My New Isekai!

Chapter 67 - This Young Adventurer Wonders into Another Terrible Situation!

"I, um… I don't know." I said to my crying mother.

She just kept crying whilst she hugged me. To be honest, I don't think anything could explain what happened.

"...Please… come in and take a look at your room…" mother said as she let go of me and pushed me in slowly.

She stopped pushing me and I continued by myself to my old room. Once I reached there, I opened the door, and saw something I couldn't believe: flowers, notes, gifts, all things given to me after I passed away.

I fell onto my hands and knees as a tear started to form in my eye.

Zim interrupted my peaceful, emotional time, "Haru," he started, "I think I know what happened."

I pulled back with shock, "What was it?"

"So… I was looking at my skills, and, I might've accidentally 'upgraded' your Teleport skill."

As he said this, I put on the blankest face you could put on. "I swear to God, how do you even do that…?"

"Remember the horn? Yeah, that."

I face palmed. "Great. I teleported here and don't know how to get back."

My mom must've heard me talking to Zim because she said, "Haru, come here."

I complied as I got up from my knees and headed downstairs. Once I reached the bottom step, I experienced a great deal of pain, almost as if I was getting shocked.

I passed out moments later, and woke up in a metal chair, with my body strapped to it with leather latches.

"Test subject: Number One is awake, sir," I heard a mysterious man's voice say.

"Great." I heard another man say as he went up closer to the microphone in a room wherest I couldn't see. "Haru Evans, that is you, correct?"

I couldn't talk because of a thing covering my mouth, so I shook my head hesitating for any signs of hostility.

"Hmm," the man hummed. "Let him be able to speak."

Moments later, a man walked in a took of the strap that was on my mouth, then left the room.

"What do you want with me?!" I yelled aloud, hoping for answers that were probably not coming my way.

"Well," the man said, "you shouldn't be alive. So, you have to have something that made you live through that car crash."

My heart skipped a few beats. They're wondering how I'm alive?! I'm effed. I'm not joking, I am screwed beyond imagination.

"Haru," Zim started, "look, you can still use magic in this world for some reason. So, try and cast a spell to leave."

"It's kinda hard, Zim." I mumbled through the man talking to me.

"Freeze time, Haru, then, grab that knife from your boot - or I will have to cut it down."

"How about you do it," I mumbled.

"Okay, well, freez—"

"Zim?" I asked frantically.

"Who are you talking to, Haru?" a man said beside me.

"Um… nobody?"

"Hmm, yeah, yeah, sure," the man sarcastically said as he pulled out a syringe.

My heart stopped at the sight of this and frantically yelled, "God's Blessing!" shooting a beam of light at the straps (it was tied around his hand as well) and used all of my might to punch the man in the face.

"Zim, stop time," I yelled out.

Zim complied and quickly came from my body and fiddled around with the straps until they came off.

Time resumed and people charged into the room with Assault Rifles.

"Calm down, ladies, I'm just a lowly man, don't shoot, don't shoot."

"Get down on your hands and knees!" one of the officers said.

"Nah." I said with a slight smirk on my face.

"Everyone, fire."

I gave a grin, and stopped time. I quickly took their guns away from the men and threw them all to the ground.

Time resumed and they wondered what happened to the guns, soon realizing that they were on the ground.

As I walked past them, I put my hand on my chin. "Am I changing?" I mumbled to myself, genuinely worried that I might be turning evil.
