My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

It was not long when Jessica fell asleep.

John racked his brains and somehow stopped her from stripping off her clothes in front of him. It took his efforts to stop looking at her. He kept reminding himself that he should not do anything that he might regret later.😣

They reached the place where she lived. He tried to wake her up but she treated him as an annoying mosquito who was trying to disturb her rest.

Sigh.

He lifted her in his arms in princess style. When he looked at her, sleeping peacefully in his arms, he felt something warm bubbling in his c.h.e.s.t. She wriggled a bit and found a cozy spot, finally leaned her on his shoulder. She was his fiance. This thought itself lifted his mood. He had to talk to her about the whole marriage thing their parents had set up.

John entered her condo and found her room. He helped her lay down. He bent forward and carefully put her down. She had tightly gripped his shirt and was unwilling to let go. She had a small frown on her face, but it soon went away.

He smiled to himself and slowly removed her hands. He tucked her in the blanket and kept a glass of water and a hangover medicine on the bedside table.

After making sure that she was sound asleep, he went back too.

Not long after John had left the condo, Jack entered and saw that Jessica was sound asleep. He was relieved and planned to stay with her for the night.

Next day,

Jessica woke up with a severe headache.

'I shouldn't have had so much liquor yesterday'

She spotted a glass of water and medicine on the bedside table.

'Ah! Thank god water is here'

She took the medicine and drank water.

'Wait for a minute!! Why I am here? Who sent me home last night?'🤯

She looked around and saw that Jack was sleeping on the sofa in her room.

'Rose must have called him to send me home'

Jess had no recollection of what happened after she was being dragged away by 'that man'.

'I will call Rose and ask her what happened and how I got back home'

She was about to go to bathroom to freshen up when she saw a jacket on her bed. The jacket didn't look like the one Jack would wear. She picked it up and started looking around it.

Who knows what suddenly came to her mind, she put it around her shoulders. She could smell a very familiar manly scent in it. She unconciously closed her eyes and a silly smile on her face.

'It must be painful'

Her eyes opened wide in shock. Who said this to me earlier?

She looked at the jacket and tried to recall the face of man.

'Here take it. It is quite cold. I will drop you home'

Her head started aching. She could remember snippets of what happened but couldn't recall his face.

Rose!!

She moved towards the bedside, picked up her phone and called Rose.

"The number you are trying to call is not available. Please try again later."

Ughhh!!

Why can't I contact her? I will call her later then.

She went and freshened up.

She woke her brother up.

Jack: " Heyyy Jess... just let me sleep a bit longer... Oww oww oww. My neck hurts"

Jess: "Go and sleep on the bed then. I will let you sleep a bit longer"

Jack: (In a sluggish manner) "I... you... I can sleep a bit on bed right? Thanks"

He moved toward her bed and fell asleep there.

Jess couldn't stop laughing at her brother. He seemed to turn cuter today. She missed spending time with her siblings. She promised herself to go home every other week to spend some time with them.

She made herself a cup of coffee and was looking through the work tablet. Organising and arranging the schedule for next two days.

"Oh! today is the boss took half day off and I took a. day off too. Yay I will relax and spend some time with my dear brother here."

She happily sipped her coffee and walked towards her calender.

"My birthday is coming up. Let's see how much time I have for planning a trip with my family"

She took the planner and a small note caught her attention.

'Date- XX, Meet my future fiance'

Today is xx.

Sh*t! Today I am supposed to meet him.
