My New Isekai!

Chapter 28 - This Adventurer Takes a Long Waited Break

"Kura, I think I'm able to walk on my own," I announced to her.

"Okay," she said letting go of my right arm.

For some reason, there was no cloth on my arm, so, I grabbed a random paper towel and tied it around my wound.

As doing so, pains echoed through my entire nervous system. But, once getting done with the hard part, I went outside to take a breather.

How has my life come to this point? I was only a hikikomori, a shut-in, and now, I'm killing monsters, and humans too.

I yawned, and laid back, "God, this is amazingly weird," I said to myself.

I lifted up my hand, and kept thinking one thought. Should I stop? I mean, I don't do anything besides complain, or just do stupid stuff.

No, I shouldn't think stuff like this! It's wrong, and nobody should ever think this way.

"Ugh," I exhaled.

"Look, I know you've been through a lot," Kura said as she came outside, "but Haru, you have to admit, it was fun."

"Can't argue with you there," I said laughing. "Kura?"

"Yeah," she asked.

"Thank you," I said. "Thanks to you, I've got to have real friends. If you never found me that day, I think I'd be a totally different person than I am now."

"Don't think about the 'if's', think about the now," Kura exclaimed.

I chuckled, "You know how to keep the jokes coming, don't you," I asked.

"Hey, I'm funny," Kura yelled.

"Eh, you have your moments."

"Okay, I see you," Kura mentioned. "I try to make a joke to lift your spirits up, and you be-grade me. Classical Haru!"

Kura and I laughed, again. I have to admit, it was fun having her around, she, feels like an actually friend!

A tear dropped from my eye, "God, I didn't expect that to happen," I said.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Kura exclaimed. "Did I hurt your feelings, or anything?"

"No, you didn't. I'm just happy I can have a real friend..."

"Well, you better continue being happy, cause I'm never gonna leave you," Kura exclaimed.

As soon as she said this, I flailed my arms around her c.h.e.s.t, "Thank you."

She shaked from not expecting me to hug her, "Your welcome."

For some reason, I didn't let go after she said this, I just kept hugging her, and soon enough, she began to hug me too.

I let out all the emotions I've been storing inside my mind, things like, sadness, fear, happiness, and others. I felt weird to let things out to somebody.

I let go of Kura and sniffed hard. It felt refreshing.

"Hey, I'll be back," I mentioned. "I'm heading to the city, I want to walk around for a bit. See you later!"

"See you, Haru," Kura exclaimed.

I ventured off to Axel (the city of begginers), and just walked around.

I saw some places that I haven't before, I mean, I've only been here once, twice, hell, maybe even four times.

Something doesn't seem right though, ever since I used my Cursed Magic, I've been feeling weird. It's like... I can actively feel it coursing through my veins. It feels...weird.

I ignored it for the most part, maybe I shouldn't use it so recklessly from now on? No, that's probably not the reason. It must be because of me freezing time. Still, I don't know how I did that, I feel like the red head girl was never there, just me hallucinating.

Then, I heard someones voice. A familiar voice, but somehow unfamiliar at the same time. I ran towards it. I ran and ran until I came to the conclusion of it. It was her, her! Not the red haired lady, no. It was, Sakura. My childhood friend.
