The three groups sent to safeguard were the top graded men in terms of fighting and intelligence in the recently appointed guard's department however he was aware of their secret involvement with the dreadful cooperation in the netherworld. Therefore, he was bound to lose this fight.

The cars with teams B and C which were previously following team A abruptly increased their speeds and caught up with the leadership team as soon as the order was issued.

Just as they were wondering, a bullet penetrated the glass of the car, producing a heavy clang sound, shattering the glass in all the directions before striking one of the men. Glancing at the direction of the source, they were completely caught off guard by their own people.

Pulling out their firearms, they fired at them without hesitation.

The city broke out in a state of chaos. Since it was early before sunrise, only handful of people were visible strolling on the pavements.

Bullets rained down on the road, passersby were horrified by the scene and quickly fled away.

Team A became anxious at the unexpected firing. The people inside the car immediately did the same towards the other two cars but lost due to limited manpower. Spine-chilling screams resonated in the entire area. Noticing the decrease in the speed of the opponent's car, they quickly overtook and blocked their route.

Watching them walk towards him, the driver hastily pressed the device in his left ear and started reporting.

"Sir, something's wrong with Team B and C. Please send back up. Plea-" but before he could utter another word, the person was shot dead.

"Team B reporting. No survivors." The person sitting in the driving seat said emotionlessly, his voice drifted through his mouthpiece.

"Good, Any followers?" Ava calmly sassed.

"No, but soon they'll be." The man replied.

"Kill them all." Then she cut the line before turning to look at Curtis.

"How long has it been since you've driven wildly?" She raised her brows and smirked.

"Ha-ha, I know what you mean but we can't make them suspicious." Big boy aka Curtis chuckled slightly.

"Don't worry, just do as I say." She replied indifferently.

"Sir, something's wrong with Team B and C. Please send back up. Plea-" then the line was cut down.

The entire place turned frightening. Everyone sitting inside the car tensed up.

"Where is the ambulance?" His chilly voice resonated in their minds and snapped them out from their nightmares.

"Don't worry sir, I've already placed the tracker in the ambulance. They can't escape." His assistant's hands progressed and pulled out a tracking device. Just when he was expecting to see a red dot on the screen, a huge hand moved ahead and snatched it away.

His were eyes fixed on the screen, gazing intently as if he was trying to find something important.

After quite some time, he interrogated.

"Who placed the tracker?" His gaze grew increasingly colder and a terrifying aura emitted inside the car.

His assistant hadn't really seen the screen. Therefore, he had no idea about his intention behind the question but he sensed something wrong since he served him for over the past 10 years. He could tell that he more or less understood his boss.

Guessing by his expression, something bad seemed to have occurred.

He extended his neck slightly and leered at the screen to find it empty. It was as if the lighting stuck him and his entire body froze. Knowing the consequences of being careless, he swallowed a mouthful of non-existent saliva, he grits his teeth before saying, "It was me." Then he quickly lowered his head in fear of his terrifyingly cold eyes.

He sat there waiting for his sentence for a long time but soon realized something before doubtfully raising her eyes to see his boss already leaning back with his eyes shut.

he sighed lightly 'Seems like boss already had a backup plan.'

After some time he rose and dialed a number. The other party picked his call

"Master, they're safe," he answered calmly.

"Keep an eye on them and text me their location."

The people in the ambulance were a little anxious since both their enemies were very close to them.

"Why do I keep having this feeling that everything's not right?" Ava asked.

"My gosh! Why can't you just keep your mouth shut for once?" Dawson was already anxious enough but now as soon as her words left her mouth, he felt infuriated.

"Both of you, just shut up. Curtis? How long?" Stephie inquired again, this time even she felt anxious for some unknown reason.

"Don't worry, we'll soon reach the port." He said calmly but he seemed tensed.

"Nathan's already on board. He wants us to hurry up." She tried to convince him to speed up slightly.

"I know" Then without waiting for them to hold on. He raised his leg and stepped on the accelerator. The ambulance flew just like a bird in the air. Honking and overtaking fiercely, he almost reached the port.

"I think we should stop here," Ava replied.

"Why?" They asked her in unison.

"Two black cars. Hurry and kill them." she ordered before hanging up.

"Where did they go?" Ryker asked.

"To Wang's group, sir." His man replied respectfully.

"Take the shortest route," he ordered coldly.

His assistant, who was on a call earlier turned around and said, "Sir, our men have been shot by another group. Seems like they're preventing Madam from being taken away."

"Kill everyone as soon as we reach there," he said indifferently before digging out his wallet from the pocket of his suit.

Opening it wide, his sight fell on the gorgeous woman resting her head on the shoulders of another man. Both of them had a bright smile wide enough to reveal their pearly white teeth. They appeared to be around the age of fourteen or thirteen.

The tips of his finger stroked the man in the picture before landing on the woman. His hand paused while a complicated glint flashed in his beautiful eyes.

'How did we come to this point?' His sight lingered on the man for a long time.
