My Life In Blue Exorcist

(Mephisto): "Well what are we gonna do about him?"

I forgot Mephisto was still here. When I realised what he means I realised that the Giant Goblin is still there. I didn't sense any hostility so I thought it had already died, but why is it not moving?

It was then that it moved again but it went on the floor and done something like a bow. The hecks happening now?

(Mephisto): "Hmm? its seems like it wants he wants to subordinate himself to you."

Subordinate itself to me? Like how an exorcist makes a contract with a demon?

(Rin): "What do you mean?"

(Mephisto): "I'm saying that he wants to be your familiar."

Huh? My familiar? This giant thing?

(Rin): "Uhh, I don't mind, but can he do anything?"

Like, I don't mind having a familiar, it could probably help me with training, but I need to see all the pros and cons before I make a decision.

(Mephisto): "Well that all depends on you~. Usually when making a contract with a demon said demon the contract is in mutual agreement on the conditions, a give and take scenario. But in your case, this Demon wants to subordinate itself with you, essentially giving itself to you and letting you do whatever, you are his master until your death and he will be by your side until then. Making this contract also means it has the potential of gaining some interesting abilities."

Im sorry, what? This is news to me. But it's got me interested now.

(Rin): "So how do I make him my subordinate?"

(Mephisto): "All you have to do is to simply drop your blood upon its forehead and give it a name."

Huh? That simple? And that will give it a new power as well?

(Rin): "That's too good to be true. What's the catch?"

(Mephisto): "Now where's the fun in saying it now?

This guy is being tight lipped about it. For God's sake can't you be a little nicer you little...

(Mephisto): "So what's your decision Rin?"

Before I could even finish my thought process I got hit with some unknown pressure for a moment. This guy... I can't mess with him with how weak I am.

(Rin): "Hmm... Sure. I don't see why not."

Even if I have my suspicions I'm curious as to how this works.

I used my fangs to cut my finger. I'm not used to this so it takes me a few tries to finally cut my finger. Damn my skins durable.

(Rin): "From now on you shall be named Midori"

I suck with names. I chose midori since it means green in japanese and this Goblin is also green so...

(Yukio): "Why am I not surprised you couldn't make a name for him?"

(Rin): "Hey, shut up."

So when's this power up thing gonna happen? Does he need some kind of trigger like in most shounen?

(Midori) "grrr."

It was then that Midori started to shrink and his skin went from a dark green to a green with a tint of blue on its surface.

(Mephisto): "Oh it seems to have the ability to change its size now and it seems to have its intelligence increased."

Hmm? Increased in intelligence? I looked at the Goblin again and realised unlike its previous blank look it had before it seems to have some intelligence now.

(Rin): "Can you understand me?"

(Midori): "Yes, my lord!"

In a rough yet childish voice I hear Midori. So this is now familiar now.

(Rin): "Nice to meet you, Midori. My name is Rin Okumura. I hope you call me Rin.

(Midori): "But milord, I can't."

Oh boy. I'm in another annoying situation.

(Rin): "look im not used to anyone calling me that and I want to be friends with you so can you please call me Rin?"

Since I want to make the most out of this world I need all the help I can get so why not befriend a demon to start it out? I mean it's not like I hate demons or anything but if someone tries to attack or people I want to protect there gonna have to deal with the consequences.

(Midori): "Then what about Rin-sama?"

(Rin): "Hmm... I guess that can work."

(Yukio): "Erm... What exactly is going on, Nii-san?"

(Rin): "No it's nothing. Midori just wants to call me milord or something but I declined... Wait you can't understand what he's saying?"

(Yukio): "No he's just making grunting sounds and your just conversing normally like your talking to a classmate."

Oh, better make sure not speak to Midori in public unless I have my phone out or something else that would have ended badly.

(Rin): "Anyway, what are we gonna do about the class?"

The class was already in ruins before we got here but now even the desks are destroyed.

(Yukio): "I guess we have no choice but to move classes. Luckily all the students have already received a mashou so there's no need in going to another demons nest."

Yeah that's good to know.

(Rin): "by the way how am I gonna explain him?"

I pointed at midori who's on my head right now. How didn't you call me your lord a second ago? so, why are you on my head?

(Mephisto): "Just say that's your tamed Demon. Although its rare, it's not too uncommon for fledgling exorcist to have a Tamed Demon."

Oh, I guess that makes sense. There's exorcist that have Tamed Demons that are passed down to their descendants so this makes sense.

(Mephisto): "Anyway you should both get back to lessons now. You shouldn't leave your class waiting, Okumura-sensei~."

Oh I forgot about the class. Luckily no one got injured but I'm worried about Paku. I mean she did get scared of a Goblin to the point of throwing it off her arm, which caused the entire class to be endangered. I'm sure she blames herself.

(Paku): "Sensei, are you alright?!"

(Yukio): "Yes, I'm fine. Although I can't say that about the classroom"

The already ruined class is in an even tragic state.

(Rin): "yeah, let's continue the lesson somewhere else."

(Yukio): "Nii-san if you truly mean to aim to become an exorcist then the words I just said will always haunt you. 'Just Die, please', I will not be the last one to tell you that or indeed think of it. I think you need to be prepared to face fact."

If it's just that then it's not much different from my past life then. I'm used to people hating me in both my past and present life.

(Yukio): "I apologize for the trouble, everyone. Let's continue this lesson in a different classroom. You too, Okumura-kun!"

(Rin): "Coming, sensei!"

I exited the classroom and got bombarded by stares.

(Rin): "Erm... Did I do something? Why's everyone staring at me?"

(Kamiki): "It's probably because of the Goblin on your head."

Kamiki said as if she was stating the obvious. Oh see its because of this guy.

(Rin): "Oh he's my familiar who helped me fight the Goblins."

(Kamiki): "You made a Goblin fight another Goblin?"

Hey you make it sound like I forced him in the first place.

(Yukio): "Now, now everyone lets make our way to the classroom now."

Yukio saved me from this Kamiki girl. Come on I saved your best friend and this is what I get.

We went to another classroom after a minute of walking in silence. I guess everyone's scared of me. Oh well it would've happened sooner or later, might as well as deal with this bullshit at the start.

We went to the class and the lesson resumed. Since we had that Goblin attack the lesson was focused on Goblins. What they are weak against, what kind of attacks they use etc. During the lesson I can feel the stares of the people behind. Since I wanted to take lessons seriously, I sat at the front but now I feel a bit pressured by all the stares. When the lesson was finally over we were allowed to leave and the stares finally stopped. I guess I need to start getting used to this else it'll be a problem later on.

(Rin): 'Say, Midori. Can you hear me?'

(Midori): 'Yes, Rin-sama'

Oh so I can communicate with him telepathically.

(Rin): 'How exactly was I able to tame you?'

(Midori): 'Erm because you released your demon aura and spared me instead of killing me.'

Demon aura? Such a thing exist?

(Rin): 'what do you mean by demon aura?'

(Midori): 'I don't understand what you mean. Your releasing a pseudo-aura as we speak.'

Pseudo-Aura? was that what Yanno meant by the 'vibe' I give off. Well since he doesn't know I guess I have to ask Mephisto.

(Rin): 'By the way, about what Kamiki said…'

(Midori): 'About fighting my own kind? I don't mind since the ones in the nest were all mindless. If its a high ranking Goblin though I might feel some guilt because they can speak but remember when a demon is exorcise they just go back to Gehenna.'

Oh so that's what happens when a Demon is Exorcised.

At least I know I can rely on him when I'm fighting other Demons. Hehe i'm feeling pumped to get stronger.

As soon as lessons are over I stood up wanting to get a drink since my heads full of notes I made in the lesson. Man i'm tired and hungry

Since there wasn't any lessons at the normal school we were allowed to leave when it hit noon. Nows its half past three. Apparently this is how Saturday lessons will be from now on and Sunday will be our only day off.

(Paku): "Ex-Excuse me, Okumura-kun"

Before I could leave though I got stopped by Paku.

(Rin): "Yes? You want something from me?"

(Paku): "N-no, I just wanted to say thank you for saving me."

Oh so that's what this was about. Honestly I forgot about that towards the end of the lesson since, well, my head started hurting from the knowledge.

(Rin): "Oh it's no problem."

If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have realised how fun fighting demons would've been and I wouldn't have tamed midori.

(Paku): "Wanna go get something to eat as a thank you."

(Rin): "I don't mind going out to eat, but I couldn't accept it if you bought me food as a favour."

I mean I done what anyone else would've done in my position. I mean I don't want to see a cute girl get hurt in front of me.

(Kamiki): "Just accept her offer already."

(Rin): "Haaa, fine."

I reluctantly accepted her offer when Kamiki got involved, I don't want to appear rude to them so I just accepted it.

(Rin): "Any places you recommend?"

(Paku): "We also don't know any places around here so we wanted to look around while we had the time."

We left the Campus after checking out of the receptionist and went to True Cross Shopping Mall.

(Rin): "So are you guys not afraid of me?"

I mean, I still have my tail out and I'm pretty sure they've seen it already. I wonder how they feel about hanging out with a half demon like me

(Paku): "I'm not going to lie, I did initially get scared of you and your familiar, but then remembered that you saved me."

(Kamiki): "Plus I told her that there's a ton of people in this world who are related to Demons by blood, better still many of them are exorcist and it's not uncommon for exorcist to have familiars"

Oh so that's why.

(Rin): "Your surprisingly kind, kamiki."

(Kamiki): "H-how the hell did you reach that conclusion!"

Oh boy, bitch girls now a tsundere girl.

We walked around the shopping mall and tried to look at all the shops, but we couldn't since it was getting late. Damn this mall is big. Since the original plan was to have something to eat, we went back to one of the fast food restaurants and ordered burgers. Meat!

(Paku): "Hehehe, Okumura-kun is like a kid."

(Rin): "Sorry when it comes to food I lose myself"

I mean in my past life it wasn't uncommon for me not to have anything to eat for the whole day, I'd probably have a meal every couple of days and even then it wasn't anything nutritional or it would just be left overs of mother's food. I don't want to experience that again, so I want to forget it as soon as possible.

(Kamiki): "By the Okumura-kun, are you and Okumura-sensei related?"

Hmm? How should I answer? I mean I don't wanna lie but I wonder how Yukio is gonna react to this... Oh well.

(Rin): "Yeah he's my younger twin brother, but we're fraternal twins so he didn't inherit any demon features from our father."

(Kamiki): "Oh so the younger brother is a teacher whilst the older brother is his student. That's so laughable."

And she's back to bitch mode.

(Paku): "Izumo you shouldn't say that."

We chatted for a while about class, Demons then at some Manga and Novels. When I asked if there was any they recommended me, surprisingly Kamiki was the most eager for me to read a romance manga called Kimi-Monogatari and other suggestion when we realised the time we headed back to our dorms since it was almost curfew. Oh, by the curfew is at 8 and it's already 7.

This was surprisingly fun talking to the girls. I hope we can become friends one day. I guess we technically are right now, but I hope this last and isn't gonna be temporary like the one in my last life.
