My New Isekai!

After we finished our long lasting kiss. Kazuma and Megumin came back inside the room, urgently.

"Haru. Get up, quickly!" Kazuma said as he dragged me out of the bed I was sitting up in.

"Don't even try." an unfamiliar called out to us.

I froze and looked towards the main door to the hallway. I saw a woman that was with about twenty other guards.

I put my hand up in the air. "I don't know what the hell I did, but be gentle!!"

"What the? What are - whatever arrest Haru Evans." the women said.

"Like I said, please be gentle…!"

Before anyone could answer me, the guards grabbed me and put me into cuffs. Why the hell is this happening?!

I got tied up and thrown into a docile cell. "God dammit, what did I do?!"

As I said this, I heard a noise coming from down the prison corridor. It was a man yelling, "Shut it, will you!?"

I automatically got put into my place by the tone of his voice. "I'm sorry!!"

"That's what I thought…" he mumbled to himself.

I turned around, ignoring what he said. "What is happening, though? I literally saved them from the Demon King!" I mumbled to myself.

Well, anyways, I literally have nothing to do but sleep. So, I laid down on the hard cell floor, and eventually passed out. After going through this same sleeping pattern for two days, a female officer came to get me from my cell. She brought me to a room with a man sitting in the corner with a piece of paper and a weird looking middle-ages pencil. Us personally, sat in front of a table with a bell.

"Okay, Haru Evans. What did you do before becoming an adventurer?"

I spit out my dry saliva. Are they interrogating me?! "Um… why…?"

"I want to make sure you're not with anyone or doing anything you shouldn't have. Your very presence as an adventurer has been short and very mysterious."

"Yes. Indeed," I exclaimed. "Well, I guess I was just an average person until then. Living a life of self indulgences in my own room."

The women looked over to the bell. It didn't go off. "Okay... next question: what is that magic you use?"

I flew back in my chair, making it go up to the two back legs. "Um...Zim…?"

"Who is this Zim?"

"Well, he's my familiar - I guess you'd say."

"Familiar? Well, some say they saw you have a demonic, and an angelic side to your magic. Am I correct?"

"Yes…"

The bell didn't ring. I heard the guy behind me writing on his paper like it was the last day on this planet.

"What is this power you have, and how did you gain it?"

"I have no clue -"

The bell rang and my heart started pumping harder than ever.

"Tell me the truth, Haru."

"I was blessed with this power…"

The bell didn't go off. "Fine, since the bell doesn't sense you are lying, I'll believe you as well."

I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank God."

"Last question: do you have any affiliation with cursed magic, or any affiliation with former Demon King Generals?"

"No." I said, hoping that the Cursed Magic didn't count, but clearly hoping for no avail.

The bell went off. She put her hand down on the table and walked out of the room. "See you tomorrow, Haru."

My heart sank as I got brought back to my cell. I had a hard time sleeping that night. I'm not ready for the worst scenario.

I woke up to them women calling out my name. I got up, and they put my hands within a wooden board. I walked with both my hands bound to a stand that looked like a execution stand with a noose, and a court.

My heart pounded, and I got dizzy. I was close to puking from shock, but stopped myself.

"Silence!" a person in a robe said. "Haru, as the accused, you have to prove your innocence."

I swallowed my spit with a "gulp!" and shook my head. I looked over at my defense and saw Kazuma there with Megumin, Kura, and a blonde haired lady?

I gave a confused look and Kazuma mouthed to not worry about it.

"Okay, the first witness may come up to the stand," the women said pointing to another woman in the crowd.

She soon came out and it was the red haired lady I've met many times before.

"Okay, what's your name," the prosecutor asked.

"Ichiji Teishi," the girl said.

Wait, her name is Ichiji? Did I ever catch her name to begin with?!

"Okay, Ichiji, what have you seen the suspect do?"

"Well, I guess I've seen him first at the capital, right after defeating the first Demon King General." the red-haired lady said.

"Mhm..?" the prosecutor hummed.

"Well, I guess I didn't see much but seeing a little kid coming out of his body on command."

I had a mini heart attack when she said this. Was she trying to get me executed?!

"That's all we needed to know, thank you."

After the red haired lady went back in the stand, I saw Sakura walk up next, easily confused.

"Okay, tell us, what have you seen Haru do?"

"Nothing really. I mean, I personally didn't see anything happen, I just knew Haru since we were kids."

I let out a loud "gasp!" in hopes that they'd forget what she just said. Didn't work…

"Okay, what was he like as a child?"

I saw Sakura put her finger on her chin. I could already tell she was going to spill everything. She wasn't the smartest tool in the shed.

"Well, I guess you could say he was a punk."

As soon as she said this, I flinched, then quietly mumbled to myself, "Could've not said that…"

"A punk you say? I think that's all the evidence we need here." the girl questioning said as she sent Sakura back to the crowd. Sakura looked confused walking back to the crowd of people.

"Okay next—"

"Hold up!" I yelled through her voice. "This isn't valid evidence to qualify me for any kind of crimes. You are gaining information about my past. That isn't enough to say I'm a criminal."

"Yes, okay, how about you pull out that boy then?"

I coughed. "You sure…?"

"Yeah, if you're so innocent, let's watch if there is a kid or not. That will count for if you have any cursed elements within' your body."

I coughed once more and mumbled in my breath, "Zim…"

"Yeah, I know." Zim said as he appeared throughout the air from my body.

I held my head in shame, hoping that nobody would think this is dark magic. Everybody looked terrified, and then I sent Zim back inside, gaining a ton of pain while doing so.

"Haru Evans," the judge started, "for your use of dark magic, I hereby call you, Haru Evans, to death by hanging."

My heart started pumping even faster, and faster. Once they hit the hammer onto the table, my heart froze and the guards then started shoving me into position to hang myself.

The women walked up to me, "Have any last words, Haru Evans?"

I stood there thinking, and then I suddenly said, "I am innocent!"

"Bye Haru." she said as they ordered them to shove me off.

Suddenly, someone yelled, "Hey!"

Everybody froze and looked towards the defence. There, everybody saw the blonde haired lady stand up with a crest in her hand.

"My name is Lalatina Dustiness, and I used to be part of Satou Kazuma's four person party. Together, we defeated the Demon King. Not only have we been through a situation like this before, I am here to make it better again."

"Lalatina? You mean the useless Crusader?" everyone said whilst laughing.

This got my head spinning in a bit of a circle. Lalatina, Crusader, wait… is this the Crusader "Darkness" that Kazuma talked about when I first met him?!

"Well, Ms. Dustiness, he is accused of being a user of cursed magic, and could even be part demon. So, if you're not correct about this, it will come back to bite us later on."

"Yes, I know, your Honour. But, my dear friend here 'Satou Kazuma' has been friends with Haru Evans here for quite a while. So I think I can trust an old party member, and a trusted friend."

"Yes, Ms. Dustiness, but he will certainly have to prove his innocence of cursed magic." the judge said. "I hereby call of the order of death by hanging and have Haru Evans be suspected until further notice!" he said as he slammed his hamor down on the table, and got up from his post.

Kura, Kazuma, and I all jumped in the air. We all cheered in pure glee at the appearance of my innocence. I couldn't believe that I would be accused of something I have actually done. That bell really screwed me at that moment. Hopefully I never have to see that thing again.
