My New Isekai!

Chapter 4 - The Power of a Curse

Ignoring that Kura slept beside me, I got a good night's rest.

Waking up, I felt something soft pressed against my face. It was a black cat?

"Chomusuke! Get off of him," Kura shouted.

I slowly sat up getting the stubborn cat off my face and onto my l.a.p. Wait, I fell asleep?! I was trying my hardest not to! Anyways, after I got re-aqqainted with my senses, we headed down to where Satou, and Megumin was sitting.

"Hey, good morning you two," I greeted them.

They looked back at me tired, "Good morning," said both of them in unison.

We all had a pleasant chat, then a question popped up out of the blue, "Hey, do any of you know why I wake up, and Kura's sleeping beside me?"

They looked at me confused, then looked over to Hana. "Kura," Megumin said, "come with me. Now."

Satou looked chill about the whole thing, then looked at me, "You two haven't done bad, right?"

"Of course not!" I quickly stated, "I am thankful to her that she saved me, but I would never stoop to something so low in the heat of the moment."

"Makes sense, you're kinda like me in that area. Thinking back on it, it was fun; Megumin, Darkness/Lalatina, and Aqua were all my beloved party members," Satou said, seeming to tell me more about his past. "I met my little 'sister' in the capital as well, I shaped her the wrong way - Satou Kazuma style." Giving a smirk.

"Sounds like you've had some fun times, Satou." I said, amazed by how many people were by his side.

"Yeah, at first I hated this good for nothing world, but it grew on me. Not wanting to leave the people I cared for the most really brought some light into my soul, especially after I died numerous times on our adventures."

"Wait, you died? How are you still here?"

"Oh yeah, it was all Aqua's doing. She was an Arch-priest; having high healing magic put her in that position." He said, frowning.

"Hey," I said out of nowhere. "Aqua looks like she's doing fine up there, don't worry!"

"Thanks, kid."

After he said that Megumin and Kura came back into the place where Satou and I were. Kura looked as if she was given great amounts of criticism.

"Hey, today I'm going to practice a hand on my magic, so if I came back late, that's why." I said suddenly.

"I'll come with you!" Kura said, her red eyes glowing brightly.

"Okay, I don't mind." I said, smiling

Soon enough, the time came when I was getting my stuff ready to head out. Kura did the same thing, full of supplies to help me with the curse's.

"We're heading out! Bye mom, bye dad!" Kura said, waving at them.

While we were walking around, she seemed fl.u.s.tered, so I got concerned, "Hey, you alright?"

"Y - yeah, I am!" She said, thinking about something.

I ignored it, and soon enough, Hana and I finally reached the destination. I was hyped, learning how to use my magic will be something useful for the future.

"You ready?" I asked her, then she returned my question with a thumbs up.

I raised up my hand, getting ready I shouted, "Cursed Magic!!" When I shouted that those words, it released a black orb of liquid landing twenty meters away.

"Wow," Kura said, excited and curious.

"Just wait, it's gonna come back to bite my a.s.s," I said, ready for what's going to happen.

"What do you me—" She halted in her words, seeing that the black liquid was coming in closer. "Run!! What are you doing?"

"I'm letting it take me, it wouldn't kill it's host, all it's gonna do is knock me unconscious. So, running will take more stamina or in other words, more time to wake up," I explained to her.

Not noticing that it was coming closer, it got me by surprise. I shouted in agony, but to no avail. I blacked out, and next thing I knew, I was in Kura's lap?! This girl needs to stop doing this stuff. She probably gets her pervertedness from Satou.

"Oh...you're finally up?" She asked with a gentle, soothing voice.

"Yeah....what happened," I asked.

"Well...," she started. "after the orb went inside of you, you screamed and pasted out. That's it."

"Oh...I thought it would be a lot cooler, but ok." I said, kinda disappointed.

"Well, we can't get anywhere by sitting, can we?" Kura said, slowly lifting my head off her l.a.p.

"Yeah, I suppose not." I paused for a second, "Shall we head back to your home?"

"Yes. Let's go," she said, jogging off in a weird way.
