My New Isekai!

I stopped cheering after a good bit. To be honest, I was scared to the core. Almost dying like that was kinda traumatic...for the future of my adventuring, is this going to cause me any trouble? Like, serious trouble?

"Haru, let's get out of here before they accuse us of another thing we've done." Kazuma said with a gleeful smile running across his face.

"What's that smile for?" I said with a grossed out face.

"Eh? Can't I be happy that my daughters 'friend' didn't die?" Kazuma asked this while making quotations around the word "friend."

I leaned Kazuma in, "We don't talk about that, 'kay?"

"Okay, chill."

"Good." I said with a little laugh.

We all left the area of the court (which if it wasn't obvious at this point, was outside). And I stretched out in excitement to be out of that medieval handcuff thingy.

"God," I complained to myself, "who knew they'd try to execute me for my magic?!"

"Haru, the magic you have is highly illegal in the world," Kura stated.

"Wait...what?" I said in response.

"Yeah, you idiot! What did you expect? You're lucky Mrs. Dustiness is here."

"Oh, yeah." I said with glee as I turned around toward the blonde haired lady. "Thank you for your gratitude upon a young adventurer like me."

"No problem, Mr. Evans."

"Please, call me Haru." I said, not liking the name I have.

"Okay, Haru."

I looked around, and then faced Mrs. Lalatina. "Kura said you were married by the 'Mrs' title?"

"Yes?"

"Well, where's the husband?"

"Oh, he's at the capital taking care of our kids, Polly and Charlotte."

I fell to the ground. Wait, they're related? What kind of cliche crap is this?!

"I didn't know my party members were a part of your family." I said with a bit of anxiety running across my face.

"Ah, yes. One of them takes after me, one after the father."

I froze in place. "One takes after you…?"

"Yes. God, ever since I met that man, he's always casting horrible spells on my body, and I just love it~"

I turned around. "Thank you for the help, Lalatina." I yelled as I ran away from the group of people.

I stopped running after a good amount of time. That woman...she is terrifying…. Did I seriously get saved by someone that crazy?!

"Thanks to the defeat of the Demon King, we are holding a festival to celebrate!" some people called out to everybody multiple times. "It starts at the crack of nightfall."

"Nightfall, eh…?" I mumbled to myself. "Should I bring Kura?"
