest has finally finished. Kuro and Midori are still admiring the ice sculptures Kirihime made while the rest of us have decided to play on the ps4 again and play some more CoD games. It's been a long while but I think I can get used to playing the game soon.

Yanno and I sat on the sofa as Kasamugi and Chelsea was turning on the ps4's and setting everything up. We had a random talk about everyone's artwork, Yanno congratulated me on getting second place and teased me on getting a date. Soon our conversation was interrupted by Kirihime sitting next to me.

She sat down with an elegant posture, straight back, her hands on top of each other on her l.a.p as she gives the same old expressionless face. She doesn't open her mouth nor start a conversation as she sits patiently for the game to start.

Hmm, I wonder what it'll take to break that expression. Ok, that sounded a little evil… but I really want to see her other expressions.

There was an awkward silence when Kirihime sat down sitting next to me but it was quickly broken when Sora gave me a challenge.

(Sora): "Rin, let's have a little challenge. The winner with the most points get to sit next to Tsuno."

I could almost see flames in Sora's eyes as she said that while pointing at me. Looks like seeing Kirihime sitting next to me was her breaking point even though I didn't really do anything.

Strange, why do I have deja vu?

(Rin): "Sure, but I'm already sitting next to Kirihime so what's my reward?"

I had to ask because I like seeing her annoyed. After all, It's different from the usual calm and collected Sora we see every day.

(Sora): "Meh, I'll buy you lunch."

(Rin): "Declined."

I say that with a straight face. Not much of a reward if I'm able to cook for myself so I continue to wind her up.

(Rin): "I already make myself food and make an income from it."

(Sora): "Fine, I'll owe you a favour then."

Sora not backing up tries to bribe me with a favour. Huh, I have no clue what to ask from her though.

(Rin): "Meh, sounds kinda boring compared to the effort of standing up."

(Sora): "Stop talking as if you've already won!"

Hmm, looks like she's about to get angry. I'll agree just so I don't make her angry in the long run.

(Rin): "Alright, I'll settle with the favour."

(Sora): "Fine!"

Feels weird seeing the normally calm Sora acting like this but I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I guess she really wants to win, huh.

(Kasamugi): "I just finished setting up the PlayStations. The two of you can deal it out with a good old fashioned one in the chamber match. First one to get hit loses. You only have one shot, miss it then you have to rely on a combat knife. Let's make it best of three."

(Rin): "Sure."

(Sora): "Sounds good."

The two of us agree to Kasamugi's suggestion before being handed a controller. I was still sitting next to Kirihime which made Sora grumpily get a chair for herself before we started the game.

The cause of this situation, Kirihime, seemed interested as if she wasn't the cause of it. Well, if it helps me find answers to my questions about that voice than I don't mind being a source of her entertainment.

You'd think that I'd be able to hold my ground against Sora for being so annoying, but I lost in the first round.

(Sora): "Haha, looks like I'm going to win!"

Sora says that with a big smile on her face as if she sees victory ahead. The first round ended quite quickly since I was still getting used to the controls. I charged straight towards her character and missed the shot which made me lose the round.

Welp, better use this against her in the next round.

(Rin): "Aw man, but I don't want to leave my seat."

I say that with a somewhat sad tone which made Sora's smile get bigger. Wow, I didn't think me faking my sadness would be that effective but I'll also use this against her in the second round.

The second game started and as I went charging towards Sora like a complete noob similar to the previous round however in the last second, I made my character dodge the bullet.

(Sora): "Oh shit!"

Sora reacts at her mistake but it was too late, I had my gun loaded and ready to shoot, hit her dead in the heart.

(Rin): "Hmm? Looks like I got lucky."

I say that with my eyes wide open in surprise showing everyone that I didn't expect the shot to hit when in reality I was using the first round as a warm-up to understand the controls and the map. I got lucky since Sora underestimated me but now the next round decides it all. I hope for her to underestimate me.

(Rin): "Last round, huh. Sudden death."

I say that to Sora which makes her shake up a bit, after realising the stakes have increased, though she quickly calmed down after a few seconds. As expected of an Exorcist, I guess.

We got loaded into the game again as the countdown appears, everyone quieted down as they observe the final round. Once the countdown was over we both run towards each other to end this quickly.

We soon found each other and in the heat of the moment, we both shoot our pistols. Time felt slow at that moment as if we could see the motion of the bullet, luckily, or unluckily, neither of the bullets hit anyone making it knives only.

The tension in the room felt bigger as our fingers started to sweat. One wrong move and it's all over. Since I wasn't familiar with the game, I started jumping around while trying to stab Sora's character at the same time. Likewise, Sora did the same to me until one of us died.

And I won!

(Sora): "Nooooooo, I lost!"

(Akane): "Rip Sora."

Sora was the first one to react as I come out of my hyper senses. Wow, that felt weird. I was able to ignore the noises in the background and instead focus on Sora's breathing, hand movement, even her heartbeat with only my ears.

(Rin): "Looks like I won."

After recovering from my shock, I say that with a smug look but I stop after seeing Sora face. She looks like she's about to cry.

(Sora): "Fine!"

Just as I was about to apologise, Sora runs away from the Culture Club with the speed of an athlete. I just stayed where I was sitting like an idiot for not knowing what to do. She hates me, doesn't she? F.u.c.k!

(Rin): "Maybe I took things too far?"

Haaaah, this is what I get for taking things to far… not again… not another one...

(Yanno): "Looks like it."

Yanno says that as he gives me a light punch to the back of my head. It didn't hurt but I turned around to Yanno to see why he hit me, though I already know the answer.

(Yanno): "Go after her and say sorry you dumbass."

Seeing my questioning gaze, Yanno sighs before telling me to go after Sora. You don't need to tell me twice...

(Rin): "Oi, alright I'll go, jeez."

I get up from the sofa before looking at Kirihime. For once she looks worried for someone but also a little conflicted. I guess she doesn't know what to do with the situation.

(Rin): "It's my fault for overdoing things. I'll bring her back, don't worry."

I say that as I run out of the Club to find Sora. I never thought I'd be in a situation like this and honestly, I never want it to happen again.

-Sora's Pov-

After running away from the Culture Club, I headed outside to the patio to get some fresh air. Nobody's around at this time, or that's what I thought until I found myself surrounded by a group of delinquents.

(Delinquent 1): "I've heard that you've been messing with our gang-"

The one who spoke, probably the leader of this stupid gang, tried telling me his backstory. Usually, I would've entertained him a bit before kicking his a.s.s but today I wasn't in a good mood, so I punched him in the face, sending him flying.

(Sora): "Is that all you got?"

I say as I crack my knuckles. This seems like a good way to blow off some steam.

(Delinquent 2): "Get her!"

This time Delinquent 2 opens his mouth before grabbing his metal bat. Seriously, how did they get into this Academy with their crazy hairstyles and bad grades? Welp, I guess I can't judge them on the grades part, huh.

I casually think that to myself as I dodge the bat aimed directly at my face.

(Sora): "Don't you think it's a little unfair to gang up on little ole' me?"

I give them a mocking tone which does the job in enraging them even further. One guy comes over trying to punch me but I easily dodge it with a side step before grabbing his arm and throwing him to two of his mates.

Another group comes forward with bats in their hands and tried swinging them to hit me. Because of their inexperience with fighting or maybe because their lack of teamwork, they ended up hitting each other which I used as an opportunity to hit their chin with the palm of my hands, sending them flying and crashing down to the ground.

They really are useless, huh.

The rest of the gang members ended up in a similar fashion as I either judo throw them, send them flying with punches or kick, or they hit themselves with their stupid coordination.

Once I dealt with the last member, I brush the dust off my uniform feeling much better than before.

(Rin): "Look out!"

While I was busy cleaning myself from the dust, I hear Rin's voice all of a sudden which made me frown for a second. It was only then that I noticed one of the delinquents is holding a knife on his hands. I was stunned for a second wondering why he had a knife in the first place before quickly twisting my body to the side to dodge.

Damn, the lack of bloodl.u.s.t made me not notice it at all.

The Delinquent looks surprised from my dodge but he doesn't have time to say anything as I kick him in the gut while Rin sweeps him of his leg causing him to fall over with a swollen leg.

(Rin): "That was a close one."

Rin says that with a carefree expression, I sorta get annoyed by how relaxed he is in certain situations but his eyes give his emotions away, just like Tsuno. So he was worried huh.

(Sora): "Ok, now I feel much better."

I say that as I do some arm stretches. I haven't let off some steam like that in a while. Maybe I should beat up some more gang members before handing them to the police? I'll just say it was all in the name of justice!

-Rin's Pov-

I was able to quickly find out Sora's location after sending out my Demon Aura out, though when I found out, I was surprised that Sora was surrounded by a group of people, or Delinquents as they call themselves. Seriously though, why are a group of fancy people pretending to be Delinquents? I guess it's not an anime world for nothing huh.

I have thoughts like these as I watch Sora defend against the amateurs. I decided not to step in as it looks like she's just blowing off some of her frustrations out on the poor Delinquents but I got involved once I noticed one of them were trying to get something out of his pocket.

Realising what it was, I warned out to Sora who was a bit distracted but was able to dodge before sending a knee kick to the gut. At the same time, I give the Delinquent a kick to the t.h.i.g.hs as a little form of revenge for pulling out the knife, which definitely caused him to break a bone. We hear a scream from the boy before he passed out.

(Rin): "That was a close one."

I honestly feel like breaking a few more of his bones but I choose not to since that'll make Sora's evaluation of me to get lower. Haaaah, I need to stop overreacting I guess...

(Sora): "Ok, now I feel much better."

Sora says that while stretching her arms. It feels sorta surreal seeing a beautiful girl like Sora gracefully fighting in the middle of this battlefield. Let's use this as a chance to make up with her.

(Rin): "I can tell. You really are a good fighter."

I genuinely tell her since I wasn't expecting a landslide victory like that. Sora's movements weren't amateurish at all, in fact, they had a sense of grace while she nimbly dodged the gang's attack.

Almost like she was dancing.

(Sora): "Likewise to you champ."

Sora says that with a refreshed smile. The smile almost made me stunned but I quickly made my response.

(Rin): "Oh? Have I gained the title 'Champ' now?"

I say that jokingly as if the school's system was like a game which made me receive a few chuckles of laughter from Sora.

(Sora): "Haha, maybe once you've beaten 'The Queen of Sports' herself."

Sora proudly says that while putting her hands on her waist and sticking her c.h.e.s.t out. I ignore the jiggle physics that defies all laws of the world as I follow up on what Sora said.

(Rin): "Oh? Then I'll challenge you in the next sports day."

(Sora): "Sure, sounds like a blast!"

Sora says that with another smile as it looks like our relationship is fixed again. Now onto a different matter.

(Rin): "About Kirihime…"

I started off the topic but got interrupted mid-way.

(Sora): "It's fine. It's my fault for feeling attached to her."

I heard that and I got slightly annoyed. She definitely likes Kirihime so she had a right to be annoyed. Whether she has feelings for her or not it shouldn't matter.

(Rin): "No it isn't!"

I say that with a somewhat deep voice as I look at Sora in the eyes. I use my experience with Kirihime when she gazed into my eyes and used that on Sora. Sora flinches as I speak.

(Rin): "Look, it's no one's fault for who they like. Even if Kirihime doesn't swing that way, you shouldn't just give up."

Why am I giving advice to Sora even when I still haven't got myself sorted out yet? Bit of a hypocrite huh.

(Sora): "Yeah thanks. Though it makes it hard to do that when you're literally going out with her next week."

Sora says that after breaking my gaze and rolling my eyes. Hmm, I wonder if I could develop this ability...

(Rin): "Haha, sorry? I wasn't expecting that, you know."

But seriously, I more worried than happy about my first date. I mean, one, I know nothing about her nor why she suddenly has an interest in me. Two, her powers are a little worrying but I can put that at the back of my mind as long as she doesn't start a fight with me. Three, that voice I heard gives me bad feelings.

(Sora): "Yeah, I should've expected that. It's no worries but you need to make it up with me."

Sora says that with a cheeky smile. Oi, what kind of favour are you asking for?

(Rin): "Oi, what happened to my favour."

Did she forget or just wants me to do some dirty work for her?

(Sora): "Meh, we'll owe each other a favour then."

(Rin): "Whatever."

I roll my eyes at her response before agreeing to it. It can't be too bad I guess.

(Sora): "Thanks though."

(Rin): "No problem."

After that, we had an awkward silence while we were heading back to the Culture Club. It wasn't until we reached the Club entrance that Sora spoke again.

(Sora): "I guess we'll be fighting for Tsuno now. May the best person win."

Sora says that resolve in her eyes as I just roll my eyes. Do you think I'm interested in having a relationship when the world is going to be in a delicate state in a few months?

(Rin): "Whatever you say chief."

I sarcastically say that as I open the doors. I wonder what's it like to be in a relationship like that but I don't think I'm prepared for it. After all, who'd stick with someone as broken as me...

Once we got back nobody mentioned anything about what happened earlier and we played some games to pass the time. When it hit 5 I left the Clubroom to go to Cram School where I was greeted by Shiemi and the others. I left Kuro and Midori with the Club Members since I wanted to go on that mission solo today.

(Shiemi): "Good afternoon Rin, thanks for the dinner again."

(Rin): "Afternoon to you too, and no problem, you guys can come over to the boy's dormitory whenever you want something to eat for dinner."

(Noriko): "Looks like we'll take you up on that offer."

(Izumo): "Heh, it wasn't that good."

(Noriko): "Oh? But you were talking about how good it was when we went to sleep."

(Izumo): "N-no I didn't."

We had our usual conversations with Izumo being the tsundere and Noriko teasing the tsundere. Seems like Izumo still isn't honest with herself, hopefully, I can get that sorted by the Kyoto arc. While we were talking, I heard Suguro and the guys make comments about my skin and him calling me a pretty boy but I ignore them as class was about to start.

We had more bible studies and about lectures on Christianity before ending the lesson with some verse memorisation. Although I don't have the talent like Suguro and Izumo in memorising verses easily, I still eventually managed to memorise them before helping Noriko and Shiemi.

Once the last class was over, I looked at the time to see it's already 6:30.

(Rin): "Time to check out the Demons at the elementary school."

I say that quietly before saying goodbye to the girls. We all agreed on going to Shiemi's place on Sunday for a study session so that's something to look forward to. Though I don't know how long the investigation will take, might even take a few days. Luckily it's Friday so I don't have to worry about waking up early, then again it's the 13th today...

I shake the bad thoughts away as I loaded up the Elementary School's address and picked the fastest route before heading into a bus. The journey itself took about an hour but after many delays, I finally got to the general location. I already spoke to Yukio about my mission and although he offered to help me on this mission, I denied it saying I want to see how I'm able to perform in mystery like this.

Let's go over the information Mephisto gave me. There's been a recent case where people have been reported missing around this area before showing up in crime scenes. The most recent case is the English teacher in the elementary school where he was seen vandalising one of the major supermarkets, though the most interesting part of that incident is the fact that the man seems to have no recollection of who he is when a former student, who was at the crime scene, called his name.

Haaah, not much information I can use. I guess I should start with the Elementary school itself then the Supermarket to ask for clues, maybe the former student of his will have some clues. If I can't find anything useful than I can only rely on the Protagonist luck to get an encounter with whoever was the cause of these events.

It took 5 minutes to get to the Elementary School from the bus stop. Looking at the school itself, it looks normal without any signs of Demonic activities, the air is fresh so it hasn't been tampered by Demonic Energy or Miasma.

Maybe one of the kids accidentally summoned a Demon while they were playing a game. Like an ouija board or bloody mary? But then again, how would that explain them being missing and coming back later in a crime scene? Shapeshifter or some kind of spectre maybe?

I had questions like these as I headed to the front entrance. When got there, I see a middle-aged lady about to leave the office. She has brown her hair and brown eyes with average features wearing a suit and a fur coat over it.

(Rin): "Excuse me, miss. Do you work in the Elementary school?"

I ask the lady who seemed startled with having someone ask her a question at this time of day. She calmed down when she looks at me, probably thinking I'm just a kid who wants to know about the Elementary school.

(Receptionist): "Yes I am one of the Receptionists in this school, may I help you?"

She says calmly as if she's said this multiple times. I only think for a second before I continue speaking.

(Rin): "Yes, you see, I'm new in this area and I was wondering if this school was a good environment for my two younger siblings. I tried getting here as soon as I could but I got delayed."

I say that with an innocent face as I examine her facial reactions. Something about her is strange… and really off-putting.

(Receptionist): "Oh I see… Unfortunately, the schools closed right now and I need to go home for my husband. Please excuse me and come earlier tomorrow."

The Receptionist says with a little scared tone when she said that. As if she noticed that I picked up from her behaviour.

(Rin): "Oh ok no problem, oh, one last thing. I heard that a teacher went missing in this school before showing up a few days later. Any ideas on what happened?"

I say that with a casual tone to make myself seem friendly but it seemed to have the opposite effect on the lady.

(Receptionist): "I-I-I know nothing of that event! Please leave me alone."

She says with a trembling tone before walking away. Seems like I have one suspect for this mystery. I let her go for now before heading to an alleyway for an idea of mine. If it works, investigations like these will get easier.

I made sure nobody was near me before I released my flames and targeted them on some of the Coal Tars in the area, the mindless Demons all tried running away before I trapped them in my flames. After a while, they started calming down and looked at me with curiosity.

Coal Tar are tiny, airborne Demons that possess fungi, flecks of dust, or dirt. They're attracted to dark places, as well as humans with dark natures.

Perfect for what I want them to do should this plan work.

(Rin): "Listen to me, if you wish to be a child of mine, step forward."

I say that with a somewhat authoritative voice but hey, I got to fit the role. Though I guess asking them a weird question like that ruins my image huh.

While I was making fun of myself for asking a Demon to be my child, the Coal Tars from the other side of the alley started to gather around the ones I had in my flames. As if like a bubble, they all started merging into a giant Koks.

The usual Coal Tar appear as small, round creature with two, cat-like ear projections, four minuscule spiked limbs on their underside and a long tail with triangular points.

The Koks, however, look like something from a horror movie compared to their once former cute self. They appear as a black mass with pointed ears like protrusions, large round eyes, sharp teeth and thin arms. Sort of like shadow people but I guess a bit more menacing looking.

Haaaah, although it looks creepy, I can tell it has a look of confusion for what just happened. Looks like my flames caused them to merge somehow, probably as a self-defence mechanism when they feel endangered. Welp, no matter.

(Rin): "You will serve me as my shadow and I'll treat you like my child. As such, your name shall be Kage."

I bit my finger to make me bleed and drop the blood on top of its forehead. I chose Kage since it means Shadow which is suitable for what I have plans for. I soon feel the connection between me and the Koks Demon now called Kage.

(Rin): "Can you hear me, Kage?"

I say that as I haven't heard the Demon speak yet. I don't even know it's gender but I guess it doesn't matter since Kage is a boy's name.

Unless Kage is a girl…

(Kage): "I can hear you."

As if some Gods heard me, I hear the quiet voice of a girl coming from Kage, who was slowly transforming into a humanoid form. Goddammit Gods of anime, why did I have to jinx it?

The girl in front of me has black hair flowing from her head like a waterfall with dark eyes, olive tan skin, pointy ears to show she's a Demon, Cat-like ears on her head and a single black tail. In terms of age, she looks like she's about 10.

As usual with these transformations, Kage is n.a.k.e.d so I took off my coat and gave it to her. For god's sake, I'll never get used to this.

(Rin): "Hi Kage, my name's Rin Okumura. From now on you'll be known as Kage Okumura, a shadow to help me and a child of mine along with your siblings and siblings to come. I hope we can all get along as a family."

I say with a friendly smile to the confused Demon girl. It must be frightening to suddenly have a new form, probably given sentience, and being told your part of a strangers family now.

(Kage): "I take it that I've become your daughter now."

Kage seems to break out of her shock as she quickly analyses what I said. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Her calm voice also shows that she's accepted the situation after thinking about it.

(Rin): "It's embarrassing to say but yes. I'm sorry for the way I approached you but I hope it doesn't make us start off the wrong foot."

I say that sincerely as I realise she might have discomforts of her being picked out of the millions of Coal Tars in the world.

(Kage): "I am not talking about it in a bad way, I am just a bit surprised by my new circ.u.mstances. After all, I didn't even have a mind of my own until just a few moments ago."

Kage says that with a somewhat sad tone before her eyes flash with resolve.

(Kage): "Since you've brought my existence to this world, it's only suitable that you are my tou-san now. You mentioned I have siblings, are they of a similar circ.u.mstance as myself?

Kage seemed to have made a conclusion and resolved herself with her new life.

(Rin): "Haha, yeah they are. Though we may not have a direct relationship through bloodline, I will still treat you all as a father should."

I say that with a firm tone as I have flashbacks to my past life once again. The warmth of my grandparents before seeing the cold gaze of my mother. Although I have no current goal in this world, other than surviving, I do have a dream that's been with me since my past life.

To be a good father and have a big family.

It might be due to my upbringing but I've always wanted to feel that warmth again. Something my flames won't be able to provide but I can replicate it with my own family.

I guess the big family part is resolved with Yukio, Kuro, Midori and Kage but that doesn't mean I don't want it to expand. Haha, just call me hopeless since it's a dream of mine.

Now is to be a good father. Although my motives might not be the purest and I may seem manipulative, I'll continue struggling in this forsaken world I walk on. Even if I must kill Humans and Demons alike.

(Kage): "Thank you, Tou-san."

Kage says that with a bright smile, making that another thing on my list to protect. I guess I'll be spending the night in the Pocket Dimension to train again and the others to prepare for anything in the future. And although I said I want to treat her like my child, like the rest of my familiars, I'll make sure they'll have some use in this world. Not like that worthless boy I used to be.

(???): "AIIIEEEEE"

Just when I was about to use my flames to head back to the dorm, I suddenly hear a loud shriek before a Demon comes attacking us. Without getting the chance to look at it, I quickly grabbed Kage by the waist to dodge the Demon's hand which landed on the wall causing it to cave in.

The hell? Did the Demon know I was searching for it or is this something else?

(???): "AIIIEEEEE"

Whatever it is, the Demon shrieks again causing my ears to wince in pain before trying to attack us. Kage is shaking in fear as she holds onto me for dear life as I also hold onto her and dodge the Demon. It was then that I finally got a better view of what I was looking at.

Grey skin, wild grey hair, black sclera, piercing yellow eyes, black pulsating veins over her skin, abnormally long fingers that look like sticks, but what caught my attention was her Ghost like attire.

(Rin): "Didn't think I'd be meeting you this soon, miss receptionist."

I say that with a somewhat calm tone as I make eye contact with her. I remember her clothes were similar, whether she is the receptionist or not, I had no clue until she gave herself away with her shriek of surprise.

Hmm, even her smell is different, her facial features are nothing like before, they look a little enhanced if anything. Well, regardless, she quickly shakes her head before shrieking and attacking me again. I wonder if she got angry about the questions I asked? Maybe it'll end peacefully if I say sorry? I say that casually as I doge another one of its attacks.

When I got some room for breathing, I picked up Kage properly into a princess carry but I noticed her head was down and that she was holding her ears. I dodged another attack before looking down to see how Kage's handling the situation but that's when I saw it, her crying, tears pouring down from her swollen red eyes. I felt something break inside of me when I saw her face like that as I jump from window to window like Mario till I got to the roof.

(Rin): "Stay here, Tou-san will deal with this Demon."

After jumping on a roof, I put Kage down before patting her head. Once she calmed down a little, I wiped the tears on her face before bringing my hand close to her ears and lighting them with my Blue Flames. Although the sudden appearances of my flames scared her a bit, she quickly calmed down when she realised she couldn't hear the screams anymore.

(Rin): 'Let Tou-san deal with the Demon. Sit tight and wait for me.'

I say that gently with our telepathic communication whilst giving her a gentle smile and leaving after a light hug. However, once I turned my back on her, my smile vanishes as I look at the Demon with the aim to kill as my vision becomes blue.

(Rin): "You think you can get away after making my daughter cry!?"

I say that with a dark expression and crazy eyes as blue flames start erupting around me, lighting the area a blue. Looks like my cover will be blown and the Order will take note of this, but I honestly couldn't give two shits.

I'm pissed.

(???): "AIIIEEEEE"

The lady, with her ghost-like limbs, appear at the top of the roof before giving me another bloodcurdling scream. I can feel a little blood coming from my ears but ignore it before using my flames to propel myself forward, hitting the Demon in the gut with enough force to send her flying back 5 blocks.

Seems like the noise will gather attention, better make this quick before I get caught but long enough to make her suffer and get answers from her.

I summon Kurikara and draw both my katana's before putting their hilts away in my flames. I then run at the Demon with my arms beside my sides like a Naruto run before blocking an attack from the Demons hands. Her fingers are as hard as steel huh.

She grabs Kurikara with her b.a.r.e hands as she flies upwards. I hold onto Kurikara but I don't increase my flames output. Wait. Wait. Once we got to the cloud level, the Demon thought she had the advantage but I let go of Kurikara, putting it back into my storage and used my flames to propel myself forward to grab her face.

(???): "AIIIEEEEE"

Once I grabbed her face, she tried shaking me off but I hang on for dear life while digging my nails into her Ghost like face. Seeing as she couldn't shake me off, she started nose-diving towards the ground with me at the front.

(Rin): "Don't underestimate a Demon, you bitch."

I say that as I use my other hand to grab onto her shoulder and her body got erupted by blue flames. The Demon tried to get me off her but I stuck myself on her body like glue. As the ground started to get closer and closer, I let go of her as I use my flames to make myself a platform in the air. Though it's a bit difficult, I'm able to support my own weight on the platform as I watch the Demon nose dive into the alleyway without realising I've already let go.

She gets up screaming from the pain of the fall as her body is still covered in my flames. I still have control over them as I slowly increase the pain like a dial but without a limit. The pain slowly seeps into her as her judgement starts to become rash and the never-ending pain drives her crazy.

Seeing me unharmed, the Ghost like Demon covered in Blue Flames comes attacking me again. She looks even scarier with my Blue Flames enhancing her creep factor to another level but I put that thought at the back of my head as I continue parrying her attacks with my resummoned katana's.

Her attacks have lost rhythm and her techniques have been overwritten from the intense pain of the flames. I almost feel bad, almost.

Welp that doesn't matter, she's dead regardless.

Once I got the perfect opportunity, I found the weak spot on her arm before cutting it off cleanly. The Strange Demon gives another blood-curdling scream as she uses the other arm to attack but I kicked her in the head, sending her to the wall before stabbing her at the centre of her c.h.e.s.t, wedging Kurikara deep into the wall.

I take a moment to see where we are and contacted Kage via telepathic communication to make sure she's safe before I continued dealing with this Demon.

(Rin): "Speak, tell me your reasons else I'll kill you."

I threaten the Demon who looks like she was about to cry. Seeing this made me angrier as the picture of Kage's crying face overlapped with hers. The despair on her face as the tears ran on her cheeks… I told myself I'd protect her yet she still suffered… not even 10 minutes has passed since I made that resolve

Seeing as she still didn't speak, my anger started to increase as I use my other Katana to cut off her fingers

(???): "AIIIEEEEE"

She gives off one blood-curdling scream after another, with each bone on her hands chopped off after another, as slowly her entire hand got chopped off into tiny pieces, but even then I she still refused to give off any information so I used my flames to slowly burn off her fingers, making it that even if she survives this, she won't be able to recover for a very long time.

(???): "Please no more!"

She finally talks after banging her head against the wall from the insufferable pain. I only respond by giving her a kick to the gut before repeating the same question.

(Rin): "Speak, tell me your reasons else I'll kill you."

I say that with an even colder voice than before that even surprised me but I ignored it as I focused on dealing with the trash in front of me.

(???): Please don't kill me! I was only doing what I was ordered to!"

The Demon says with a shrieking voice as she tries to unwedge the Katana stuck in her c.h.e.s.t with her chopped off right arm and mangled left arm. I slowly apply pressure on Kurikara as I ask her another question which in turn made her scream louder.

(Rin): "If you value your life than tell me what you are, who sent you here and the organisation behind you."

I say that with a pissed look on my face which made her even more scared before answering my questions.

(Banshee): "I-I-I'm a B-Banshee, I-I got sent to kill you by E-Envy after being warned by him that you are a dangerous existence. T-the organisation is 'Glps ewg'."

The Demon, the Banshee, says with a choking voice. A Banshee, Envy and Glps Ewg. Just what the hell is going on?

(Rin): "Tell me more about yourself. The information you give determines whether you live or not."

That Organisation… just what the hell are they? And seven deadly sins?

(Banshee): "H-hey, you said I'd live if I answered your questions!"

The Banshee says as she struggles to get the Katana out of her c.h.e.s.t. This demon...

(Rin): "The world is changing honey, so tell me everything you know before i decide to burn you for all of eternity."

I say that as I give her a look of death. I rather get this dealt with soon before the Exorcists get here.

(Banshee): "Y-y-yes, I don't remember much of my life before but when I woke up I remember meeting a man with golden hair that's slicked backwards, he had a charming face, an innocent smile and the mannerism of a prince. I felt something inside of me have a strong d.e.s.i.r.e for him as soon as our eyes met. His name is Envy, my God and the being that gave me a purpose in life. I'd even jump to hell if i must to save him. He should belong to me! Only me! I'LL EVEN FIGHT THAT BITCH L.U.S.T IF I MUST!"

The Banshee says with a firm tone, willing to fight for the sake of this man, Envy. No wonder she attacked us…

(Rin): "Such a beautiful story."

A tale of an amnesiac patient and her meeting with her prince charming. He even warned her that I was a threat to save her. A beautiful story.

I say that while wiping my fake tears before setting her body ablaze. You think that'll be enough for me to forgive you for making my Kage cry!?!

(Banshee): "AIIIEEEEE, WHY!?! I TOLD YOU EVERYTHING!?!?"

The Banshee says as she struggles to escape even more. I have Kurikara stuck firmly in the wall while increasing the weight of my flames to hold her down. I look at her straight in the eyes and see my calm face from her clear yellow irises before speaking.

(Rin): "Heh, try killing me and I'll give you a quick, merciful death. Mess with those I care about then I'll make you suffer hell. Consider yourself lucky that I don't have much time else your pain would've lasted much longer."

I'm aware that I only know Kage for only a few minutes at most, but as soon as I named her, I decided to give her a good life while also making herself useful to myself and the people around me. Call me two-faced or manipulative but I still care for the people I use. After all, I wouldn't send them off a cliff with no plan or ability to survive.

After all, I need to think of the bigger picture if I'm to enjoy my life in this hell hole of a world.

Soon the Demon slowly dies off with her body being burnt to the point where even her ashes didn't remain.

(Rin): "May your next life have no encounters with Golden-haired men, nor someone with Blue Flames."

I give a small prayer to the Demon even though I'm not religious in any form, I do believe in the existence of Gods and the reincarnation cycle.

Time to head back I guess. Those annoying Exorcist at the Order will be annoying to avoid if I didn't have the Pocket Dimension or the ability to teleport. I wonder how Mephisto is going to explain this to the higher-ups?

Wow, we hit 1 million views for Mlibe! I honestly didn't expect this to happen even though most of the viewers are probably bots (excuse the pessimism) or it might be because of how rare a Blue Exorcist fanfic is.

Now, I wanna tell all of you how I started this fanfic. Most of you might've thought that I was bored and wanted to make myself preoccupied over the holidays (after all, that's what I said in that review I gave to myself) but the true reason was to escape my reality. Which is the main reason why the first 15 or so chapters aren't good (imo at least). I had no clear goal and I even made it cringey (Seriously, why did I write that kind of stuff) but I'm happy I made Mlibe since it's given me a chance to do something I didn't think I'd enjoy.

Seriously, if you told me 3 years ago that I'd make a fanfic of Blue Exorcist, I'd think you're a weirdo. Especially since I didn't read a light novel till 2 years ago! (I'm a late bloomer, ok? Back then it was only about anime or manga)

Now I know some of you (if not all) probably find it cringy for Rin to have the family raising mindset. I can understand but honestly, Rin gets that from me. Just call me hopeless but that's what I love about harems (as long as it's not forced obviously).

Well, this was a short rambling of the useless Demon king you all know (and probably hate). Let me know how you feel about the direction of the novel. I still can't believe Mlibe is 5 months old now. Wow, I have so many ideas to make it better but so little time 😭 if somebody has a fully functioning hyperbolic time chamber, with wifi of course, than please tell me! I'd be able to make at least 50 chapters than!
