My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

A few days later.

The work went on smoothly in the World Corporation. John and Jess were now working together. She was a lot less reserved in front of him now, they spent quite a lot of time together. The happy atmosphere from a few days back, when the Ceo entered from the main gate was not repeated. Mr. Cox spent a lot to coax John to not perform the stunt quite often. Even though John was not fully convinced, he decided to listen to the old man's wishes for a few days.

Jess and John were going along quite well now. She now felt more comfortable around him. More she spent time with him, she seemed to like him more. As his personal secretary, she stays with him almost all the time. This caused an uproar in the office. All those ladies who fancied their boss, now jealously looked at Jess.

Lady 1: "Why does she spend so much time with the boss? She ain't got any other job to do?"

Lady 2: "She must have done something to get attention"

Teja and Rutuja could no longer listen to their nonsense.

Teja: "She is just doing her work."

Rutuja: "If you focus more on work, you will get promoted as well"

The employees could not refute their words. Who knew better than them that Jess indeed worked very hard. She organized the files and made very detailed plans. She managed her team very efficiently. They left and went back to their work-station with a sour mood.

These rumors didn't affect Jess's work. She ignored all the comments going around in the office about her.

After work, Evening.

John and Jess came to the parking. John, without fail, used to send her home. Jess tried to stop him, but he insisted on sending her home.

They got in the car. Jess put her seat belt and settled down. John had a complicated expression on his face. It was a weekend and he wanted to spend it with her. He wanted to take her out on a date. The problem was that he had not yet figured out how he should say her about it.

'I should just ask her out, she is my fiancée, she will agree to it.'

After gathering courage, he finally called her, "Jess"

Jess was looking out of the window, on listening to him call her, turned towards him. "Yes"

"Tomorrow is the weekend. Do you have anything planned out?"

"Umm... No. I do not have any plan"

"What are you going to do tomorrow then?" He asked her. Good opportunity to know what she likes to do during her free time.

"Well, nothing much. I love reading novels. Usually, I spend time reading or watching television."

"How about going out?" He was nervous.

Jess here was not expecting this. 'He asked me out. Oh my god. What should I do?'

Every minute was like an hour for him. He didn't want her to reject his offer. After thinking for a while, when she agreed, John calmed down.

He dropped her at her place and went home. John was very happy and started making preparations for the next day.

Jess had just agreed to his request. She was very excited about tomorrow.

"What should I wear? He didn't even tell me where we will go. How am I supposed to dress up?"

She rummaged through her entire closet and finally selected a dress.

"I think this would look good"

For John and Jess, the night was filled with anticipation about tomorrow. Both of them could wait for the next day, the day of their 'first date'.
