Chapter 24 - ID Create: Zombies. Genkai's test. Mission.

"I'm going to create a space for us to train using my ability. Just remember nothing in here is truly alive, even if it can kill you." I grin.

Rem nods I decide to try a skill I saw in the book that Subaru gave us in the previous world.

I force a field of my sacred energy to push around us until it reaches beyond my perception.

Then I shout, "ID CREATE! ZOMBIES!" for effect and I immediately hear Keiko scream her head off.

"NO! NONE OF THAT!" she points a crowbar she picked up from where it was conveniently sitting nearby at a zombie, trembling, and when it doesn't back down, starts bashing the head in of the zombie.

"WHAT THE F.U.C.K HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO!?" Keiko laments while clutching her knees close to her c.h.e.s.t.

"Language." Yusuke mocks, grinning.

"Oh quiet YOU! I have a right to curse when zombies have shown up, I just got done being kidnapped, and I know there are demons now!" She shouts in Yusuke's face.

"Well, I think it's time to go home, you both have made progress. Especially Keiko.

(Keiko POV)

I walk into my room, sigh, and flop onto my bed, and then, I hear a chime.

*You have received a quest. Go take a shower, Reward: 500 yen and +1 to Dexterity.*

I snap to attention and realize we were never dismissed from the party.

"Damn it, Yusuke," I mutter, as I begin to get ready for bed.

The next day.

(Yusuke POV)

*Quest received, pass a test, study, and don't get caught while kicking the a.s.s of bullies. wink wink hint hint.*

"F.u.c.k yes!"

"Swear jar, Mr. Urimeshi!"

"aww, crap!"

"That's 200 yen now!"

"Crap isn't a swear word!"

"300! and detention!"

(William POV)

Time passed quickly like that, soon, 3 weeks had passed and there was another mission for Yusuke, Kuwabara, a teen with an orange pompadour haircut, wearing a blue jumpsuit with yellow trim, and brown leather shoes, his eyes were blue. Keiko was also included, and surprisingly enough, due to being reincarnated as humans, we are also eligible for this mission and being seen as demons by Spirit World, we are actually obligated to do so.

We have to prevent a demon named Rando from claiming Genkai's core-inheritance while possibly becoming her student. If at all possible we are to help Yusuke get the core inheritance for himself.

"We're in. Let's go kick some a.s.s." Rem stands up and then points to the sky.

I grin, "Rem, stop looking so cute or I might have to kiss you."

Rem looks at me challengly, "Would you not kiss me even if I weren't acting cute?"

"Was that your plan? Steal my lips? What a fiend you are!" I put my hand over my mouth in mock horror.

Boton coughs, and we remember where we are and we both blush. "Well, that's all nice and flirty, but can we focus on the mission? Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Keiko are waiting outside for you."

We stand up and go downstairs from our apartment. Fighting monsters in ID's actually gives money, so we bought an apartment. Because, f.u.c.k orphanages.

We climb upstairs, seemingly endless stairs, to try to get to Genkai's Temple. Although we aren't even slightly winded or slow, we quickly glide up them and reach the top, where we see hundreds of tough looking people. They are all martial artists at the very least. and are at best Psychics of strong ability.

Inside of that large crowd, will be one dangerous Rando, "hopefully he won't be too much trouble after all the shit training we've gone through." Yusuke mutters."

Continuing forward, Keiko shrugs, "We can handle this. Yusuke, let's go!"

Soon, an old lady comes out of the temple, and claps her hands, The claps echo throughout the forest creating quite the sound. The claps have the effect of quieting the entire area of chatter.

A perpetual frown on her face, what looks to be Genkai an old lady of short stature, in temple robes and wearing a hat that covers her grey-pink hair, She says, "The first test of your screening will be: Drawing lots."

Quickly everyone has a piece of paper that is wrapped in plastic, preventing one from looking inside.

all of us open ours.

I grin, as I notice when I open mine, it slowly turns from white to gold, due to some mystical process, it must have scanned our ability and taken it into consideration.

I look around, those with no spiritual pressure, clearly got the white ones, and those with a shred of talent got a red or gold ticket. Kuwabara and Keiko are the only ones who got a red ticket in our entire group the rest of us got gold tickets.

I actually notice that Keiko's ticket keeps trying to turn gold but failing.

Looking around, I actually don't see any gold tickets besides Rem, Yusuke and I.

"Those of you with gold and red tickets follow me, those of you who lost, please get lost."

She frowns deeper as two unruly guests, who seem to have gotten loser tickets come up to her and shout, "Hold on, We are the most powerful brothers in the entire mountain! We came here because you could make us even greater! You would dare remove us from your mountain without a proper test?!"

"I would now get lost, as I instructed or I will remove you. I'm just trying to save you from embarrassment." Genkai shows a hint of a smile, although it doesn't seem like a nice one, as if she's found something amusing yet annoying.

They growl out "I'm warning you!"

I grin, as this is going to be a good show, even if it is a short one.

With a simple flex of spiritual pressure, they go flying across the way towards a wall and get embedded inside.

"Any other objections? No? Good, now let's get on with it."

We follow her inside.
