My New Isekai!

Chapter 29 - The Two Teens Meet Again!

I ran up to her, "Is that you," I asked urgently.

"Who are you," Sakura asked confused.

"It's me, Haru," I exclaimed. "We were childhood friends, then, you died..."

"Wait, Haru," she asked loudly.

"Yes, do you remember," I said getting excited.

"I think I do, it's hazy," she stated.

"So you remember who I was at least," I asked.

"Weren't you a thug that always got into fights and robbing innocent students for money?"

"Yeah...I changed though, I'm no longer that type of person!"

"How can I trust you," she asked as if she got more memory back. "You're the reason I died."

That brought back memories I wished would never come back, "I know...and I know I wasn't the greatest friend I the world."

"Yeah, you think," she asked rudely.

"Listen, I've changed, as time went on, I became a better person. I've m.a.t.u.r.ed. I know my mistakes, and I won't ever make anyone feel that way ever again!"

"Okay, Haru, I'll give you once chance, and one chance only. If you screw things up for yourself, then, I will personally block you out from my life."

"Thank you, you won't regret it," I mentioned to her. Then I realized something, "Wait, why are you here?"

"A girl named Aqua gave me a offer five years ago. She said that there isn't an enemy, but she's giving me a second chance at life, Now, I'm here."

"Wait, she sent you here without the Demon Lord even present," I asked.

"Yeah, she said, that there was important matters she had to attend to, so, she sent me to a random place, most specifically, this place."

"Well, I'm glad I could meet you again, I've became a hikikomori ever since you passed. That's how bad I felt."

"Wow, I didn't know that," she said. "What happened to the group after I died?"

"They bullied me since you were their favorite. It got to the point where I didn't go to school. The only times I did were to go to conventions, and movies. That's about all," I said.

"I'm sorry, I know you've been a bad person all your life, but that's just awful," Sakura said. "Killing myself brought your life to actual Hell."

"I mean, rightfully so, this might sound messed up, but because of your death, I found out how to be a good person."

"Well, that's good, I guess," she stated in the form of a question.

"Can we change the topic," I said extremely awkward.

"Yeah, let's. Wait, how long have you been here," she asked.

"About a month," I mentioned.

"Wait, you died a month ago?"

"Yeah," I said. "I died trying to save a girl from a truck. It was the day my favorite anime got its movie adaptation."

"Oh, at least you died doing something heroic," she said shrugging.

"Yeah, wait, do you live nearby," I asked.

"Yeah, I do, I'm not that rich, I've only been on a few quests. Now that I think about it, there's posters around the Guild Hall saying you're the first person to defeat a General from the new Demon Lord."

"Yep, that's me. I haven't exactly learned all of my magic, but, anyways, I will eventually," I stated.

"Oh, that's great," she exclaimed. "I hope you learn quickly!"

"Me too...well, I have a question."

"Mmm," she responded quickly.

"Do you have any healing magic," I asked.

"Is it because I'm a women," she asked. "Gosh, I'm not proud of you!"

"I - um - I didn't mean it like that," I exclaimed whilst stuttering each word.

"I was joking," she said laughing. "Yeah, you're a different Haru. If I said that you would've responded with something like 'Shut up, no one asked you,' or something."

"Oh," I said, letting out a huge amount of carbon dioxide.

"Learn how to take a joke, Haru," she said teasingly.

I blushed (she was my first crush I've ever had), "Shut up," I said, laughing.

"I do know someone with healing magic though, I'll show you to him tomorrow," Sakura exclaimed.
