My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

The next day the President of the World Corporation looked happy. The President who usually took his private elevator top his cabin, today entered through the main gate. The receptionist was in shock.

"Good morning President"

John gave her a slight nod and walked into the building. Mr. Cox shook his head. 'Today there will be a catastrophe' The female workers turned their head to see their President for the first time. whisperings were heard all around the floor.

"Today the President entered from the front gate"

"He avoids public appearances, what is in store for us today"

"He is in a good mood. I think our company signed a major contract"

Before entering the elevator, he gave them a faint smile. The effect was that the already swooning employees were now attacked with a deadly weapon.

Mr. Cox sighed helplessly. He immediately gave orders and the employees regained their lost composure and went back to their desks and started working.

Jessica, as usual, had already arrived and was currently sitting at her desk, working and sipping her coffee. Jess having finished her first report, was about to divide the work among other subordinates when she noticed someone was standing before her desk. She thought it was Mr. Cox so without looking up she continued.

"Hello Mr. Cox, I have just the first set of reports. I will go and divide..." When she suddenly looked up, she could not continue.

"..." What was he doing here in front of me, wasn't he supposed to hide away in his office?

"Good morning President. I was saying earlier that the first sets of reports are done"

"Good. After what you have to do, come and report in the cabin" John went inside his cabin.

'Report him personally? I hope everything goes well'

Jess was in a good mood as well since this morning. She was extra efficient in finishing in her work today. When she was sipping coffee, the diamond ring on her finger shined and she could not stop smiling.

She went to the department to allocate the necessary work when a co-worker noticed the ring on her finger. Although it was a simple white gold ring with multiple diamonds on the band, the unusual shine on her fingers caught attention. She wore a very simple and minimal accessory, so it was even more noticeable.

"This... I got engaged yesterday. This is my engagement ring"

Lovely, her co-worker was very happy for her. "Really? Oh my god! Congratulation senior. I wish you a very happy married life"

Rutuja, also her co-worker echoed the words and soon they were discussing her fiance. Jess felt a little uncomfortable talking about John so she immediately diverted their attention by allocating them work and left the place in a hurry.

She hesitantly walked towards President's cabin. She had made sure to send him the schedule for the day, organized the doc.u.ments and fixed a time for the site visit.

She heard a soft 'enter' and decided to enter. She saw that he was serious and engrossed in work. Behind him, the ceiling to floor windows gave a beautiful view of the sky-scr.a.p.ers. The ray of the sun cast a glow over half of his body, he looked like a male god sitting there. She cleared her throat, "The schedule for today has been sent to your tablet, I have organized the necessary doc.u.ments and it will be sent to you in a short while whereas the sighting for the new plot of land is scheduled at 4:00 PM. I think it is the best time for checking the place. This is all."

John finally looked up. "Good. I never doubted your professionalism, Ms. Blevins."

"This is my work"

"So, I want you to work with me"

"Work with you? I am already working for you?" Jess was confused.

"Yes, you are indeed working for me, but not with me. I will promote you to the post of my personal secretary."
