My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

Jess was momentarily in shock. She was happy that the first half of her work schedule was clear so she could meet her 'fiance' on the fixed date, but the issue now was setting up a place and time.

'Should I call him? I never had a conversation with him before. No. I will not call him, what if he feels that I am desperate to marry him? No, I am not going to give him any false hope or idea'

As she was wrecking her brain about what to do about the whole situation, her phone rang.

Jess: "Hello, Dad. Good morning"

Lincoln: "Good morning to you as well my dear cupcake. Did you get ready?"

Jess: "I am not ready as yet, I will be... and it is for..."

Lincoln: "It is for your meeting." Gasp "Oh dear! Do not tell me that you forgot about it. I sent you a text message yesterday about the time and place which has been set up."

Jess quickly checks her inbox. Yes, there it was.

[A reminder about your date... I mean your first meeting with him.

Time: 11:AM

Venue: SS Cafe

Reservations will be made by the name of Parkers.

Reach the place on time. Byee]

Sigh!

Date?

Technically it will be their first date. She tensed up.

"Jess? Dear are you there?"

"Ahh! I am so sorry dad. Yes, I am here. I just saw the message you sent me earlier. I have two hours to get ready and leave for the place, so don't worry. I will have to go now. Bye dad"

Lincoln bid her goodbye but didn't end the call before reminding her again about the location and time of the place.

The SS Cafe,

Jess was now outside the cafe. The rose gold wristwatch said the time was fifteen minutes to eleven o'clock. She was wearing a white top and a deep blue colored skirt with white polka dots on them, it reached just above her knees. She was carrying a small tan colored sling bag and wore sandals of the same shade.

"I have reached here on time. What was the name again...? Parker. Right, I should head in then."

She walked in and removed her sunglasses. The receptionist asked her politely.

"Ma'am, would you reserve a room or check-in?"

"The reservations have already been made by the name of Mr. Parker"

"Please give me a moment" After checking the information she replied her positively and asked her to follow the server to the private room booked for them.

The server took her to a private room and asked what she would like to drink while waiting for the other person to arrive. Jessica ordered a glass of lemon soda. After the server left the room, she looked around the room. The room had a very big window beside which a table for two was kept. There were big flower vase kept in four corners of the room and the fragrance of the fresh flowers filled the room.

She took a seat and was a little nervous waiting for the man to arrive. The server served her drink and left. While taking a sip of her drink, she looked out from the window. 

The scenery was very beautiful. There was a small pond and around it there were flower bushes and many tall trees.

When the wind blew, the ripples formed in the pond reflected the rays of the sun, it looked very pleasing. 

She was thinking about her dreams of living a happy life with her loved one, but now it was nothing more than a dream.

Sigh! 

She was still looking out of the window, lost in her own world. The door of the room opened and it closed again very softly. 

"Hello" said the intruder.

Jessica snapped back from her thoughts and turned to look at the person who entered the room. 

"Hello, I am…"

Jessica's eyes widened in surprise when she saw the person in front of her.

"Y-you…"
