My Life In Blue Exorcist

The next day:

I open my eyes and look at the ceiling. Today's the day, huh?

I got up and did some stretches.

(Rin): "The sun still isn't up yet. What time is it then?"

I looked at my desk to see if there was an alarm or something. Man this desk is messy.

(Rin): "5:03"

I guess I should've expected much. After all I went to bed around 8-9. Man, that guy, Mephisto is definitely bad news. I don't know why but I had the feeling that if I even thought of attacking him, I would've been slaughtered. Must've been my demon instinct's or something.

Speaking of the Devil, Mephisto shouldn't be here for another couple of hours, so what should I do?

With nothing else to do I left my room and freshened up a bit. I don't want to start my training until I get into True Cross Academy and find a place to train my flames.

(Rin): "Well let's take a bath."

I didn't take a bath yesterday so I want to feel comfortable before going to the Academy.

The bath room is located not too far from my room anyway, but I make sure not to wake up any of the priests. Even though they're probably doing maintenance and repair, I better not disturb them so I tiptoed my way to the bathroom.

Monastery is made of two parts. The Church and the living quarters. The Church is where all the services takes place and the living quarters has all the living facilities for the Priests.

I make my way to the bathroom. Since there's no female workers here, the bathroom is massive for multiple people to use. Reminds me of the ones from bathhouses you see in anime. Of course, I haven't been in one from my past life so I don't know what else to compare it with.

I dipped my feet into the water as soon as the tub got full- oh wait, isn't it customary to clean yourself with soap before you jump in. I quickly got out and cleaned myself before jumping back into the bathtub. Man, this bath tub is massive, looks like it can easily fit five people

(Rin): "Man, I feel like I'm melting~."

In my past life my mother didn't allow me to use hot water, so I normally take short cold baths. But this is fantastic!

And so time slowly passed away while I started thinking about how different my life is now compared to before now.

I broke out of my thoughts when I felt the water starting to feel cold.

(Rin): "Hmm... lets stay a little longer."

I warmed up the water and relaxed in the bath for a while. Well I said a while but when I left the bathroom it turns out I was in it for 2 hours!

(Rin): "Guess I must really love hot baths, huh?"

Hey, you learn something new about yourself everyday.

I got changed into new clothes I had prepared beforehand and started to look around in the Monastery. Honestly never in my life would I expect this to happen to me. Becoming Rin, a son of Satan. I guess that's the point in every reincarnation story, huh?

The Priest should all be up by now, they usually start work around 6.

(Rin): "It's gonna be the last time I see this place."

I want around the monastery. The Kitchen, The Sitting room, The Hallways, The Main hall, The confessionary. Finally, I made my way out of the monastery where I met the other priest.

(Nagamoto): "It's time to leave, isn't it?"

(Izumi): "Yeah, but feel free to drop by anytime!"

(Kyodo): "This is your home after all."

(Maruta): "I already feel so lonely! Now I know you're leaving"

(RIn): "Sure."

Maruta is a heavy set man, with a close shaved head and a curl on his forehead. Same here, man. I also feel lonely for leaving and I wanna cry again, but I'm not. I'm not gonna cry anymore, I want to keep my chin up and face whatever happens instead of being passive.

(Rin): "Has Yukio returned, yet?"

With nothing else to do while waiting for Mephisto I thought of starting a conversation.

(Maruta): "We haven't seen him since yesterday."

(Rin): "Oh, ok."

We had an idle chat with priest about Monastery and about me being an Exorcist until they had to get back to work.

After all the Monastery is still in ruins because of the attack. I wonder how no one in the neighborhood heard the attack?

(Rin): "Man, that clown is taking his time getting here."

Just when I said this, I see a pink Limousine driving above the speed limit. Oi, you can't be for real, right?

The Limousine takes a hard break and stops, with a certain clown exiting the car.

(Mephisto): "Oh my, what a pleasant day! A beautiful clear sky to accompany you on your journey!"

(Rin): "Nice ride you got there."

(Mephisto): "Why, thank you~!. Its my custom made Mephisto "pink" Limousine~!."

(Rin): "Lets save the chit-chat for later and get straight down to business. So where you taking me?"

I feel like I'm gonna get bored asking questions that I already know the answers to.

(Mephisto): "To True Cross Academy, of course."

(Rin): "True Cross Academy, huh?"

(Mephisto): "You know, to the general public, I'm the Principal of the Academy and thus from today you will be a student of my Academy as well."

(Rin): "Oh, really. Cool."

I just want to get this over and done with to be honest. I feel like my energy is being drained from being with Mephisto. Not because I don't like him, but my instincts are screaming right now. And f.u.c.k me I'm stressed because of it.

(Yukio): "Sorry I'm late! Still this did come as a surprise! To think that the Principal would be kind enough to become our guardian. Apparently father had asked to take care of us should anything happen. I never thought I would be able to attend the same school as you, Nii-san."

This worlds characters really love to talk, don't they?

(Nagamoto): "Well then... Please take care of Rin, Faust-san."

(Mephisto): "You can count on me~. I will be assisting in the running of the monastery as well, so there is nothing to worry about. Now true Cross Academy is a boarding Academy. Once you enter, you may not leave without express permission, you will not be able to return here for quite some time. Have you finished saying your goodbyes to your home of your youth?"

(Rin): "I had a feeling something like that would happen, I've already said my goodbyes."

(Mephisto): "Excellent answer. Now onwards in the Mephisto "pink" Limousine!"

Seriously I woke up a few hours ago and I already want to go back to sleep.

We got into the Limousine and the driver started driving at full speed.

(Rin): "Slow down, dammit!"

Other than being on a bus, I've never been in a car before, so this is another new experience for me. Well in Rin's memories he went on some trips with father but those don't count.

With nothing else to do I started extracting more memorise of Rin. I started from the events of Astaroth's attack, but then I noticed some inconsistencies. Now I'm not a massive fan boy of Blue Exorcist. but I remember Astaroth attacking Rin after he got fired in the anime, but in Rin's memories he was on his way to the interview. I would assume that I'm just in the manga but I remember running from the ghouls, about the truck getting thrown to the monastery and that metal rod that almost burned me, in the manga I believe it was a knife instead. plus, I have dark blue hair and Yukio has brown hair.

So what the f.u.c.ks happening in the storyline? Not only that but I feel like I've missed other stuff.

Aw f.u.c.k it, whatever happens, happens. No point in worrying about it now.

Turned my head I look at Yukio. So we're brothers now. I never thought of it as anything important before but Rin's memories are really affecting me right now. How do I talk to him about this event? Things like that keeps repeating in my head even though I know it'll work out somehow.

Probably...

Honestly I have a neutral opinion of Yukio. Everyone hates Yukio for being bi-polar or for trying to limit rin or for other reasons but I always wondered how it would be to have a brother to support me, even though he did become a d.i.c.k later on in the series, but I'm sure he had better reasons than for wanting power.

Probably...

After some time, speeding above the limit, we can finally see the Academy.

(Rin): "Holy…! Shit...!"

This is the Academy? I know I've seen it in the Manga and Anime, but what the actual f.u.c.k?

(Mephisto): "Welcome to True Cross Academy! This the Academy Town with all of our Educational Institutions. Please study to your heart's content!

(Rin): "Oh, that reminds me. If I'm going to this Academy of yours, where's my uniform?"

(Mephisto): "Oh how could I forget about something so important?"

(Rin): "Thanks"

(Mephisto): "The Matriculation Ceremony will begin shortly. Simply head along to the main Auditorium with everybody else."

(Yukio): "Thank you very much."

Why do I have the feeling today is going to be a long day? Well whatever, I'll keep my chin high and make the most out of it.
